About Joseph Narloch
Reviews for Joseph Narloch
I have been going to Dr Narloch for years. I have 2 herniated discs in lumbar spine and about every 6-8 months when pain comes back, I go for another injection of a cortisone substance that reduces inflammation to nerves causing pain radiating into pelvis. No surgery for me!! This does the trick. He is very professional and has great support staff.
Dr Narloch is helping my spine condition with a program to manage pain. He has concern in my condition and speaks to me about my treatment. Excellent phycian.
Dr Narloch is an excellent doctor. His office and surgery team are organized, friendly and professional. I highly recommend him.
I've been fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Narloch. He has care of me in a thorough and excellent manner. I'll keep going back to him any time I need help with my back.
I am very grateful to know Dr. Narloch as he has helped me my back pain with an epidural. He is kind and very understanding of my pain.
Dr Joseph Narloch is a true professional he's on point with all of his findings he's the best in business take it from me I refuse to get injections from any one else ! He makes you feel comfortable his Team of staff also 5 star. To add with that he's and extremely nice man .
Dr. Marlo he was extremely professional, displayed incredible knowledge about my condition and was calming and assuring, I left knowing my conditions would be handled expeditiously and professionally.
Dr. Narloch has managed my back pain for the past several years. I have two areas of spinal stenosis in my lower back and epidurals have allowed me to continue to play senior softball and golf. I am an 83 year old male and highly recommend his services
I waited an hour and a half pass my appointment time. No one in the office attempted to communicate as to why Dr. Narloch was so behind. When I finally did get escorted to an exam room, I waited for another 10 minutes for him to come in. He walked in and asked if I had been to physical therapy. I replied that I hadn’t. He bagan leaving the room and as he was talking telling me to go to P/T and if my back still hurts to come back. As he exited the door I asked what the X-rays that were taken showed and he replied Arthritis as his back was all I could see of him. Terrible and very frustrating experience. Definitely would not recommend him or his front desk staff.
Explains my conditions and treatments. Takes time to answer my questions and Provides follow-up as needed The only issue is he is a busy doctor and hard to get an appointment.
My experience with Dr. Narloch is that he was perfunctory, didn't listen and demonstrated no empathy. I went to see him for neck and midback pain. He ordered a cervical MRIL but not Thoracic even though I said several times that I had midback pain. The cervical MRI, which took a month to schedule showed a lesion on the thoracic spine and I waited another month for the thoracic MRI imagining all the worst scenarios. Dr. Narlock was unprepared for the visit and referred me to another Dr. My guess, based on other reviews, there is an age bias in terms of who he treats. So if you are an older patient I would not recommend you see this Dr..

Great ???? nice and clean office. ???? Dr Narloch keep up the good work.
Dr Narloch is excellent at explaining what needs to be done to help relieve my pain and exactly how he will do it. He is extremely skilled in his work. His office staff takes care of all the business in a very professional and prompt manner. I would recommend him for his orthopedic care.
I have seen Dr Narloc on several occasions for various chronic pain issues. I appreciate his easy to understand explanations of how he can help me or why he doesn’t think he can help me for a particular situation. He is always willing to refer me to someone who can help if he can’t. He is pleasant and professional. I would send friends to him. Joyce B
Dr Narloch has been great treating my lower back issues with stenosis. You can tell he really cares and that you just aren’t another patient. I am really happy with his services.
Dr. Narlock takes the time to listen, helping his patients by alleviating pain, helping them reach their physical/life goals. Managing pain is a tricky thing the doctor helps with solutions and achievable goals! With dealing with pain, it can alter who you are in your life. I feel strongly that Dr. Narlock understands that in his committed to helping you alleviate pain.
He is first rate. Very straight forward. Answers qs directly. The clinic staff is professional yet friendly. Setting appointments for shots is good deal more involved than other med appointments. 2 to 3 phone connects and up to 3 weeks especially during holidays. Would highly recommend Dr Narloch.
Dr. Narloch is a very good listener, offering useful advice to manage individual issues and situations. I am grateful for his care.
Dr. Narloch was professional yet, caring at the same time. I trusted him immediately. I am very happy to have found him.
He is very unprofessional him and staff. I’ve waited over a hour and a half just not to be seen. I’ve been waiting for a injection for over 7 months I keep getting denied cause he keeps messing up paperwork and not sending it in on time.
Dr. Narlock is a terrific doctor. He is direct, empathetic and explains well. He has helped relieve my back pain through epidurals and without surgery for a number of years. I intend to keep him as my Orthopedic surgeon as long as we're both around.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Narloch for many years. First to diagnose carpal tunnel, and other neurological issues, then he helped a chronic back issue by cortisone epidurals which have provided tremendous relief. Those treatments substantially delayed major surgery. Dr. Narloch was at all times professional, caring and always approachable. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. He’s the best.
I love Dr Narloch! He takes time to explain what’s he’s doing. He has helped me manage my pain without surgery.
Dr. Narloch is a Physician who is knowledgeable, energetic, competent, and acquires a personal demeanor. I highly recommend him to treat your orthopedic diagnosis. Sincerely, Barbara Claus
I have been trying for weeks to get his office to confirm getting shots in my back. They do not respond
Terrible doctor. I cried on the drive home following my appointment. I was in a lot of pain for more than a month. The earliest appointment was over a month away. When the Dr. came in, he couldn't be bothered with me. He said the x-rays indicated I have "a bit" arthritis in my neck. He didn't listen to what I had to say. I tried to tell him about the various symptoms I have been experiencing and was cut off. I thought perhaps they could be related to my neck and shoulder pain. I have visited many specialists over the last six months by process of elimination to unravel what is going on with me, i.e., loss of hearing on the same side as the neck pain, clumsiness, shoulder and neck fatigue, trouble swallowing, slow digestion of food, worsening sleep apnea, choking while drinking water, dizziness when I look up, and more. He said he was going to subscribe physical therapy, which is very reasonable course of action but when I realized who he was, I think I will move on and not be treated by Narloch. He reminded me I had seen him several years prior for lower back pain which I had forgotten he was "that doctor". Stupid me, if I had remembered he was "that guy" I would never had gone to him again. After several shots in my spine he didn't help my lower back pain and sciatica and I have learned to live with it. I don't want to spend several more years in pain only to discover he can't or doesn't want to help me with my neck pain either. I am retired now, so I have time and energy to spend to find a really good orthopedist. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. I am certainly not going back. I have received recommendations two other highly rated and respected doctors. Run from this guy. Terrible doctor. I cried on the drive home following my appointment. Staff was very nice and friendly fun yet professional. Everyone I had contact with there treated me with respect and kindness
It was my first time visit with Dr. Narloch. I felt his care and concern especially when he was about to step out from the clinic and he said, "You take care of yourself ok". I felt his concern and sincerity. Mary Anne Riehl
Treated my severe neck pain successfully. He gives you an unhurried initial visit, listens carefully & understands your issues & concerns & maps out a treatment plan. Also did a painless Nerve Conduction Study for my Carpal Tunnel issues. Painless is the key word. Thank you!

I have been seeing Dr Narloch for 10 years for my lower back and neck pain. I can count on him for straight answers about questions.
Dr. Narloch is the best orthopedic physician/surgeon in the country. He is understanding, efficient and demonstrates immense compassion, especially when you are in pain. He delivers cutting edge service and procedures and has a level of expertise that is unmatched in the field. His PA, Brandy is also the best in the field. She has helped me in so many different ways in the past several years, it is hard to express enough gratitude. You will never look back if you are fortunate enough to see Dr. Narloch and Team. This doctor did nothing for my husband. My husband has suffered a back injury and has gone to every specialist that his PCP has sent him to. He’s going to physical therapy, he has gotten epidurals with not much improvement at all. He was sent to this “pain management “ doctor who did nothing but tell him “I’m not sure what you want me to do for you”. Hello! He’s in pain! He was sent to a pain management doctor! And all he did was give him a piece of paper with other pain management doctors names. No bedside manner. Will never see him again or recommend. If we could leave no stars, we would. I came to Muir orthopedics and specifically Dr. Narloch to explore my lumbar back pain. They took x rays at the start of the appointment. Then the Dr came in to review and give me his opinion. He showed me where my disc was protruding between L4 and L5. He told he to take 600 mg of ibuprofen for the pain I was experiencing and basically ushered me out of his room. I’d say we met for all of 10 minutes. Frustrated with his service, I decided to see someone else. So, I filled out a form and paid $35 for a CD of the x rays and the doctors notes. This took about 3 weeks to receive. (Annoying). On the notes, Dr Narloch says to continue with the pilates and swimming and to get an MRI of the pain persists. So I request a referral for an MRI and then he gets annoyed on the phone with me (several calls with his assistant, she finally let me talk directly to him) and he hung up on me. Even though he said I should get an MRI! Weeks later still no word on whether he referred me for the MRI. Bottom line- he’s lazy, he acted superior to women and did absolutely nothing to clue me in on my back issue nor give a real solution to the pain. I've been very happy with Dr. Narloch dealing with chronic back pain. I received shots in my lower spine which helped somewhat. MRI reveals stenosis which may need surgery.
I trust this doctor and his knowledge of backs more then the doctors that preformed 3 of them on me. The last one I had was a major operation. He explained what and how it had to be done and gave me a doctor to see. I was scared and decided to see a doctor that did my first operation and he said that he could do another spinal stenosis which was was less evasive. Iwent that way. Big mistake. It didn’t work. Should have seen the doctor he recommended to me. found another doctor but not happy.
