Dr. Mejia has been my doctor since 2006. He knew immediately what was wrong, and he gave me the appropriate meds. I have not had a twinge since. If I ever have a heart attack, I don't want anyone else ever caring for me. I want Dr. Mejia!

Two years ago I had an episode of racing irregular heart beats. Waited 6 weeks for an appt. eck was normal by the time I had the appt. One year ago another severe episode, wore a holter monitor for weeks, had several episodes while wearing it. But the clinic said they saw nothing(?). Had a stress test and Dr. Mejia said to me while walking out the door “it’s not your heart, eat right and exercise.” I trusted him and ignored my fluttering chest. A few months later I had another severe episode racing irregular heart beat called his office, talked to a nurse. She looked at my records, she said to get up and eat something and it should go away. She reluctantly made an appt., again another 4 week wait. Eventually it did go away and I cancelled the appt. because after all “it wasn’t my heart”. Fast forward to this year. All year weak fatigued, wobbly, vision problems and this fluttering in my chest. Thought it was just aging, powered through. Last weekend my chest felt jiggly and I felt faint, went to er. Afib was diagnosed immediately with possible iscemic strokes that had happened throughout the year. I felt disregarded and brushed off and not taken seriously by this dr., so I ignored my symptoms because he blew me off and he was the expert. Hospital stay and medication. Dr. Mejia's manner of engaging was both professional and personable. He was attentive and friendly and knew exactly what our issue was. He recommended two tests that narrowed down what the cause was. Finally having a diagnosis helped us to move forward and we couldn't be more happy. I recommend dr. Mejia to anyone as he listens, pays attention and is straightforward in his recommendations.
