Dr. Katherine A Martin

Was not open to answering any of my questions.

My first impression of Dr. Martin wasn't great. I found her scattered, rude & a bit judgy. Thank God her Physicians Asst did most of the appointment. I wasn't planning on returning. Then I had to return & wasn't looking forward to it. At the 2nd appt she was kind & I felt heard. I left that appt thinking perhaps she had a mean twin that saw me the first time! Even her appearance between the first & second appt was night & day. I was trying to hold out judgement after the first appt; everyone has bad days & I don't know what she is personally dealing with. I have an illness that can have me appearing grand one day & like a drowned rat the next - so I don't like to judge. Doctors are humans after all & who knows how these last 2 years have affected her. After my 2nd appt, I was left feeling happy @ the care I received but confused @ who she really is. The third appt will tell me what I need to know.

Dr Martin took care of my mother for several years. My mother suffered from dementia. Every time I would take mom to see Dr Martin mom would get the biggest smile on her face. Which was a very rare thing for her to do. After seeing the wonderful care she gave my mother, I decided to start seeing her as well. Dr Martin has helped me through my severe depression after losing my mother and my fiancé. My fiancé committed suicide. I have started taking my grand children to her instead of their pediatrician that they had for four years. She is awesome with my grandchildren. When I go in with the kids , because of a cold or what have you, she is never quick to put them on a bunch of unnecessary medication‘s. That was my big problem with their pediatrician. Not only does Dr Martin take care of my medical needs she helps build me up. She’s always got great caring advice for me to better myself. When I have to have a mammogram or a colon ostomy I seem to put it off. When I go in to see her the next time she gently reminds me of what I need to do to get these test taken care of and she explains why they are so necessary. I’m so thankful for Dr Martin. We had just moved to the area and I needed a doctor for different reasons. I specifically was looking for a woman doctor thinking they are usually more sympathetic and kind. Maybe in my past, but certainly not with this woman. Dr Martin seems so knowledgeable! But the way she judged me and made snide comments about my past, my current life and just things that she really didn’t need to be commenting about, left me in shock. I did get the referrals I needed because I bucked up and went back and asked for them and follow through. If you have a hard heart, or at the very least, or someone who is totally indifferent to belittling, snide, judgmental and just mean comments from someone you’ve just totally opened up to, then you’ll be fine with this doctor. Otherwise, nope, no thank you.

About a year ago I went into Dr Martin for something simple. She ended up telling me I was going to be the reason more people died from COVID because I refused to get the vaccine. I went into my opinions, which included the FACT that the vaccines don't stop people from getting the virus. She ARGUED with me, staying the vaccine absolutely works and it's showing in the numbers because less people were getting the virus. She got so angry at me and so unprofessional I walked out and said I won't have my doctor telling me I'm the cause of others' death! She has the worst bedside manner and tries to intimidate her patients and employees. Downright unprofessional. Dr. Martin how do you feel now that the government, CDC, drug makers and the anointed one FAUCI all admit it will not stop you from contracting the virus??? It's a shame you have such poor bedside manor because you really are a good physician.

Receiptionist ignored me initially. No big deal, maybe she was just having a bad day. I have seen Dr. Martin a couple of times, and have tolerated her bluntness because she seemed to be a good physician, and I still believe that she is. Today she took it to another level, and I will never go back. Her poor bedside manor is shockingly disrespectful and out of line! Thankfully for myself and others, there are plenty of good Doctors in St. Mary's to choose from!

Dr. Martin is a great listener which I truly appreciated. I felt she really cared about my well-being. I would definitely recommend her to friends.

Dr. Martin is an exceptional physician. If you are looking for a doctor that will genuinely care about you and your health, look no further. Dr. Martin will take the time to tell you what you need to hear about your health and offer her professional advice on how to be proactive in living a healthier lifestyle. Her staff is very professional, helpful and polite as well. I am so grateful to have found such an experienced, knowledgeable and caring doctor. I trust her completely with my health and well being. I highly recommend her for you as well.

Not personable enough for my family receptionist is awful her assistants are great

My family and I just moved here from Richmond. We contacted this office for an appointment. Dr. Martin never us or sat down with us. She has refused to take over our medication refills and is not personable. She talked down to the nurse practitioner several time as well as other staff. We have been there twice and have not had anytime with her.

I find Dr. Martin to be very thorough and professional with a wide breadth and depth of medical knowledge. And she seems to genuinely care about her patients. She tends to be no nonsense, but that's a very good trait in a doctor. Her staff is also very professional and always makes me feel very comfortable. If you have an issue that needs immediate attention they always fit you in the same day and never make you feel rushed even in that event.

I feel lucky to have DR. Martin as my primary care doctor.there are times she is tough but thats because she cares about her patients.

The receptionist (whoever she may be) is VERY rude & nasty!!! Super unprofessional. Makes you not even want to make the appointment!

She had been my dr for yrs. Shes professional and straight forward. Shes has concern for her patients. That omt she specializes in really helps any injured area.

Wonderful staff! Dr Martin is amazing, she was professional and knowledgeable. I am so happy to have found her.

I haven’t seen a dr in over a year since I moved to Maryland dr Martin was great she actually listened to what my issues were and we are going to work on them together to get me better and healthy I was very pleased with how my first appt turned out and I’m not a fan of drs but actually can’t wait until my next appt to work on my health some more thank you so much dr martin

Dr. Martin has been fantastic in ensuring I have great medical care. She cares about her patients. The staff is always friendly and attentive. No long waits times ever.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Martin. She is a wonderful doctor who takes care of her patients with a motherly instinct. A very down to earth doctor with a wonderful staff.

The front desk displayed horrible customer service and I waited almost 30 mins before being seen!

From my very first visit, I could tell that Dr. Martin and her staff truly care about the well-being of their patients. The reasonable wait-time is matched by how much one-on-one time Dr. Martin puts in. She made sure to address each of my questions and gave me some truly life-saving advice that I followed. Her straightforward and personal approach to medicine makes my visits as painless as possible!

Dr. Martin as a physician is excellent. Her diagnosis has been spot on for my family everytime. She actually saved my life in a super timely diagnosis. This said; her bedside manner is horrible. She is arguementative, disregards other physicians, takes second opinions personally. The office could use some updating and heavy cleaning. I believe she would make an excellent research M.D.

Dr. Martin's receptionist is courteous,professional,and helpful. Regretfully Dr. Martin is extremely rude,sarcastic,and unprofessional. She doesn't seem to desire to thoroughly answer questions or give complete information or medical assistance for patient conditions. Scheduled visits can be lengthy without regard to patients.

Good experience and progress towards solving semi-chronic condition. I recommend her to people who don't mind a more-hands on approach. I have had great service with the front desk and think very highly of the practice, besides the taste in decor. I give her 5 stars, but would recommend she look into an interior design consultant. Then again, she is there to do medicine, not charge an arm and a leg for a shiny office.

I think Dr. Martin is Great she gets bad reviews due to people not getting what they want when they come in she gives what they need and not to mention new regulations that people don't know about , they are becoming stricter with their writing narcotics and such and have to document everything !!! She treats the whole person she is human and can have a bad day too , Thanks Dr. Martin

I'm, unfortunately, stuck with Dr. Martin because my insurance company won't let me change primary doctors yet. Every time I go there, I have to bite my tongue to keep from telling her off. Dr. Martin is VERY rude, sarcastic and nit picky. She puts every other doctor down and will take one's head off if they dare to disagree with her. Because of the way she acts, I don't trust her or feel comfortable with her treating me. I do not recommend Dr. Martin.

I've been going to Dr. Martin for 4 years and will still continue to until the day she retires. I don't understand why people are so angry with her passion. She takes all the precautions necessary in order to PREVENT whatever that may be, from occurring. I love her methods, that's passion. I recently went to get a flu shot because I knew that if I didn't, I would get sick during the cold months that follow. This is preventive medicine. That's what she advocates and I stand behind her fully.

dr Martin is very considerable about her patient health and well being,if you have a problem it solved sometimes before you leave her office. I love her I would ask anyone to visit her office shes the best.

I think she is great! She is NOT a recipe doctor- every patient is an individual. As such, patient care is personalized. I may not always like what I hear, but I know that she has my best interests and my well-being in consideration. I love that she gets to know me and treats my concerns with respect. That's the kind of medical care everyone needs- individual and well thought out plans of care! I highly recommend Dr. Martin!

I went here to establish primary care and literally left in tears. The Doctor is very rude and disrespectful. She has this attitude like she doesn't care about her patients. Being as though I'm diabetic I really needed a doctor. I would not suggest this place to anyone. The Doctor does not care and it shows and it's very sad for patients who go there seeking medical care. Please find a more caring place.

The Doctor was very rude, doesn't doesn't really care about your health. I came in to stablish primary care. The doctor was very rude did not make you feel comfortable. I had to refill my prescription, because we recently relocated in the area. I had a priscription for Adderral and Hydrozyzine. I let her know that I was out of medication because I had to wait 1 month and half to see her. The doctor was very sarcastic, rude.
