Best OB in Hampton Roads, hands down!

My pregnant granddaughter visited the doctor today. She requested a note to simply extend her work from home status to assist in the prevention of COVID-19 infection. A new study has just today been published in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly identifying pregnant women as being at increased risk for severe illness. The CDC has also stated pregnant women are at greater risk for severe COVID-19. The doctor flatly refused her request based solely on his lack of knowledge and awareness of the most current information. I feel he is a "barrier to compliance with preventive measures" and I will contact further oversight agencies concerning this decision.

Love dr king. He makes you laugh even when you dont want to.

Dr. King has excellent bed side manner and always answers all of my questions without feeling rushed or disregarded. I always feel at ease discussing my health with him and his staff are really friendly too.

Concerned for my health as anyone would. I was very nervous about coming to another doctor after moving here. Someone referred me to Dr. King and my first appt he was so understanding of my feelings and concerns. He made sure that I knew exactly what was going on with my treatments. The second appt my husband was with me and he finally got to meet my Dr. My husband and I respect Dr. King to the fullest and trust him 100% with my care. Going through the issues that I have, I can honestly say I wouldn't have picked another person to treat me. When a doctor and his staff alone treat you like family, it makes the test results, testing, and other procedures easier to deal with. I would definitely recommend Dr. King to anyone if you would want someone to take every step possible to care for you and your needs. Concerned for my health as anyone would. I had pelvic pain for quite some time. He did 2 laparoscopies on me and found nothing. He gave me anti-inflammatories. When i said i needed more due to severe pain he would not give them and did not offer more help. I got fed up and saw another doc and got another laparoscopy. I was covered in endometriosis. I am still, years later, trying to figure out how to get rid of it all. If he had diagnosed me years ago it would not have gotten this bad. He should have said he couldn't help me and suggest I find a specialist. Instead he said "abdominal pain is hard to diagnose. " Every symptom I had pointed towards endometriosis BECAUSE I HAVE IT. Best doctor in the area....the wait time is expected but great results. He's truly kind, easy to talk to, and gentle.

The absolute best!!! He delievered both of my boys. He makes me feel so comfortable and really listens to my concerns and reassures me. Has a wonderful personality and genuinely cares for his patients.

Today at my OB appointment Dr. King addressed all of my fears, concerns, and expectations with delivering my baby. He treated me like a family member and I couldn't ask for a better experience. Also, he suggested some homeopathic remedies for my Gerd and nausea in addition to offering me prescriptions. It's really nice to have a doctor who presents all the options and gives you the opportunity to choose what's right for you. He truly believes that there's no one size fits all approach to medicine.
