I traveled 3 ½ hours, from Daytona Beach to Pembroke Pines, Florida, to see if Dr. Jorge Gonzalez' (Sports Medicine) Ultrasound-guided 'Trigger Finger Release' procedure could work for me … NOT A WASTED TRIP! I had the 'initial visit' (education and x-rays) on a Friday, and the actual operation the next Tuesday. One, almost painless numbing injection, and zero pain for the A1 release. No more trigger finger. Much, much better than the 'standard of care' 1 inch incision, in a surgical operating room setting, with the necessary stitches and their follow-up for removal. Thank you, Dr Gonzalez!

I recently visited Dr. Gonzalez for a VERY PAINFUL shoulder. Found out that I had "frozen shoulder". He explained the condition, possible causes and solution and let me ask numerous questions to ensure I was confident. Immediate solution was an injection ( I am terrified of needles). He utilized ultrasound to assist in injection ( minimize injection attempts) . Thank goodness. He was extremely patient and kind due to my nervousness. Injection process was not as nearly as bad as I thought it to be and I had IMMEDIATE relief of pain and had some movement of my shoulder. I would definitely refer any family or friends to Dr. Gonzalez and his practice.

If you have carpal tunnel syndrome, RUN DON’T WALK, to Dr. Jorge Gonzalez in Fort Lauderdale, FL! Dr. Gonzalez is one of only two doctors in Florida who can perform the minimally invasive treatment (Micro-invasive CTR) for CTS. The first hand specialist I saw was pushing the old procedure; invasive, long recovery, required PT. Talented, professional and ready to listen to and answer any question you might have is who Dr. Gonzalez is.

Dr. Gonzalez is an excellent doctor that cares about his patients! He is very honest and a great listener. You feel like family! I fractured my elbow and tore some ligaments in my arm. This was a blessing in disguise. At the same time, my son that plays water polo in PA for his college had his arm dislocated in a game and tore his labrum and had 3 numb fingers from his injury. Dr. Gonzalez followed me and my son’s progress. This put my mind at ease knowing that he was being followed up by my doctor that we trust! It was an easy choice for our son to have his surgery with this office. Everyone in the office is so nice, compassionate and helpful! Kara J. greets you with a beautiful smile. She was so helpful in communicating with the doctor and takes care of things immediately. I love that Dr Gonzalez is very conservative in treatment. I have already recommended several friends. They too have had an excellent experience. We are so blessed to have him in our community! Thank you!

I visited Dr.G's office for treatment on my injured knee . After leaving my knees felt GREAT, I'm back in the gym Squatting and running around. His staff is amazing and talented especially Kara J.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Gonzalez and his staff. He has been treating my knees for arthritis and I have been in a lot of pain. He initially gave me two injections which have helped tremendously! I am having a Lipo Gem procedure in a couple of weeks. He totally understood my problems in my pain and as I said the pain has been lessened quite a bit . He and Dr. Yoldas run an incredible facility. I am lucky to have found him. Thank you Dr. Gonzalez!

This may be my second review as I don't see the first. Dr. Gonzalez repaired a trigger finger in his office. He and his staff were friendly, efficient and very considerate. The procedure was carefully done and I felt immediate relief in this very painful condition. I can't express my gratitude at not having to go to the hospital to have this procedure. Thank you to the efficient staff and to Dr. Gonzalez. The entire experience was amazing. My hand is now 100%.

My wife had been using Dr. Yoldis for years and I was introduced to Dr. Gonzales who then took over services for both my wife and I now for several years. The level of service is outstanding and the Practice is highly professional - minimal waiting times or no waiting, for example. Both my wife and I have been told we need knee replacements and I also told I need at least one shoulder replacement. We have each seen several doctors over the last 10 years but once joining Dr. Gonzalez a few years ago, we have actually improved our shoulder/knees thanks to this remedial injections, pain management advices and thus his assisting us to be able to continue to exercise regularly. We are in our early 70's and we do not want more surgery if we can help it. This is a EXCELLENT Medical Practice.

I was referred to Dr G’s office by a co worker of mine. I suffered an ankle injury. Dr G’s prompted care and expertise made me feel comfortable! I knew I was in good hands! And let’s not forget about his incredible staff! Top notch!

Had a torn Rotator Cuff injury initially misdiagnosed in the ER! Dr. Gonzalez was able to give an appropriate diagnosis in less than 5 min with his excellent ultrasound skills!! He offered multiple treatment options and together we found the one that best suited me. He was kind, patient and gentle. My experience was so great that now most of my family members and getting their joint pain care done by Dr. Gonzalez at OSI. I'm so grateful to have encountered such an amazing, caring and knowledgable physician. Hard to find a medical gold mine these days!

I went there due to a go-kart accident. He clearly discussed what the x-ray showed, and what the next steps would be. I appreciate that his first answer wasn't surgery. I was worried because as the saying goes " to a hammer everthing looks like a nail" not this doctor. From this first visit he appears to be very knowledgable. Additionally, the office staff was great. Professional, polite and efficient.

Run for your lives! I called today after seeing the doctor a month ago for joint pain. I was in excruciating pain. I was told that I couldn’t see the doctor until later in the week and I was told go to a walk-in clinic. Could not even get a prescription of any kind. The most unprofessional, in humane office and staff I have ever dealt with in all of my God-given days! I have very good insurance and I was treated like yesterday’s trash.

I don't often leave these types of reviews. however, I want to praise the entire staff of the Orthopedic Specialty Institute as my first visit was terrific from the moment I walked through the front door until I left to go home. Awesome staff. Dr. Gonzalez understood exactly where I was coming from and put me at ease and was very helpful. I definitely recommend this practice.
