Dr. Nishida is a kind and compassionate doctor and a highly skilled surgeon. I had surgery with her to remove a uterine polyp and I received the best care from start to finish. Her staff is kind and caring as well. Highly recommend!

Dr. Nishida is the best. This Is the first review because I feel the need to tell everyone extremely comfortable in the decision we came to together. If you are looking for a doctor in Gynecologic Oncology that Dr. Nishida is the absolute best there is! I’m 1 week post op bilateral ovarian remove laparoscopy and I’m recovering very nicely. She is very rude and insensitive. Made me feel super uncomfortable and as if I was crazy. She kept dismissing my OBGYN recommendation based on my age, (being young) and that the new guidelines/law doesnt require Pap smears until 25.. maybe why so many Women in the past lost their uterus because of uneducated selfish doctors like her.. I do not recommend her at all. Save your money and do not waste a minute of your time with a doctor like her. As she is an oncology doctor who has no manners. She’s too worried about being audited rather than helping her patients feel more comfortable when they suffer from bad anxiety. She’s literally getting paid hundreds of dollars to have a 10 min video chat and be dismissive and rude. Also, she was late to our video conference and didn’t even think to have her staff contact me to let me know she’s running late. I had to call her staff to get her to connect and once I finally called her office, she connected a couple minutes after.

Dr. Nashida is a very thorough and talented surgeon, with a wonderful manner. Dr. Nashida was kind and very supportive throughout my surgery process. Her office staff is also kind and supportive.

Dr Nishida is great, not a fan of the office staff. Wait times are also long.

Apathetic Office Staff. Stressful and Clinical Attitude. Indifferent. NO Planetree approach.

Dr. Nishida came recommended by my parent's friend, who had an excellent hysterectomy experience with her. It became clear, during my visit, that Dr. Nishida was the ONLY surgeon for me. I did not knowingly have cancer, but terrible and multiple fibroids with significant and long-term bleeding. Dr. Nishida was thoughtful and proceeded carefully with our plan, and in the end, was very glad I moved forward with my surgery, esp. given the pathology report. It was even worse than we expected. She had me in and out of the hospital quickly and easily, and I had a great experience. I feel better than I have in years. Quick recovery, and she was great with after-care. I had some trouble with hormone patches, and she was always responsive to come up with a better solution. I live in New Jersey, and it was well-worth doing my surgery with someone who was the best for me: not the 'closest' to my house.

I have seen and known Dr. Nishida through the years. I cannot say enough but simply she is truly one of the very best doctors I have ever had. She is caring, knowledgeable, highly skilled and truly provides excellence in her service. I have also referred my family and friends and they truly speak the same volumes of her as well. For this reason, I rate her at a 5 star level.

I wouldn’t recommend her. What doctor says to her patients “I’m done”

Just this past month, my regular gynecologist advised me that I had a very large ovarian cyst. Upon doing some bloodwork, it appeared as though I had elevated markers for cancer. She recommended me to Dr. Nishida for what I thought would be the first step in a very long journey. My gynecologist wanted to have this addressed immediately and Dr. Nishida’s staff did everything in their ability to get me seen as quickly as possible. They were extremely caring and sensitive to me at a time when I was scared and unsure what was going to happen. Three days later, I was in the office and having my first appointment with the doctor. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease in her office. Her staff and nurses all carry themselves very professionally but at the same time are warm and compassionate. Dr. Nishida herself, is extremely professional and thorough. Her office is high-tech and very clean. She answered each one of my questions and concerns, in a clear manner that I understood and never felt rushed. She put me at ease and was able to determine, after she did some further testing in her office, with a good amount of certainty, that it wasn’t a cancer issue. In my case, I didn’t have too many options but Dr. Nishida explained what the best course of action was and I felt extremely comfortable in the decision we came to together. I was however, going to need a full hysterectomy and she wanted to do it the very next day. Her staff worked tirelessly with my insurance company to get approvals for surgery immediately. They were amazing! Dr. Nishida did my surgery the next morning and did a phenomenal job. I was out of the hospital in 24 hours and was feeling good. I’m 3 weeks postop and I’m recovering very nicely. I am extremely fortunate as all my pathology came back cancer free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Nishida and her staff to any one of my friends or family. On the way into the operating room, noticed my platelets were dangerously, unacceptably low. Did the surgery anyway. My hematologist says that was extremely dangerous and I’ll advised and out me at serious risk.

I recently moved to the US and had been suffering with heavy periods due to a fibroid that had regrown after surgery in Australia. I was in a pretty desperate state - anemic and exhausted. Dr Nashida was wonderful from the first consult to the last. The operation was explained in full - hysterectomy leaving ovaries - and it was carried out so well I only needed Tylenol for a couple of days after. Its been a week and a half now and I am just so much happier. I can highly recommend her. Dr. Nishida is a wonderful, caring Doctor that I would recommend to endless people. She did a full hysterectomy on me and did a flawless job, I could not be happier with the results! Although Dr. Nishida is so great, her secretary, I think her name is Kelly? (not sure if that is correct), comes off very rude for the times I have both called, and come in for visits. If someone is going to be working with cancer patients, they should be more welcoming and compassionate.

Dr. Filor my gyno recommended Dr. Nishida after an ultrasound showed a cyst on my right ovary that was "suspicious" and warranted a tumor marker blood test and a visit with an ocology gyno. After meeting with Dr. Nishida she recommended a biopsy of the ovarian cyst. I went for a second and third opinion, first to Yale, Dr. Ratner, and then to Johns Hopkins, Dr. Fader - both stated that YOU NEVER BIOPSY A OVARIAN CYST for risk of spreading the disease. My oncologist, Barry Boyd, also confirmed this. I have a history of multiple cancers - breast, colorectal and melanoma. I do not recommend this doctor. I just moved to CT and was looking for a good Obgyn. Dr. Nishida was referred to me by Greenwich Hospital and I can't say enough how happy am I. Dr. advised a biopsy for an ovarian cyst. Dismissed my desire for a total hysterectomy despite 3 prior cancer diagnosis that included colorectal and breast and melanoma - stating that surgery would be difficult. Went for a second opinion at Yale and a third at Johns Hopkins. Both doctors said you do not biopsy an ovarian cyst due to the chance of seeding (spreading). Both doctors recommended a complete hysterectomy.

Dr. Nishida is an amazing surgeon. She is kind and caring. She takes the time to explain things and answer questions. I felt so comfortable with her, and knew I was in good hands. Highly recommend her to all my family and friends.

Dr. Nishida is an awesome surgeon. Had a full hysterectomy and after the surgery was very little pain. Recovery is quicker than I thought. Excellent Surgeon who I would recommend to everyone!!!

Dr Nishida is amazing @ what she does. & she jus gives u ease of mind & lets u know that everything's going to be alright. I wish I had known about her long ago. So if ur in search of a surgeon, She's the one 2 go 2. She's my girl who truly ROCKS!! :)
