Dr. Joseph C Perkinson III

BEST doctor hands down. He goes above and beyond for his patients. Extremely intelligent and detailed; he sends a breakdown of everything you should do going forward for ultimate hands down best care for his patients.

Dr. Perkinson is simply the best doctor in the general Houston area, and probably the continental United States. If you're looking for an attractive, knowledgable, thoughtful, easy on the eyes, sensuous, aesthetically appealing, charismatic, and truly alluring medical professional you should look no further. If I could give him ten stars I absolutely would.

Have given many opportunities and He fails each time. Takes weeks and many reminders to get refills approved. He copies and pastes info from the internet into emails rather than actually explaining what you the actual patient specifically needs. Many times office is closed, phones unanswered, and no call backs. Save yourself time and go elsewhere.

Great Doctor that actually cares about his patients. He has been my PCP for over three years, and I could not be more impressed!

I don't know how many years I have been seeing Dr. Perkinson, but I do remember my first impression of him. He walked in and greeted me as if I were an old friend. Dr. Perkinson has an excellent bedside manner! He listens to you and carries on a conversation showing true concern and attention to your thoughts and feelings. In short, he cares. I really appreciate his explanation of my condition, the causes and remedies, and put complete trust in his care. Dr. Perkinson is a rarity in today's world. At first I was impressed with his time and attention to me. However when talking about medications and my flu like symptoms he got angry. He just walked out the door. I never really got a diagnosis or treatment plan. I just went to the pharmacy and picked up meds. Really strange. I won’t be going back. Made me feel uncomfortable.

Hands down the best / easiest Doctor I have ever been too. I am the one that doesn't go to a doctor until I cannot function. I feel so comfortable talking to Doctor P. Discussing scars and surgeries just isnt that big of a deal any longer.

From the start - a unique office atmosphere. Crisp clean yet cozy; more like an acting museum of family medicine practice. Almost no paperwork!! What a relief. Dr. Perkinson's approach is unique, I have never seen a doctor like him before. He starts with learning about your life and, from there, looks at your health. Atypically well-read and culture-aware, very knowledgeable; he surprised me with options he was looking at with regard to potential diagnosis; I doubt many doctors even know those possibilities. He is thinking outside of the box, but his suggestions make a lot of sense. He is also minimalist in prescriptions if that is what you are looking for, but he will sure tell you his opinion if he thinks you need to start taking medications. Tells you what medications are on the market, what to expect when taking them, how effective they are, and even how much they cost. You won't find a more personable doctor! The old school approach of spending time with the patient is remarkable. Vast knowledge in many areas. You don't see a PA or NA, you actually see the doctor!

Great visit!! Easy going and friendly. He Makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. He treats you like brother and cares about your conditions. Definitely recommend to others.

Dr. Perkinson takes the time to listen to your concerns and takes a pragmatic approach to care. He will make time to explain everything to you and ensure you understand your treatment options. I’d highly recommend Dr. Perkinson!

Great doctor! Cool guy! Truly cares about his patients and makes himself available whenever needed.

Very empathetic and caring, spent time, provided personal attention. Also diagnosed my son’s appendicitis which ended up requiring Appendectomy.

Dr. Perkinson is the FIRST doctor (in 70+ years of life) that actually takes the time to "interview" his patients and understand their life's +/- 's ..... THEN he conducts an appropriate physical exam ,,,, based on combined knowledge of life situation AND physical symptoms, he offers OPTIONS for assistance with the health problem. Been looking for a good doctor since 2014 when we moved to the woodlands. Search is over, great guy, great doctor, easy to talk to, very relatable. My wife will also be joining me in seeing Dr. Perkinson.

Dr. Perkinson is the most personable and well bed side mannered doctor I have ever met! Every time I go in feeling anxious and leave feeling happy and listened to. He addresses every concern and takes his time with you. I have found my forever doctor for sure! Highly recommended

Awesome person, let alone great doctor. From the moment he entered the room, it was if an old friend walked in. Very professional and very personable individual. Takes the time to have a two way discussion with the patient.

Dr. Perkinson is wonderful. I have seen him 3 times in the last 6 months and have always been completely satisfied. He leans toward the side of caution, which I really appreciate.

I didn't even see him. He called me before my appointment and because he looked at history and saw I was on controlled medication he wouldn't prescribe any. I did move here a few months ago. Although I have medical problems that cause me to be on them. He basically called me a drug seeker. I hung up and cancelled my appointment. No one should be discriminated against because of the medication they take. Thanks for making me feel even worse. He obviously cares nothing about patients. Let's not bother to listen and find a solution before judging someone. I didn't even see him. A great doctor who was truly interested in my medical problems and had insights, solutions, and explanations which were excellent.

Great Physician....very attentive and thoroughly reviewed (in person) my medical history. Loved his bedside manner and "old school" approach to patient care!!!!

Family physician , who takes time to listen to each of his patients. Dr. Perkinson is proactive by providing individualized advice on overall health to protect, promote, and maintain health and well-being and to prevent disease, disability, and death.

Best Doctor I've ever had in my more then 30 years in The Woodlands. Anyone not rating him highly definitely is their own problem since he takes care of ALL my Family and many friends, non of which would trade him for anyone else. Very professional and takes more time then anybody I've eve. Seen.

Dr. Perkinson is a very compassionate & caring doctor. Great bedside manner too! He listens & I mean he really listens. I've only seen him twice & he will really help find a plan that works for you. He really explains everything in a way that you can understand. The staff is excellent & very polite. Hardly any wait time at all! He is what all Dr.s should be like. I've even called on the weekends when it probably could have waited & he still was polite & understanding. You'll love him! Leslie S

Best doctor ever. It was a pleasure to visit with Dr. Perkinson, and have him actually take the time to listen and converse. I am accustomed to doctors spending little or no time with me. I left with the feeling that I had finally found a caring doctor.

Dr. P is just terrific. He spent a lot of time with me getting my history and addressed my needs quickly. He is very warm, easy to talk to, polite, very hospitable, has great people skills, and talks to you like you are a person - not a number, and makes you feel comfortable. You can tell he loves what he does and truly wants to help make you as healthy as possible. You can reach him any time via cell or email and I really like that. And he also makes house calls!

Dr. Perkinson is excellent. He listens, asks questions and spends time understanding why you are there and then discusses possible treatment plans. I feel heard and when I have questions I generally leave feeling like they have been answered. The one time I had a question after a visit, I emailed him and he responded in a timely and manner and answered my question.

It was a step back in time because the Dr. actually sat and listened to me. He asked questions and wrote down notes. Very attentive and thoughtful...sharing his thoughts as he decided what the course of action should be for my illness. The whole experience was almost unbelievable in this day and time when everything is rushed and hurried, that Dr. Perkinson made me feel like I was the only patient he had to see today.

I had my first visit with Dr. Perkinson yesterday. It was wonderful. I can't say enough about his professionalism and medical skills. His staff was terrific, and he made me feel very comfortable. I have been in the healthcare field for over 30 years, and he wowed me. That is not a common occurrence!
