Dr. Kent David Smallwood

Dr. Smallwood is one of the best psychologists I have come across. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about a vast array of topics, he is able to apply that knowledge to your therapy to show why you should consider other ways of thinking about your own situations. As to the two "1-star" reviews on this site, it appears that the same person wrote both reviews. The keywords are all the same, the dates are extremely similar, and the tone of each comment is almost identical.

Very good, no BS. Listens well and provides guidance. May not always be what you want to hear but the way he challenges you is appropriate. We all need to be appropriately challenged at times to improve and he does a good job. I've referred him to friends and they appreciate his style as well.

This Dr. did not address my concerns at all. He did not listen, show empathy or show any kind of genuine concern for my well being.

I had addressed several concerns with this Doctor and all concerns were bypassed. He did not show concern, empathy, or seem to care for my well being under his care. This resulted in me being put in harms way. Please avoid this Doctor at all costs.
