Dr. Bernstein has been our primary care physician for about 25 years. He is very kind and patient & takes the time to listen. He addresses all concerns with appropriate action and follow up care. I have no reservations recommending him. To address the review stating he could be happier, I believe he is allowed to react to losses just like the rest of us. We still travel to New York to see him even though we've moved out of state. Dr. Bernstein has been our primary care physician for about 25 years. Smells like Cigarettes in here, so much for a comfortable environment, forget the Google maps direction this place is in the back alley and there's absolutely no information that its located in the back alley...Receptionist is stuck up, like she hates her job stuck up, so Forget trying to find it with Google maps..lol, if I did not have to be here I definitely would not go out of my way to find this hole. Find another Dr. Thats easier to find...lol. Stay away! Went for a general check up and mentioned that i was only looking to get annual physical check-up done, one of his 20 year old doc (female with short hair) submitted over 20 tests to be done that i didn't need nor was covered by my insurance I only found out about this when i received a large bill in the mail. After i called aetna multiple times to have the bill appealed this office sent me a letter letting me know that they no longer can "serve me as my physician". The office manager was awful eveytime aetna transfered me to her she was just screaming in the phone. Their stuff took about 45 minutes to take the blood work. scam! Stay away! Oh also to get your records they will charge you! Stay away! One of the best Doctor in queens.

I Have recently switched to Dr Bernstein as my PCP. I have seen him a few times already and have recommended him to many family members. Very thorough and follows up with my care. Glad I found a great doc.

Dr. Bernstein takes great care of his patients. I recommend all my friends to see him. He got me off medication that I was taking for many years and I feel great. Very efficient and nice office staff.

On the two occasions I came to see Dr. Bernstein he was very dismissive and seemed utterly uninterested in seeing me. He does not speak English well and does not explain things, but was most certainly quick to order additional services and tests in effort to be paid, however. I do not recommend this doctor.

Horrible service by reception, especially blond woman who appeared to be an office manager. Not customer oriented and rude. Doctor is great, performed immigration services. Seemed warm and professional. To get copy of medical records from immigration appointment costs $50.00. I needed to get employment forms signed off by doctor. Both times it was a horrible experience getting it done, receptionist didn't want to assist. Said that have to schedule another appointment just to get forms signed off for prior visit. Would recommend Doctor, both times he agreed to sign off and explained a process. The worst part was the blond receptionist, who couldn't explain a process and just refused to cooperate. One of the best medical doctors I’ve ever been to. Smart, great bedside manner, couldn’t be happier. I have recommended him to several of my friends.

Excellent doctor and office staff. Have always been really friendly to my entire family that has seen Dr Bernstein for many years. Have recommended Dr Bernstein and his nurse practitioner to many of my friends

I am very pleased with the service I received in Dr. Bernstein office. He is an amazing doctor who is very caring and answers all my questions. He takes his time and I never feel rushed. His staff is one of the best staffs I have ever seen working in a doctors office. They are all very professional, considerate and are extremely helpful. I never wait a long time and if the doctor is running behind his staff always apologizes for the wait. Highly recommend this office.

Doctor is great, but his staff isn't. Horrible customer service, they just refuse to do anything unless you ask doctor directly. Reception isn't able to properly direct and advise on process and steps. Office manager (blond woman) rude and unprofessional, two other receptionists try to be helpful but listen to their office manager's directions. Staff needs to be trained and be more attentive to patients's needs.

I was baffled when I had to ask twice only to still receive, no water. (The water in the waiting room was empty). I did finally manage to get water after asking Dr. Bernstein directly. Awful service, took nurses about 35 minutes to take the blood, also you might get a bill for services that you didn't need or requested. Customer service people on the phone are rude and uneducated. Never going back to that office.

Caring doctor, always finds solutions to my problems, Spends time explaining everything. Conveniently located office.

Excellent physician with a diligent staff. I've used several doctors in the Rego Park area, and this one is the best.
