I agree he don’t have the best bedside manner but he’s an excellent doctor I would rather have the best doctor. Bedside manner don’t keep patients aliveBut he does and it sounds to me like all he did was tell you the hundred percent truth.

Terrible bedside manner- Does not know how to talk to people . Would not recommend him! Don't know how telling a family that we will try medicine but it won't work and will have to be put on the heart transplant list- any questions? Learn how to speak to people!!

I went in to see Dr. Retter because I was referred to see a cardiologist after being in the ER for extremely high blood pressure and my ekg came back abnormal. He didn’t listen to me nor look through my paper work. His exact words were “you came to see me, what do you want me to do.” Even though they called me because I had been in the ER and the ER doctor told me I need to follow up with a cardiologist. I had to ask him to look at my blood pressure and pulse readings (the ER Doctor told me to make sure I wrote it down and took it with me) he scanned it. He told me because I was thin and didn’t smoke basically nothing could be wrong with me. And I don’t have the best insurance so this visit basically is out of my pocket. He was in a rush didn’t act like he cared. Put me on a beta blocker and said come back to see me in a month. I have never ever wrote a negative review in my life, but I have also never been treated by someone in the medical profession like this before. Does not listen. Doesn't read all records before seeing patient.

Dr. Retter takes care of my husband who had a heart attack several years ago. Despite many issues with the hospital, he is always attentive and we feel that he offers good care.

This man is a commonsense doctor, he don't pull punches. He tells it like it is.I am very grateful this man was oncall the night I needed him, and that he had the good sense to talk sense into me.Thankyou Dr. Retter and staff!!!!
