Mrs. Karen J Bloodworth

I've been seeing Karen off and on for 10+ years. She is by far the most empathetic, kind, and compassionate person I know. She's highly educated and experienced in her field and has provided me with both an understanding and safe place to talk, as well as practical strategies for coping. She has advocated for me when I could not do so for myself. She has truly gone above and beyond to help me and my family.

I remember about 2 years ago when I decided to see a therapist, I was very scared, uncertain, and a little frightened. I had never seen a therapist in my life, and at that time I had suffered a lot of emotional trauma. I was an emotional wreck. I prayed and asked God to lead me to the right therapist, and He did. Ms Karen is a Great Listener. She’s caring and non-judgmental. She have helped me improve on my self- confidence and be more loving towards myself. She has helped me see things from another perspective. She has helped me improve my relationships with my wife, mother, father, kids, but more importantly with myself. She has helped me make peace with my past. Anytime she has corrected my outlook, perspective, or attitude towards a problem; it has always been out of love. Ms. Karen is very compassionate, peaceful, and an easy to talk to person. I highly recommend Ms. Karen!

When I first started seeing Ms. Karen, I was very down about myself wondering what I was always doing wrong. However, Ms. Karen has helped me become aware of my actions, how I view situations, and how I view myself. I am not constantly asking myself what is wrong with my anymore; rather, I am looking beginning to look at situations in a different light. Conversations with Ms. Karen are easy and open, like a casual conversation. It has helped me having someone to talk to and get feedback. One thing Ms. Karen said that really stuck out to me recently was "Well its human nature to idle back and forth, but lesson learned." Mistakes happen for everyone, but she has taught me you have to move forward from them because humans make mistakes.

I was completely and utterly lost when I decided to begin visiting with Karen almost 2.5 years ago now. I have worked with several psychiatrists and counselors prior to working with her and this is the first time I have not only fit well with my therapist but have also seen genuine and lasting improvement in my mental health. Karen has years of experience in a variety of areas - this is immediately obvious in her consistent displays of genuine compassion and empathy, and also shown in her ability to delicately handle the most difficult topics with extreme care. To say I am better off because of my sessions with Karen would simply be an understatement and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who would listen.

I would highly recommend Mrs. Karen Bloodworth. I felt very lost and nervous in the beginning but she has made me feel very comfortable . She is very easy to speak to and understanding. I feel so much better since I have been having my sessions with her. She has truly helped me out a lot.

I have been seeing Ms. Karen for some time and she is wonderful! She makes me feel so comfortable because she brings her heart to the session. Don't get me wrong, she challenges you and may not always say or ask what I want to hear but it is always what I need and it makes me think about things. I don't know what I would do without her because she has taught me so much about myself and how to handle life. I recommend her to everyone because she is phenomenal at what she does and makes me feel so much better when I leave.

I always prided myself on being self-aware. I sought self-knowledge for most of my life. But in doing such learned that we need someone to guide us through the things we can't see, our blind spots. I remember in my first session with Karen, when she asked why I had come to see her, I said: "I am having trouble connecting with people." She knew immediately what that meant, and we began a years-long process of working through it. I am not the easiest person to treat in therapy, I realize this, but Karen was always patient with me. She wouldn't push too hard but would not let me become stagnant in my growth, recovery, and understanding of self. In my opinion, the greatest strength Karen has as a therapist is her ability to give of herself. She does this vulnerably and honestly so that I can relate and be comforted by the simple fact that she is a human being just like me.

I've been seeing Karen for some time now and no matter what the circumstances, I always feel better when I leave. She is genuine and caring and I feel she presents a very casual and open atmosphere. She doesn't always tell me what I want to hear, but what I need to hear. We talk and more importantly, she listens.

I see Karen Bloodworth most Tuesday’s every week. She helped me thru grief & caregiving stress for 6 yrs. when my mom had a heart attack, she spoke to me at the hospital. I will forever be grateful for her empathy and concern for her patients.

Such a great experience each and everytime. She provides excellent counseling through each step of the way and makes it a point to be complete and thorough.
