Got upper blepharoplasty with ptosis correction here to correct my sleepy looking eyes. So far I’m extremely happy with the results. It is even and natural. I look more awake and approachable. Being in the medical field myself, I like that Dr. Kim does his procedures under local anesthesia only. It’s safer that way. During some parts of the procedure it can get a little uncomfortable but I’ll take that over sides effects of general anesthesia or conscious sedation. Front desk staff esp Bridgett was extremely helpful in setting up appointments, answering questions and helping me reach Dr. Kim. Thank you to everyone involved in this process.

Dr. Kim did my awake breast augmentation a few months ago! I always wanted my breasts done, but was terrified to be put to sleep. On top of that, I am severely hypoglycemic and cannot fast before being put under general anesthesia, so I always felt like surgery wasn't in the cards for me. Finding Dr. Kim and being able to stay awake during this surgery was life changing. I felt no pain and Dr. Kim and his staff made me feel so incredibly comfortable. I also had an incredibly quick recovery and only took 1 dose of pain medication before realizing Tylenol would do the trick. Friends of mine couldn't believe how fast I was back to normal day to day activities. I am forever grateful for this experience and I can't recommend it enough!

I have been very nervous about getting any procedures done but I knew that something had to be done about my ptosis. I did deep research before picking this place. I wanted to do double eyelid surgery for the longest time. Ever since I knew eyelid surgery was a thing when I was in middle school and now I am in college. This place is great. The nurses there were all so nice. The doctor wasn’t rude but he was a bit hard to warm up to. I understand that he must be stressed or tired due to his busy schedule of seeing clients/patients all day. I loved my result but the reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star is because I had some scar tissues that I had to deal with about 3-4 months post surgery. I did not expect this at all. I had no knowledge of anyone having eyelid scar tissue. Another reason for why I didn’t give 5 stars was because in the middle of the night, I would wake up to my right eye feeling like something is in there. I would try to see if there was anything in there but there wasn’t anything. I didn’t think too much about it because I was still “healing”. This was happening before my eyelid scar tissue problem and after. The doctor checked on it but he said there was no sign of anything in there. No stitches left behind or anything. Could be the cause of ingrown eyelashes. But I never had this problem before the surgery. This wasn’t a big big problem but recently it started to effect me during the day time while I was driving to school/work. It was pretty scary. Some other info in case it helps someone out. I live pretty far from LA and I had to see the doctor a total of 3 times so far. Once for surgery, another for my scar tissue, and recently for something that was in my eye. Dr. Kim is one of the most talented doctors I've ever met. He did eyelid surgery which fits me very well. There is no pain during the surgery and he replied my concerns in time always. Worst sub brow lift and rhinoplasty ever!!! My nostrils are super uneven and look terrible and even though he said a sub brow lift wouldn’t change the distance between my eyebrow and my eye during the consultation, it did. My eyebrows sit lower in my forehead and one is much lower than the other. he removed so much skin that half of my eyebrows will never grow back and I am left with uneven thin eye brows sunken eyes and permanent visibly deep scars. I also asked him not to use cartilage from my ear during the consultation and he still cut my ear and didn’t end up using it because he didn’t need to and now I can’t wear cuff earrings because the cartilage is too flat. When I expressed my concerns to him he only made it worse and left me crying. He said my nostrils were something he couldn’t fix as if that’s what they were like before and also when I told him my eyebrows were lower and I looked like a man he said “well at least you can see your whole eyelid now” I liked my eyes and nose before, I just wanted small changes and now I feel hideous. It's been 3 months since I got my surgery and it looks very natural. Dr. Kim is very professional and his staff is responsive. 10/10 would recommend for double eyelid surgery (I got Asian blepharoplasty and epicanthoplasty). It wasn’t the most pleasant experience/procedure. I had a double eyelid surgery and the pre- and post-operation process wasn’t well thought out or organized. Granted they work in a smaller office and the receptionists were new, but I wish I had read more reviews before making my decision. I’m making and edit now that it’s been a year and my eyes are fully healed, they are definitely uneven - left eye barely has a crease (still looks like a monolid) and the right eye is heavily hooded. I also haven’t been contacted for a check up. I’m now having to research other places to get this corrected. I waited years before searching again for a doctor who could finally help improve my eyes. I consulted with many plastic surgeons as I wanted to make sure I chose the right doctor this time around. One of the surgeons I met with referred me to Dr. Kenneth Kim who he knew to be an expert at eyelid surgery and would be able to correct my specific condition—lower eyelid corneal exposure causing me dry eyes and upper eyelid ptosis making it difficult to open my eyes. I would not recommend this doctor.He is not worth, neglected the after-effect and is obsessed with money.

I was thinking about getting rhinoplasty done and made an appointment for consultation with them. I made an appointment for 11:40 but had to wait 40 minutes to see the doctor for a very short time in a rush (about 20 minutes). I still had many remaining questions so made a 2nd appointment the following week for 11 but had to wait another 40 minutes to be let in to see the doctor for a very short time again (around 15 minutes this time). I wanted to go over the shape and the design and how it would come out, but he said there is no way of knowing it in advance because it really depends on your skin and many other conditions during the surgery. It made me leave the consultation room with a lot of doubt because it's like you are going for such a big surgery with almost no information on how it would look. Many hospitals now offer 3D-CT and other pre-imaging to go over the design and the results during the consultation to help you make a decision. If not, they at least, try to listen to the patients' desired design, but this place would skip this very important step and completely leave it to you to gamble. Save yourself some time and go see this doctor! Talented plastic surgeon and the best in town! My mom had a few procedures done here and referred me over. Best decision I ever made! Sweetest staff and very accommodating. I am so happy with my results and will be going back to this doctor again!

Thrilled to meet this doctor for the first time. Had so many questions during my consultation but he gave me the time I needed to get all of them answered. My appointment was a little late though. My first time to visited to see Dr. Kenneth Kim from my parents was search to find him who is best plastic surgeon of doctor in Los angeles. I can feel and trust him to fixed my new eyelid. I got surgeon from him in few month ago (February/2019) and recovery to feel better. I felt, he is best doctor, good patient with me, and amazing person! I had a series of eyelid adjustment operations done w/ Dr. Kim which went extremely well. He took time to speak w/ me in detail for consultation, explained the procedures needed clearly, prepared me for surgery w/ best procedures, and preformed the surgery successfully. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kim!

Doctor Kim is the most amazing doctor; his amazingness comes from his kindness and skillfulness. He is someone you need to be lucky to meet; seriously, he charges reasonably and he does a great job. I do so many search and analyzing before I went for the rhinoplasty surgery, and I finally choose him even with the relatively low rate comments from other rating sites. The core is I have had an consultation in person with him, and I felt he is such a great person. Not trying to persuading me do precede the surgery, nor pushing me to make any decision, he gave me an complete analysis and suggest of my nose and tell me the procedure process that how it would be operated. Besides, he does not charge for the consultation fee. I have asked a lot other doctors who charges almost double price and with general anesthisia method, which is what i am against for. This doctor told me there is no need for patients to be injected with general anesthesia, but local anesthesia is enough. I, at the beginning, kept asking him is it gonna be intolerant pain if I am awake during the surgery. I swear that it is not painful at all. I do not have any purple eyes or heavy swelling because the local anesthesia I guess. He told me it is because there was not much bleeding, he very careful operating and taking his time. A doctor who can does local anesthesia ,instead of knocking you off completely like other doctors, does not cause pain, imaging how good and skillful one could be to do so. He spent the whole day just for one surgery, no rush at all! I am very appreciate and love the result. I truly hope all you girls go ahead to have a consultation with him in person and feel him personally to make your decision, not being fooled by the low rate comments. Had my double eyelid surgery done by Dr. Kim, and it came out looking so natural and beautiful. I am so happy with my eyes now the staff are very kind, and they are very meticulous and on top of follow ups and post op care.

Thank you Dr. Kim for my amazing results!! My results are even better than I could’ve imagined!!! I was recommended by my friend and her mom to go to Dr. Kenneth Kim for my double eyelid surgery with epicanthoplasty. My friend went to Dr. Kim to get her eyelid surgery and her mom went for a facelift procedure and both of them had such beautiful and natural looking results!! Dr. Kim’s has amazing credentials and many years of experience. I was thinking of going to Korea to get this procedure done, but when I found out that Dr. Kim was part of Dream Medical group headquartered in Korea, I was ecstatic!! I was happy to hear that they had an office in LA. I immediately booked my consultation with him the following week. I’m so glad I did!! At the consultation, Dr. Kim was really warm and attentive. He really took the time to go over all my concerns and answer all of my questions. I think he could sense my nervousness so I really appreciated him taking the time to make sure I was well informed about what to expect. He also provided me with a great visualization of what my results would look like. I also liked how he showed me high resolution videos of patients and their eye movements and how natural they look. You can really tell that this doctor has a great aesthetic eye and is very experienced and knowledgeable. During my surgery, Dr. Kim made me feel really calm. He would have conversation with me during the surgery to help me feel more at ease and would always let me know exactly what was happening. During my surgery, he had me open and close my eyes to make sure it opened and closed comfortably. After the surgery, I didn’t have much swelling at all. I got my dynamic double eyelid surgery + ptosis repair in March 2013 by Dr. Kenneth Kim. The results are AMAZING! During the initial consultation, Dr. Kim was showing me of all these great results of dynamic incision, and I thought it was an over-dramatic advertisement too good to be true. The video of the patients he showed me had NO incision mark on the eyelids! But I've been to several plastic surgeons' office in LA and OC region, and I had a very good impression from Dr. Kim;s office, and I liked the before/after pictures I saw in his office the best, so I decided to go with Dr. Kim. The surgery was somewhat painful. You would know what other people mean by feeling the needle. It's not pain you experience, but apparently the local anesthesia cannot numb the pulling or tugging sensation so you feel that. And it could be traumatizing for some people that they are feeling something, even though it is not pain they are experiencing. In other words, be prepared for that but don't freak out! My eyes look amazing. I never expected that eyelid surgery can bring such dramatic change in the way I look but it does.
