Very nice person Experienced and professional

I went to Joe West a couple of years ago. Had a few talk sessions. The impression that I got from West is that he lacks the training to help anyone. His practice is based on gimmicks. If he still has his website up you can see some of the "alternative" approaches he uses. They simply don't work. He's not a good listener either. The man lacks emotional intelligence and is incapable of empathizing with another person's plight. I would tell him about my issues and hardships and it was like he wasn't paying attention and when he was the feedback from him was bewildering. The trouble with psychotherapists who accept in-network clients is that they are often the bottom of the barrel. The reimbursement rates are low and the more capable and competent therapists will not work within those confines. When I saw Joe he was more interested in ensuring that I pay my copay in cash because he was fixated on avoiding credit card transaction fees. An appt with Joe is an hour of wasted time.

Joe is by far the most helpful person to speak to when you have personal things you want to work through. He literally changed my life about thinking I needed someone in it to he happy. Put it this way, 15 years later I am concerned about my daughter and looked him up again. We live in wpb but I will drive. There is no therapist in wpb with good ratings, that is insane for a fairly big city

Dr West worked with my son who was adopted. He was neglected, abused and had mental health struggles. Dr West helped our family tremendously. I highly recommend Dr West.

He’s extremely easy to talk to and I like his approach to therapy.
