Dr. Judith I Arluk

My one and only visit with Dr. Arluck occurred sometime during the 1990’s. I was referred to her by my EENT physician whom I later discovered was a relative. My problem was a quarter sized beet red “rash” on my chin that I had for at least 3 months. It would not go away. She asked me about the issue I was seeing her for upon entering the exam room and introducing herself. She then said she wanted to assess my skin. She performed her exam checking my scalp, face and back. Once finished she informed me she wanted to surgically remove a birth mark by my right cheek in addition to wanting to remove fluid from a “bump” in the middle of my back. That “bump” was a childhood chicken pox scar that had nothing to do with my visit. My problem was not addressed at all once the assessment was complete. Her blatant response to my question about what the treatment plan for the rash was; “OH, THAT IS NOTHING. I’LL GIVE YOU SOME MEDICATED CREAM FOR IT”. She quickly left the room before my questions and concerns were known. I was furious over her unprofessional conduct with me. I felt she saw me as a way to make more money off of me while totally ignoring the matter I came to see her for. I went to another Dermatologist who told me what the rare condition was, the causes and treatment. He even pulled a book off the shelf for me to review. I work in Healthcare. I sadly would not recommend Dr. Judith Arluk to anyone who values their time. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30. I was not taken into an exam room until 4 and not seen until 4:30 (2 hours after my scheduled appointment). I left work early for this appointment, but could have stayed at work longer, had I known they were running so far behind. After reading reviews of this doctor online, I now see this is not an uncommon occurrence for the practice. Dr Arluk was very thorough in her exam. She

This woman knows her stuff. Personable and wicked smart.

I usually do end up waiting but she is good with a great bedside manner.

Dr. Arluk was very sweet. She treated me for hyperhidrosis and biopsy on moles, however, multiple appointments were required for the different biopsies. The office is relatively outdated, but it serves its purpose. One thing that I did not like was when I had an appointment for 9:15 (second patient of day) and Dr. Arluk did not arrive until 9:30, so I was not seen until 10:15. However I understand that patience is required when she is the only doctor there. Overall I trust her and recommend.
