My son is/was the patient of Dr. Ghai for over 15 years! Type 1 Diabetes. For all this years we had an insurance that paid well for the doctor! For the last 3 weeks my husband lost his job as well as the insurance. I called the office I told them about our situation and I asked them to check my son's BG numbers, because his BG is jumping form high to low. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK! I emailed them as well. NO ONE CARES ANYMORE! All they care is money, not the patient.
Treatment was several years ago, but for several years and I have nothing but the fondest memories of Dr. Ghai and the staff at Lutheran general, particularly her RN. Took a time that should have been scary and made it a breeze while allowing me to have an input to my own treatment at a young age teaching me independence and responsibility.
She doesn't seem to take too much personal interest in patients, but she generally knows a significant amount about what she is talking about, and her advice on care is almost always spot on. Be prepared to wait 3-5 months for an appointment, though.
Dr. Ghai used to be great. In her older age she is not as friendly or on top of her game as she used to be. Need a prescription refilled? Call 2 weeks before you're out or you will go about 2 to 3 weeks without meds.There is never the same staff, so nobody knows you or your history. I am very upset all together with this office and doctor... Oh and good luck getting an appointment when you need one!

My child has seen Dr Ghai several times over the past few years. Dr Ghai always spends time answering my questions. She not only manages my daughters disease but makes us feel like she truly cares about our whole family.
