I have been seeing Dr. Mattox for several years for knee pain and he is by far one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have ever met. He is always willing to answer any questions and never has made me feel like he is in a hurry or doesn't have time to explain things to me. When it was time for me to have a knee replacement, he helped to connect me with Dr. John Pritchard who is also one of the most caring and compassionate doctors around. It was my first surgery and I told Dr. Mattox we had to have a doctor who would be understanding about my fears and nervousness and Dr. Pritchard was the best possible choice. ONE is very, very fortunate to have both of these doctors on their staff.

Dr.Mattox listened to me, had a solution,and let me know what to expect. Very positive and caring.

Dr Mattox is one of the finest doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. His warmth and genuine compassion for his patients, along with his sincerity make for a winning combination in offering healthcare to those in need. Sometimes you have to wait awhile when going to a doctor but my apt with Dr. Mattox was on time. Dr. Mattox and staff are very friendly and caring. They get a 5 star from me.

He was very friendly and answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. He gave me a heads up on what to expect down the road and told me when I could return if I needed.

Yes, I would certainly recommend Dr. Mattox to my family and friends. He listened to my concerns, gave me options, then gave me instructions as to how to proceed with my choice at this time, to go with the conservative approach. He made himself available if I decide in the future to change my option.

My experience with Dr. Maddox was extremely positive. I was very nervous and he was able to calm my nerves while giving me plenty of time to talk through my health concerns. There wasn't a time I felt rushed or minimized. 10/10 - would highly recommend!

Received a phone call early in the morning by Dr. Mattox personally telling me that he had a cancellation and that I could come to him whenever I wanted to . He was not only very professional and patient with me but was anxious to solve my problem.

The visit was on time, taking and reviewing the x-rays took a matter of minutes, and Dr. Mattox fully explained the range of care options. This is my second orthopedic condition for which I've gone to Dr. Mattox. If I encounter a third, I'll seek care from him again.

I hide my pain & suffer through it and perhaps this time I let it go too long. I went through physical therapy but it just wasn't the answer so I went to O.N.E. Wasn't looking forward to it only because I'm not a fan of MRI's, and thankfully, only an x-ray was asked of me. Then walks in this fantastic Dr. Great manner, obviously, from the get-go, well versed in his field. My husband and I were very, very pleased with everything! Thank you so much! (ditto to nurses, x-ray tech, ect.)

Dr. Mattox is always straight forward with me. I have CPTSD and he always makes me feel comfortable. That is very important to me

My visit with Dr. Mattox on Tuesday, October 15, went extremely well. He was very cordial and made me feel at ease. Dr. Mattox fully explained my problem with my wrist and his recommended treatment. His expertise was apparent as there was very minor discomfort during the treatment. His nurses were also very nice and the check-in/check-out process was relatively painless. I would highly recommend Dr. Mattox for your orthopedic needs.

Great physician along with an outstanding personality

Dr. Mattox is amazing. Made my daughter feel comfortable and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He took the time with us and now days in health care that is unheard of because they are scheduling so many patients a day. I would recommend this place and Dr. Mattox to everyone I know!

Seen for a pulled Hamstring. Very Professional and knowledgeable. We are very fortunate to have Orthopedics NorthEast in Fort Wayne with their great staff. First visit with Dr. Mattox and will see him again if the need arises.

I was a referral to Dr Mattox, not only did he relieve my worries on a bone cyst. He identified a problem in my right hip area that I had been seeing another doctor for almost a year.

He is very good to explain about my right shoulder and freiendly!

I arrived about 45 minutes ahead of my appointment time, checked in and treating myself to the coffee bar. I was quickly called earlier than my appointment time and was basically all done and checking out just a few minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Everyone from check-in to check-out were very helpful, professional and friendly. Very impressed with my visit.

I’ve been to see Dr. Mattox 3 times in the past year & a half. All three times were wonderful helpful experiences. He first of all took plenty of time to listen to me. Never once hurried me. Dr. Mattox consulted with me and presented me with 3 viable options to treat my shoulder injury, which has been bothering me for 6 months. So glad to know there are nonsurgical interventions possible. I am relieved! He was very clear about my diagnosis and my options, and involved me in the decision I ultimately made. I like Dr. Mattox's manner. Whereas some doctors seem to feel that older patients don't need a lot of information, Dr. Mattox explained in detail what would happen if I didn't follow instructions. I think most people would follow directions if they knew precisely why they needed to. He also told me to call him if I had any questions and I felt this was a sincere offer. In short, I was very impressed.

Just wanted to say that I was completely satisfied with my visit with Dr. Joe Mattox. He was very kind and very thorough in explaining my xrays and in examining me for my shoulder injury. He gave me an immediate treatment which relieved my pain. He is one of those rare doctors who remind you of the past when doctors used to take time with you and who sincerely cared for you and about you.

Visit with Dr. Mattox was exemplary from start to finish. The administrative staff made the registration process easy despite it being an initial visit and could not have been more pleasant. Dr. Mattox is one of the best doctors I have encountered. His bedside manner is personable but professional and he really knows his business. I unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone who needs to see a sports medicine doctor. Side note: he used to be our primary care physician and it was difficult to find anyone we liked as well as we liked Dr. Mattox.
