If you prefer your or your loved ones health care plan be that you lay in pain while this physician and his staff plan to financially benefit from you then this is your guy. If not, I would recommend getting a second opinion. Dr. Hackett saw and preformed a procedure on my mother at Meritus hospital, sent her home in excruciating pain with instructions to follow up with his office. When done, his office staff offered my mother an apt. on Nov. 30th to see her for paperwork and establish her as a patient and couldn't say when the procedure could be done, that would depend on how long it took the insurance to approve. Didn't this provider just perform a procedure on my mother; who is already a mychart Meritus patient? Yes, he did which makes her an established patient. My family decided we wanted a second opinion. Doctor # 2 office visit on Thursday, Monday morning procedure performed and my mother is on her way to recovery. Seeking a second opinion I realized the plan offered by Dr. Hackett would have left my mother in pain longer and ended with three procedures, when it should had already been done and taken care of the first time at Meritus hospital. The doctors were fine, receptionists were fine, however the nurse checking on my father after his lithotripsy was the worst nurse I have ever met in my entire life. NO MASK number one, working in a medical field around patients getting out of a procedure and NO MASK??! Really?! Made several rude comments to me personally and I don’t appreciate it. If anyone knows who I can contact to report her behavior or to find her name because she didn’t give it to me while we were there PLEASE let me know!!! Dr. Hackett is a skilled and compassionate doctor. I am happy to be his patient. HG

If you choose this practice, be prepared to do an ultrasound, and MRI (completely unnecessary and they told me that I did not have a medical condition that I told them I had seen another doctor about for 5+ years) and a cystoscopy, even if that has nothing to do with your symptoms. I did the first two and did not want to do the cystoscopy as it had nothing to do with my bladder issues. The first appointment went reasonably well but I left the second appointment in tears. I finally said that I would do the cystoscopy but they took two weeks to call me back after several voicemails I left. I finally just chose another practice with a more experienced doctor. I saw Bernadette there. My new doc is on the right path. This is the worst doctor I ever encountered. He made the wrong dignostic on my wife's urinary track infection, missed the main e-coli virus and consequently she almost died. @ months after seeing him I had to take my wife to the emergency room. They treat her for a week to stabilize the problem. No one should go see him if you value your life.

When he first came to Hagerstown he cared about his patients. Now he won't transfer you if he can not figure out what is wrong. He has a god complex. Don't go to him.

Been trying to get into this doctors office for a year now schedule an appointment and they keep calling me and rescheduling it have not gotten to see the doctor at all but just keep calling me and rescheduling my appointment and don’t waste your time go somewhere else. What a waste of time!!!

Had a procedure here in November that should have been feeling better in a few weeks, it is nearly March and I still have pain and discomfort with nothing more from them other than, things should clear up.

I only know Kevin and Barb his nurse. Straight up guy. I highly recommend this practice. Waits are short.

My husband got his appts for his procedure and both were completed without complications. His was feeling great 1 week after his procedure. Follow us was great. This drs office is wonderful and very courteous.

Don't come to his office if you suspect interstitial cystitis. Not only did they initially try to do the cystoscopy with hydrodistention without anesthesia (which is torture) they also refused any and all pain medication and I went through the worst pain for weeks because the surgery caused my symptoms to worsen and I got no sympathy or explanation from the office or the doctors. I would never go here again. If you have simple urological issues then its fine, but not for chronic conditions.

My husband went to this office - and had a consultation with a nurse giving an exam and he ended up in the ER - the very same day. We received 6 bills from different places for the 1 appt. so I do not recommend this office to anyone. In speaking with a nurse on the bills - she was not understanding - rude and defends the billing practices - without ever providing the results to the patient. Even by mail. This is all true. So sadly the Dr. is getting a bad rap based on his staff's LACKING.
