Dr. Makati is an amazing heart surgeon. After being diagnosed with AFIB I consulted several surgeons including Mayo Clinic and chose Dr. Makati. The procedure went perfectly and it has now been 18 months with zero episodes of AFIB. Great bedside manner. Very caring surgeon. Not only recommend but highly recommend.

My friend referred me to see this Doc. I needed more options because the doctors in my area told me nothing more could be done. I liked the fact that he has been recently published in research journals and practices academic medicine with new techniques. . . not the medicine doctors have learned decades ago. He spent time with me. Was genuinely interested in fixing me. It wasnt easy to get an appointment I will agree with others but I can actually live now after having the ablation. Off most of my medications and finally feeling like a human again! I cant thank you enough!!

Best doctor practicing academic medicine. Fixed me when others turned me down. I am so thankful he is here!

Nothing but great things to say about Dr Makati. Made our family feel very comfortable and have all the confidence in him.

In my opinion this doctor is a medical idiot, stay well away!

I started seeing Dr. Makati when he diagnosed me with AFIB in 2013. At that time he ordered a CT scan of my lower body. He never followed up with the results. At that time I was diagnosed with peripheral artery disease. He never discussed the diagnosis with me or treated me for for the PAD. Due to the PAD diagnosis he wasn’t treating me correctly for my AFIB. I am very lucky that I didn’t have a stroke the past six years while under Dr. Makati’s care. Now that I am under the care of another cardiologist I realize how neglectful Dr. Makati was with my care.

Surgery scheduled for dec 21st DR canceled on dec 20th for being 11Lbs over weight so rather then see me and come up with a game plan 1 of his employees calls and days loose 60-75lbs in 3-6 months and call us.meanwhile im in afib and cant breathe good i feel like this DR could care less.

When comes to schedule they're very poor. They change my appointment 3 time when I have a serious problem with my heart.

Doctor Kevin Makati is an awesome cardiologist!! He listens to your concerns, answers all your questions and tells you about the ablation procedure, from mapping the ablation with GPS so he knows exactly where the ablation will be done.
