Kenneth Rothstein

Dr. Rothstein is a great clinician and a wonderful, down-to-earth human being. He really cares about you as a patient and genuinely seeks the best ways to maintain or improve your health. Dr. Rothstein is without question the "go to guy" when it comes to his specialty.

I first contacted the doctor in March, asking for a call back to my cell. he called back on my home phone when I was at work. This happened twice. My May appointment was cancelled due to the pandemic and the receptionist promised to call back which never happened. During the telehealth visit I asked doctor for a refill of my medication which he promptly forgot. After a reminder he did sent the script to the drugstore. Now a month later I am still waiting for a script for blood test that he wanted me to take. I picked the medication at the store and he chose incorrect doze ( too much). The doze is based on the weight of the patient and easily calculated. He never asked me whether I wanted tablets or capsules and whether I wanted 30 days supply or 90. During our follow up phone conversation he refused to apologize and proceeded to upbraid me for a not very nice e-mail I sent to his office.

I can say for my Dr.Rothstein , Has always given me the most undivided attention when I come for my yearly visit, Not only that but he is the one who Saved My life ! Love that Doctor ????

I’m so grateful to Dr Rothstein and his staff. There’s a reason he’s the regional director of Hepatology Excellence at diagnosis of Auto Immune Hepatitis without a liver biopsy. I’m in remission with no cirrhosis or damage. The best bedside manner by far . University of Pennsylvania is a far better place with his golden hands and years of experience

Dr. Rothstein has the utmost knowledge, compassion and understanding, of his patients. He takes the time, to thoroughly explain everything to his patients. There's no other physician, with the knowledge, of him.

Ken has been treating me for almost 10 years now. It a hard to find a doctor who is as compassionate about his patients as he is about his field of medicine!

If you want a doctor that will take the time with you explaining your medical issue so you understand, he is the one. Very down to earth doctor. A great sense of humor. I wouldn't trade him for the world!!

Best Doctor I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable and it is easy to talk with him. He does not give off the aura of superiority. If you are looking for a doctor with his specialty this is your man. I highly recommend. John McMullen.

Excellent experience. Very professional specialist.

I have a question, does everyone have to have medical records faxed to the office first, I am worried that the time that it is going to take to change dr.'s. I can't deal with who I am with. There is no attention to patients and feels like a zoo everytime I go there. I am praying for a Dr. like Dr. Rothstein. I have to wait a week until I get my records mailed from Temple to Dr. Rothstein. It is totally worth the wait of course, as I have done some research myself and find a better doctor for myself. I was recently in August, diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver, with Ascites and Hepatic Encephalopathy. I am praying that God answers my prayers and this process will go nice, smooth and fast, They are letting me just die over here. I need Help!!!! Thank you for your detailed reviews, as I wouldn't have considered him as much. I can't wait to hear from the office, I will be like a little child on xmas morning. Dr. Kenneth Rothstein, in our beliefs, saved my husbands life. My husband suffered from an episode of esophageal varices, approximately 3 years ago, and was hospitalized, for almost a week. I did tons of research and spent many, many hours trying to locate a good hepatologist doctor, in our area. In turn, I came across Dr. Rothstein, I contacted his office, at Hahnemann University Hospital and spoke to his assistant. She assured me that he would return my call. Well, he did. And he did not know my husband, nor myself and called us back, WHILE on his own personal vacation. My husbands hepatitis C had been previously treated, approx 10 years ago, and was back in full force. With dedication, and much determination, Dr. Rothstein and his team, treated my husband aggressively and monitored him very closely, on the Harvoni 24 week treatment. My husband is now 8 weeks post-treatment, and labs are still showing that he is CURED of Hepatitis C. Without being under Dr. Rothsteins direct care, we firmly believe, that my husband may not be here today! His whole staffing team is absolutely very responsive and phenomenal, towards his patients. Dr. Rothstein, I cannot say enough good things. He is more than a excellent physician, he is a caring and compassionate human being.

Dr.Rothstein has helped me so much. HE is the best docotr I ever had. He is compassionate, understanding and explains things very well. I do not have enough good things to say about him. Best Gastreonologist and haepatologist in the Philadelphia areas, probably the whole tri-state area. I would recommend him to anyone. Keep up the good work DR. ROthstein. You are the man. I have been patient of Dr. Rothstein for 17 years. I was infected with Hep C from a complication from a surgery. The local GI that had initially treated me, knew absolutely nothing about Hep C. I was 28 years old, had 3 young children and that Dr.'s advice to me was that I was very sick, that my liver was in very bad shape, I would remove your Gal bladder, but I am afraid that you would die on the table from liver failure. If I were you, I would get your affairs in order, because I don't think you are going to make it more than six months. Then I met Dr. Kenneth Rothstein. Dr. Rothstein successfully treated my Hepatitis aggressively. I have been virus free since 1996. I cannot say enough about Dr. Rothstein's competence, knowledge and optimism. I would recommend him to anyone with any kind of liver ailment. He is by far, the BEST Doctor that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
