Dr. Kara Kurtz Urnes

Dr Urnes is personable, thorough, and willing to discuss my problems and options for diagnoses of the root problems and treatments. I was relieved after my visit.

I was sent to Dr. Urnes to investigate a potentially concerning heart issue. She was so very fabulous in her approach and in her thoroughness. She reviewed all of my medications, explained how they work independently and in tandem. She explained the tests which were conducted and of course the results. She has a sense of humor and excellent communication skills. She is awesome.

Dr Urmes was a good listener and she explained my situation to me.

Dr. Urnes was gracious, well knowledge about the latest "happenings" and listened to my situation as she didn't put me into a "64" year old woman. I had my own unique issues that she addressed and gave me confidence.

DR URNES talks to you not at you. She has an excellent bedside manor and looks you in the eye when conversing. Her explanations are clear, concise and understandble. I was added to the doctor's schedule at the last minute due to a cancellation - which might contribute to my having a more delayed visit with her than usual. But the visit itself was the usual - thorough, detailed, informative and supported by plenty of data.

I’m so impressed by dr Urnes! I was having BP out of control and she fixed it in the first visit!

Dr. Urnes provides Exceptional expertise, knowledge, and care.. So thankful for her.

Appointment went great from start to finish. Lucky to have this group of people working in the Sequim and surrounding area!

I love Dr. Urnes and her office staff! I always recurve top notch care

Dr. Urnes took the time to research my unusual condition prior to my appointment. She was more thorough than the multiple cardiologists I'd seen over the last decade, and able to develop a treatment plan that took my circumstances into account. I'd highly recommend her, after seeing the attention to detail she paid to my case.

Dr Urnes has great beside manner. She is thorough and takes time explaining care plan and next steps. I highly recommend her.

She is very condescending, abrupt, and an uncaring physician. Is too busy to explain and puts you at a disadvantage from first encounter to end of visit. I would NOT recommend this Cardiologist to any person over 50 as she had NO compassion or people skills. For a Cardiologist she doesn't present herself in a 'healthy' manner as a Cardiologist and doubt seriously she watches her weight in order to give a good impression to her patients - probably doesn't know about 'exercise'! No bedside manner and has no problem in arguing facts that she wants to use but are inappropriate to the visit. Actually incinuated I was NOT telling the truth - now what Doctor with empathy, etc. puts a patient down on first visit? NEVER going back to her again! Clean, efficient, friendly, and thorough are the words that come to mind! What a great doctor. No one likes going to the doctor; this place is different for sure...????

Dr Urnes explained why I should take a medication I didn't want to. Her straight forward approach was very refreshing. If a friend asked me about cardiologists, I would definitely say go to see Dr Urnes. Thank you.
