My experience with Dr Larson and all of the staff and nurses were all so kind and always made me feel safe and comfortable. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and the results are amazing. Everything went perfectly. I cannot say enough good things and I highly recommend Dr Larson.

It was with trepidation that I decided to explore cataract surgery at the recommendation of my optometrist. At the evaluation visit Dr. Larson thoroughly explained the procedure and the different types of lenses available. The video further explained the procedure and relieved most of my anxiety. The surgery itself, performed by Dr. Larson, went smoothly with great results, and I'm looking forward to having the other eye done as well.

I was apprehensive about the surgery but Dr. Larson was very calming and made me feel very relaxed.

This experience was above and beyond my expectations! I’ve already recommended this to several employees I work with who are going to be scheduling an appointment for a consultation. Dr. Larson was amazing she walks you through every step and makes you feel comfortable with the procedure. She actually takes the time to sit down with you and gives you an opportunity to ask any questions or concerns you have and not have it be so assistant. With that said the assistants she has in her office are wonderful. I had an appointment for Lasik and got PKR. I did not know there was two different options, and I have thin corneas. Julie was very thorough with her measurements, consulted with the other doctor, but ultimately it was my decision. I am a WEMT, so I appreciated all the talking through the exam and procedure. They were the type of place that triple checks everything, which was great. I highly recommend Juli Larson, due to her 20 years of experience and her professional manner of treating every patient equally; she probably has explained the procedure one millions times, but she still explained it to me. My only feedback is about logistics: The entire place was very professional. Since I could not drive home, I had to have someone else drive (which was fine). However, they were not allowed to wait in the waiting room; wish they had told me this ahead of time. I had asked a friend for a huge favor to drive me 1 hr to Burlington, wait, and drive me home and they have no where to wait except in their parking lot ahead of time. Incredible experience. The staff were all very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I wasn't nervous or anxious on surgery day as I was well prepared by the staff on process, procedure, expectation and outcomes. I've wanted LASIK for years, but as glaucoma runs deep in my family, I was deeply discouraged from y childhood eye doctor and my dad from looking into it. As I also didn't want to put my hands into some factory-farm type surgeon revolving door inexpensive LASIK clinic where my eyes, the most precious thing I own, would be at the mercy of the doctor, who may or may not truly care about my situation. So I kept putting it off, envious of everyone who wakes up able to see without searching for their glasses. I chose Dr. Juli Larson, who has done over 15,000 LASIK surgeries, several of my local friends had also had theirs done through her. I would have to wear my glasses for at least 14 days prior to consult (which to me, is a fate worse than death), but I did it diligently. I arrived on Thursday for my consult and tests, knowing that if I was a candidate, I could have surgery the next morning. I was a little nervous and hoping I would not be told I was not a candidate, but knew she only turns away candidates that truly cannot get it, so I felt I was In good hands. Two hours of extensive testing on my vision, optic nerve analysis, glaucoma check, I finally met with Dr. Larson. I found her to be very kind and warm, taking a lot of time to answer my questions and concerns. She admitted I was at the border of eligibility, but she felt she could help me, with the latest technology, the Bladeless iDesign Wavefront Guided LASIK. This technology does a fingerprint type calculation of your eye to do the most personally tailored custom LASIK. She made sure I understood all the potential complications, too. I said that I understood and that I still wanted to move forward. Dr Larson knew I'd had an SLT (to reduce eye pressures) five years before, so with my permission, she reached out to that surgeon to make sure she had that information as well and would call me once she had read through the scans, his notes, and those of my current ophthalmologist. I met with the young woman who would explain pre-op procedures and 0%, 24-month financing options through one of two lenders, in the event I needed that. I went home feeling excited. Dr Larson called me later that afternoon to let me know everything looked good and I had no changes since the SLT. She made sure that up until the morning of the surgery, I could change my mind and opt out. I found this very reassuring and added a layer of trust to my interactions with her and her expertise. The next morning, I arrived a little anxious but mostly excited. I met with her again and she explained the procedure. Within minutes, I was in the OR and she was so helpful and encouraging the entire time. 10 minutes later, I could already see better than I'd had in over 30 years. I went home and rested as required, plus did the drops as required. By mid-evening I could pretty much see everything, was texting and watching tv. It does feel while healing like you have a little speck of sand in your eye, but the drops help. This morning, she checked my corneal flap, which is healing nicely and also my vision-it's 20/20. There's a to-be-expected slight haze that will in time go away, but I was able to drive myself to the appointment and although my right eye itches a little bit, I feel great and worth every penny. I highly recommend her and am so grateful to her expertise. As doctors and surgeons go, she is kind, patient and very thorough. Her bedside manner is impeccable. The facility itself is state-of-the-art and they are following COVID-19 guidelines. As part of my extended plan, I'll see her in 7 days, in 4 weeks, in three months, in six months, in nine months and at the 12-month mark. I am confident that we will continue to see improvement and I know that if any complications were to occur, I am in the right hands. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Larson and my LIFE CHANGING Lasik surgery. The day of the surgery I became very anxious and called Dr. Larson's office. Dr. Larson took my call and literally talked me off my cliff and assured me that if I wasn't comfortable I could cancel at any point up to going into the surgery room! From the initial appointment to the cataract surgery on my right eye this office functioned like a team. Everyone I had contact with in the office was kind, courteous and professional. The surgical team, from the person who greeted me at the door to the post op and pre op personnel were outstanding. Sometimes staff does not realize what patients hear. This staff said please and thank you to each other and were willing to help each other out. They treated me and each other with kindness, compassion, courtesy and respect. What more needs to be said ... Dr Juli Larson and her talented staff are the best in providing quality eye care. Having worn glasses since the third grade, was resigned to the fact that I was never going to have good eyesight. I recently found out that my cataracts were operable and I was referred to Vermont Eye Laser for surgery. The entire staff was caring, compassionate and communicative. I got LASIK surgery this past week and I have only good things to say about her and my whole surgery experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Larson to anyone. She was spot on with her recommendation of the Symphony multi-focal lens. I haven't seen this well in a very long time. My optometrist suggested choosing the standard one focal point lens, but I am so very glad that based on her recommendation I chose the more modern multi-focal version. If you want to stop or minimize using glasses/contacts, I recommend that you seriously consider this option. You won't be disappointed.

I began wearing glasses when I was 40. I started with readers, then eventually both my distance and close-up needed help, a lot of help. So progressives were pretty much my only choice. Progressive glasses were not only very expensive, but my glasses in general were a nuisance when hiking, going the beach, or pretty much during any physical activity. Dr. Juli Larson is one of the best-communicating doctors I've ever encountered --she really listens, and was totally willing to discuss the pros and cons of different options available (in my case, which type and strength of lens to implant during cataract surgery). We ended up choosing an extended-depth-of-focus toric lens, with one eye targeted just a little near-sighted for better near vision, and the results are fantastic. I can read at a comfortable distance without readers, and the two eyes together see beautifully thru intermediate and distant ranges! I am free of glasses (well, except for the tiniest print on a pill bottle!) for the first time since I was 6 years old. The entire practice is professional but warm, and her associated Vermont Eye Surgery Center friendly and efficient --it was much easier to get in and out than it was with eye surgeries I experienced at the local hospital. 14 years ago I had Lasik surgery performed by Dr. Larson. Because it was such a good experience I decided to schedule cataract surgery with Dr Larson. For my pre-surgery appointment I was given a packet of information that was so thoughtfully put together with clear instructions, tasks, checklists and dates to help organize me. I found it very helpful and it also reduced what could have been a stressful event. Surgery on my right eye was done on Tuesday. The surgical team was super fast, friendly, and efficient, explaining each step. I felt no pain during or after the surgery and the difference in my vision is incredible. Dr. Larson did a great job of correcting my vision. The LASIK surgery was quick and painless—the operation felt like a pretty cool, 20-minute light show. In my opinion, I believe Dr. Larson is probably one of the best eye surgeons in the country, if not the best. She is friendly and answered my questions. Dr. Larson used sound judgment in my eye correction (I have old eyes) and is, undoubtedly, one of the top experts in her field. My vision, now, is as perfect as it can be (I had terrible eyesight in both eyes). I highly recommend Dr. Larson for LASIK surgery. Also, I thought the staff was very professional, friendly, and courteous, and the waiting time was almost nonexistent. The entire start-to-finish time for everything, including the surgery, was only a couple of hours. The following day, I could see so well that I was driving my car without glasses or contact lenses. I'm glad I did this—no regrets.

From the get-go, Dr. Larson listens to you, answers your questions, discusses and offers appropriate solutions. She is a gentle professional, dedicated to helping us enjoy the best possible vision. Dr. Juli's assistants are caring and patient-oriented. Her team members are fully qualified, efficient and prepared to assist as needed. The office staff greets all with a smile, prepared to answer any questions during check-in. Dr. Larson has now removed cataracts from all of our eyes and once again, we both have excellent vision. Dr. Juli Larson and her team are exceptional! I felt in good hands from my very first interaction . I was listened to and all of my questions regarding LASIK were answered timely and without judgement. The entire process from initial consult to my first follow up appointment has been so smooth. I've never experienced such holistic care from a provider. I am glasses free for the first time in almost 30 years! The entire practice is professional, warm and incredibly efficient.

Dr. Juli Larson is one of the best-communicating doctors I've ever encountered --she really listens, and was totally willing to discuss the pros and cons of different options available (in my case, which type and strength of lens to implant during cataract surgery). We ended up choosing an extended-depth-of-focus toric lens, with one eye targeted just a little near-sighted for better near vision, and the results are fantastic. I can read at a comfortable distance without readers, and the two eyes together see beautifully thru intermediate and distant ranges! I am free of glasses (well, except for the tiniest print on a pill bottle!) for the first time since I was 6 years old. The entire practice is professional but warm, and her associated Vermont Eye Surgery Center friendly and efficient --it was much easier to get in and out than it was with eye surgeries I experienced at the local hospital. During surgery, although sedated, I could hear Dr. Larson giving encouraging updates!

14 years ago I had Lasik surgery performed by Dr. Larson. Because it was such a good experience I decided to schedule cataract surgery with Dr Larson. For my pre-surgery appointment I was given a packet of information that was so thoughtfully put together with clear instructions, tasks, checklists and dates to help organize me. I found it very helpful and it also reduced what could have been a stressful event. Surgery on my right eye was done on Tuesday. The surgical team was super fast, friendly, and efficient, explaining each step. I felt no pain during or after the surgery and the difference in my vision is incredible. I'm actually looking forward to surgery on my left eye next week! I would totally recommend Dr Larson and her staff.

Dr. Larson did a superb job replacing the lens in my right eye. Her diagnosis and recommendation to correct my vision was right on. The careful attention given to detail in all the examinations leading up to surgery really paid off. And the care during surgery by Dr. Juli and her staff was absolutely the best. I highly recommend Dr. Larson for any vision needs one might have!

10 years out after having laser surgery with Dr Larson, I am doing great! No scarring or night vision abnormalities. I have moved back to Michigan and have had several Drs comment on the amazing job Dr Larson did!! They cant tell I had surgery unless I tell them.

My experience at NE Vision and VT Eye Laser, for cataract surgery in both eyes, was extremely positive. From my evaluation, through surgery and during my post-op appointments Dr. Larson and her staff were very professional and caring. Dr. Larson was so kind, answered all my questions and got me in for surgery so quickly. Even though I had low anxiety- she would be the perfect person for someone who feels a little anxious because she was so gentle and kind.

I couldn’t see out of my right eye! Not even count my fingers. Now I can see perfect out of right eye. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs caterac surgery.

UNREAL! From the people to the end result. I’ve wanted my eye’s corrected for so long, but was beyond scared to do so until taking that first step, Juli, Hannah and the entire staff made this experience easy as pie. Where do I begin? I guess I'll start by saying how happy I am with the results of my LASIK and how great it is to not wear contacts any more. It is terrific! I am so happy with the entire experience it's hard to put into words. Juli and her entire staff were excellent. There are a series of visits you'll go through in preparation for the surgery. For all of my visits I was seen at the time that was scheduled. Imagine that, an office that actually see's you at the time of your appointment and doesn't have you sitting there waiting for 10, 15, 20 minutes. I was in and out, just like it should be everywhere. I appreciate that. Any way, while LASIK can be expensive I would do it all over again knowing how great the experience and the results are. I had LASIK (blade-free) done a little over a year back and I couldn't be happier with the results. I ended up with 20/15 vision and no side effects whatsoever. The entire process was incredibly easy from start to finish. The entire staff do an excellent job at explaining the entire process before and during the operation. They took numerous preliminary tests to ensure the measurements were spot on, and the operation itself probably took less than 10 minutes. The recovery time is quite negligible so long as you follow the prescribed eye drop procedure. The value for this investment is absolutely worth it in my opinion. I'm an avid skier and hiker, and the difference in trail navigation is night and day. You'll often find yourself stopping more than often to witness the incredible details that are now crystal clear around you. Worrying about bringing glasses to a cinema or reading a distant sign have become a distant memory. I had LASIK on both eyes about 4 years ago. The staff was friendly and made me feel relaxed about the process. They had a massage therapist on site on the day of surgery. The procedure took about 10 minutes total and they give you a stuffed animal to hold on to if you are nervous. :-) I walked out of the office able to see each leaf on the trees for the first time, and my vision is still perfect. I had a wonderful experience with Vermont Eye Laser New England! The staff were extremely helpful from setting up the initial consultation appointment to the surgery date. The office was very clean and it had a coziness feeling. The process was quick, just depended on how long you want to wait to have the surgery.
