Dr. Pav is an exceptional ped opthalmologist and has been wonderful each and every visit...I take my adult son there and recommended my daughter take my grand-daughter to Dr. Pav as well - she loves him too! Great practice and staff are always kind and attentive - would HIGHLY recommend this practice******

I have been a patient for over 15 years and had the best eye doctor possible, Dr. Paviglianti. But, today I had the worse experience with the front desk lady. I do not know her name but she had glasses on and is definetly not a nurse because nurses would treat me better. She was THE RUDEST person I EVER spoke with at THIS doctor's office. First, this was all after I waited in the waiting area for OVER 2 HOURS after my appoinment time had passed and did not even say a single word or compalined. Was I frustrated? Yes, but did not want to be rude. Here is what happened: At the end of my visit I always stop by the front desk to make sure I get my new eye prescription. However, this lady pauses me before I leave and says that I owe a copay? I had told her that I have been a patient for over 15 YEARS and all of a sudden I have a copay FOR MY ANNUAL VISIT, with an eplanation that does not even make any sense. At least give me a proper explaination if you want me to pay. Then, when I asked to see Dr. Paviglianiti because he would know what is correct, she told me I have to wait until 4pm to speak with him? Did not even care that I waited LITERALLY 2 HOURS just for my appoinment and would not allow me to ask him a question that would take less then 2 minutes? That just pisses me off. At this point, I honestly did not care about paying, but do not be rude about it. Don't work at a job where you interact with people, if you have terrible communications skills. DO NOT talk or nod your head back and forth while taking to a patient when clearly you cannot even tell me the ACTUAL explaination. She did not even try to understand what I was trying to say. Instead, she said I have a "medical condition", even when my conditions have been the same over the many years. Honestly, if I could give this a zero I would love to, today's experience is not what anyone should go through. It is people like her that do not want me coming here any longer. Was referred to Dr Pav and he is amazing. Staff was super nice and welcoming. He Explained everything to us and made sure he answered all of our questions. Highly recommend. Will for sure be bringing my daughter to him for her yearly checks.

Don't go here for eye exams, deceptive billing practices. EDIT: Follow up, in response to the comments from the Owner below, we left four voicemails over the past two months for billing, Dr. Paviglianti, and their office manager with no returned calls, we paid our bill and are filing a complaint with the health department as recommended by our insurance provider (a BIG one). Our insurance company said if it was a preventative visit, or annual checkup (which it was) it should have been submitted as such and would have been covered under our medical insurance for a child. Because the office refused to change the label of the bill from "Office Visit Detailed/New" to annual checkup or preventative checkup, we had to pay the entire bill. They had every opportunity to work with us and we would have deleted this review. I'm sure they're great doctors and appear to do wonderful things for children with serious problems. They just have deceptive billing, which I've read many other reviews saying the same thing. Insurance company said this isn't the first time they've had trouble with this office... They didn't accept our vision insurance and never told us until after they sent a bill for $250 and we called to complain. Their excuse is they're medical doctors - but they never told my wife. Had she known that, she would have gone elsewhere - but we weren't even given that option. To top it off, she said the exam was a joke, less than 10 minutes, a fraction of a typical eye exam. When I spoke with them, they said we would never tell anyone vision insurance would cover an eye exam (imagine that!), and that my wife must have misunderstood. My wife said that if she'd known we didn't have vision coverage there, she would have walked out the door before the exam. Don't go here for eye exams, deceptive billing practices. I can’t thank the doctors & staff enough for being so understanding during my toddler’s epic meltdown during his appointment. I never once felt like they were in anyway judging me for not being able to calm my 2 year old down right away. They sang songs with us, let him touch the equipment & play with toys. It helped put him at ease & me as well. Highly recommend Dr. Hughes and her team. I can’t thank the doctors & staff enough for being so understanding during my toddler’s epic meltdown during his appointment. Dr. Pav and his staff are outstanding! I would not trust my children’s eye care to anyone else. He is friendly, efficient, and stays on schedule. I am so grateful our pediatrician recommended this office!

Dr. Pav has been my son eye specialist for many years. He is exceptional. He spends time his patients. My son has numerous vision issues and he has always been there for us.

Dr. Paviglianiti is simply amazing! He’s so good with my 4 year old son (who is very backwards and shy with doctors) and explains things in a way that is very easy to understand. He really cares about his patients and it shows in his work. I would definitely recommend him!

I felt very comfortable with how they treated my 4 year old son. He can be hyper and crazy and everyone here was so sweet and patient with him and made us feel like we mattered and weren't just a number. It's hard to find any Doctor that gives the kind of care and attention you feel you need especially when it comes to your kids and I am so glad we decided to go here. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I assumed since they were pediatric they would be able to work well with kids. My daughter was TERRIFIED and they forced her to have her eyes dilated. They were very rude and short and impatient with this terrified little girl. When we were done, we were given my daughter’s prescription and they pretty much dismissed us. We were hoping to look at glasses and sat there unacknowledged for a good 10 minutes before finally leaving. It was a horrible experience and EXPENSIVE!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. Dr. Pav is a peach! He is professional, knowledgeable, and so friendly. I have recommended him more times than I can count. To him, kids are kids, and he is excellent with both traditional and special needs children. He keeps his equipment updated, and he and his staff are well trained. My son listens to Dr. Pav, and does everything in his power, to follow Dr. Pav’s directions. My son has autism. That is a true sign of a good doctor, when an autistic child will direct their respect and undivided attention to a doctor during an exam. Do I recommend Dr. Pav? DEFINITELY! PS. Staffs are amazing and friendly.. couldn’t ask for a better pediatric ophthalmology..Dr pav is amazing he had a lot of patience for my 2 year old, also the technician that seen us before Dr pav was amazing.. definitely recommend this ophthalmology office..

The Murrysville office is phenomenal. I mean from the moment you walk in, to the moment you get to see Dr Pav, to check out and then to picking the frames. It is always a pleasurable experience. I recommend all family and friends to come to this office. We are truly treated with the upmost respect, all questions are answered, any concerns are answered, And my child does not feel afraid, they are very comfortable, very kid friendly, and I am grateful that we have found this office. Dr. Pav was super friendly and very good with my 5 month old. So was the technician that saw us before Dr. Pav came in. It’s hard enough to have a doctors appt with a 5 month old, let alone during a pandemic, where she can’t see anyone’s mouths since they are wearing masks but they were all very nice and comforting to her.

Dr. Hughes and her staff were wonderful, very pleasant, knowledgeable, and quick with my daughter that has an extensive history! I have filled out three submission forms for an appointment for my daughter. I also called on two (2) separate business days to get an appointment, each time being on hold for greater than 12 minutes waiting for someone to answer so that I may schedule an appointment. I gave up holding, as I was “next in line” for my call to be answered the entire time. The only reason I tried to get an appointment is because I was referred here by my daughters physician, and I intend on contacting him to alert him to how requests for appointments are handled. If this is how patients are treated before they even become patients, no thank you. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere. Very poor service. I have been seeing Dr p since my original eye Dr Dr. Biglanf retired in the 00s. He is very throrough friendly compassionate towards his patients. I have a rare disease in my eye (retinadusretina /(basically no muscles attached to the retina in left eye since birth 3 months prem I am 37 now). I'd reccomend him to anyone! (I used to see him cranberry but see him in the murrysville office). Again he likes to spend time with his patients and genuinely cares. Honestly you can't really say that about alot of today's drama. Just wants to get you in out and money . Dr p is one of those again compassionate Drs. Dr. Pav is a wonderful doctor. He is great with the kids and takes the time to explain to the parents what all is going on and what all is going to be done. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Took my 11 year old son here for a specialized visit after his eye dr recommended him. They treated him with respect and not like a baby. Staff seemed very nice and caring

The staff at the Murrysville location are very friendly/courteous. Dr. Pavigliantiti is informative and genuinely concerned about your child's eye health. I called in a concern after hours and was not sure if the concern constituted an emergency; however, after spending a considerable amount of time w/ me he offered for me to bring my child to the office (Sat.) for a proper evaluation. This Dr. is great w/ kids/explanations that parent/child can understand. Glad pediatric doc recommend him.

If I could give a lower review I would. After getting an MRI for my daughter it has been a week and we are still unable to get anyone from the office to help us get in touch with the Dr. No one ever calls back and he never seems to be in the office or available.

Dr. Pav has changed my life. I have had a severe lazy eye since birth and no one ever knew exactly how to correct it. Everything short of surgery was attempted in my childhood, but surgery was considered too risky and unnecessary. Insurance companies I had spoken to in my adulthood had referred to my condition as a 'cosmetic issue' despite eye strain, social difficulties (I speak to large groups as part of my job), migraines, self image, and difficulty driving and reading for extended periods. Dr. Pav immediately voiced his concern for the extreme nature of my condition and knew he could help me. I cannot thank him enough for taking me seriously and working to make sure I was taken care of. There were issues with his surgical coordination and most of that was due to him being out of network for my carrier, but I would go through all that a thousand times to get to where I am right now (and I am only 3 days post-op!). To anyone who has lived with a lazy eye, you know that cosmetic is the least of the issues that come with such an obvious condition. Dr. Pav is one of the only medical professionals that actually listened to and respected my perspective as a patient.

We had been to another ped op in the area and were disappointed with that dr.'s bedside manner, as well as their policies. Our insurance gave us the name of a couple we could choose from and this practice was on the list. We went to them for a 2nd opinion and were very pleasantly surprised! We went to their new office in Cranberry and we were called back as soon as I handed over the paperwork. Dr. Pav came right in and started talking with our son (the patient) about what was going on, and included me in the conversation as necessary. He was very personable and put me at ease with regards to our son's condition. Surgery was not the first word out of his mouth after the exam (as the other dr. had done without batting an eye, of course 'needing' to see him again in 2 months). Everything he said made sense. I am actually looking forward to going back next year for our son's annual appointment. He definitely made it worth the 1 hour drive to his office.

Dr. Pav is great but the office staff isn't really all that friendly and the wait is horrible. Everytime we go it is worse. Last time it was almost an hour and a half wait till we saw him examine our child. But he is spot on with his DX and very friendly. The kids love him.

my child has seen many different specialists over the years as we manage his diagnosis. NO ONE cares or takes the time like Dr. Pav.
