Dr. Kevin Wang

I never imagined I would need a partial knee replacement. Last January I had first visited Dr Fernando Manalac and during my office visit he discovered I was bone on bone on one side of my knee along with two meniscus tears. I had heard wonderful things about Dr Kevin Wang. Dr Wang himself was also very professional and explained my options to me very thoroughly. With my health insurance being difficult I continued to see Dr. Manalac who really tried everything to avoid me having to proceed with surgery. The damage was too severe from the years of running and playing sports. A Partial Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement was the best decision I have ever made. I went home the night of surgery walking with a walker and cannot stress how easy it was. The recovery was super easy, and my knee feels amazing. Thank you very much Dr Fernando Manalac and his office staff Carley and CeCe & Dr. Kevin Wang and his office staff Michelle and Julie for everything. Very professional, caring, and talented both these doctors are. Thank you for taking the popping and severe pain away from my knee.

Dr. Kevin Wang recently performed my total knee replacement surgery. He also performed hip replacement surgery on my husband two years sho. We are both so pleased!! He is highly skilled, very patient focused with great empathy and concern for his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Wang for your knee & hip consultations, evaluation & surgery!!!

After being in and out of P. T. I’m now faced with a revision to replace a loose cup. Dr. Kevin Wang is not only an amazingly professional and skillful Orthopedic Surgeon but a caring and kind physician, who truly cares for his patients and their wellbeing. We have been seeing him since 2018 and we (my husband and I) would and have recommended him to others for their hip and knee orthopedic needs!

I was impressed with Dr. Wang remembering me from 4 years ago. He was indeed very thorough with his explanation. Very detailed and really passionate about his work.

This was my 1st visit to an orthopedic doctor in general. I was very happy to see that the office was running on time. I actually saw Dr. Law who is part of Dr. Wang's team. I was surprised to see Dr. Law come out to meet me in the waiting room. I was thoroughly impressed and he seemed focused on me and not on other patients. He listened to my concerns, gave me the details of my X-rays (that I could understand!), and gave me some good options. I left very happy with the care I received and the supporting staff were very nice and caring.

Dr Kevin Wang is amazing and so knowledgeable and caring & so is his staff. He just did my total posterior hip replacement using the MAKO robotic procedure. He also straightened my crooked pelvic so now I don’t walk with a limp and at 7 weeks post-op am able to walk with no hip arthritis pain. I would definitely recommend him for hip & knee replacement.

We took an xray of my right hip. We discussed a direction forward. However I can not get cortisone shot till May 19th with Dr Paul Rodriguez. I will continue light pt until May 19th. I had my first consultation with Dr. Wang this past Monday. I found him to be very friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. My previous orthopedic surgeon retired and referred Dr. Wang to me, and I'm so pleased!!

Dr Wang took his time to explain everything about having a knee replacement. He was very honest and gave some advise I'd never thought about. I never felt like I was being hurried which means a lot. Great experience.

Last visit I saw Dr Law ( Dr Wang) partner for non surgical visit as he does not do surgery. He is a very caring happy kind Dr. takes the time to talk and listen to your issues and complaints to give you the best treatment for the issue. I would definitely recommend Dr. law for any non surgical orthopedic issues. Dr Wang is an excellent very caring kind physician Both physician are great and awesome...

It is clear that Dr. Kevin Wang is devoted to his profession as well as his patients' needs. The same is true for his efficient staff. Dr. Wang is actively engaged in making his patient feel both comfortable and informed about his process. Most reassuring.

Very satisfied with my overall experience with Dr. Wang for my knee surgery. I would absolutely recommend him to family and friends.

I was shocked when my rheumatologist told me I needed a knee replacement. Fortunately, he also advised me to go see Dr. Kevin Wang. Now that I've visited Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute, I'm glad I took that advise. During my first visit to his office, Dr Wang and his staff made me feel entirely welcome. Dr. Wang answered every one of my questions. While we talked, I was impressed by his willingness to explain that knee replacement was painful and challenging. Instead of causing concern, his honesty made me feel that my surgeon and his staff would be willing and able to get me through the discomfort. Julie Bernberg, PA-C, Physician Assistant, did an excellent job of recording my case history. I was impressed by her warm personality. It's obvious that Julie was a valuable member of Dr. Wang's staff. In addition, Donetrius Murray, RMA, has been a wonderful contact. "Doni" actually answers phone calls and emails. She has proven to be an excellent contact.

Dr. Wang is undoubtedly one of the best orthopedic surgeons there is. He is knowledgeable, kind, considerate and caring. He recently did a hip replacement on my girlfriend and we are more than pleased with him. I will be needing a knee replacement later this year and will definitely consult with Dr. Wang.

Dr Wang is very personable, knowledgeable, and listened to me as well as answered my questions.

After 7 weeks of total knee replacement, my knee is doing exceptionally well. Dr. Wang and his staff are warm and professional and answered all my questions. I’ve already rescheduled my 2nd knee surgery with him.

I had total hip replacement (Posterior Approach) on October 12, 2021 and saw Dr. Wang on November 29 I was walking with a walker but I was able to take more than a couple of steps without it. We walked together and I was so happy and I could tell that he was very pleased with my recovery. Zero pain. Please don't hesitate to go and consult with him, you will feel as good as new after your procedure. Remember, follow his direction and the best will happen

Dr Wang is certainly someone I would consider a pleasant representative of a “ medical endangered species“ ! For aprox 1 hour I felt transported to the days that a physician would be seen as part of our families. Those days your “family doctor “ would spend time learning about you, understanding all details (the devil is always inside the details…). Those were the days when doctors were much more than professionals that the Corporate/Financial structure of the health industry sometimes sees only as revenue producers for the corporation. That said, Dr Wang not only took the time to listen to all details and investigate my specific situation but also, very clearly, explained me all the options I have and the Pros and Cons of each of them. Undoubtedly he is now my “family orthopedist”! A word for Holly Cross and Trinity Health: Please look around your hospitals and facilities more frequently…. Take some time out of the spreadsheets and P&Ls! You will find amazing people that , like Dr Kevin Wang, make the difference in your organization! Dr Wang and his PA are excellent Doni is a caring PA and calls you back usually that day and she has helped me getting a Specialty Medication from CVS. So fair all the staff has been helpful.

Dr. Wang took the time to explain my condition and treatment options enabling me to make a decision about my treatment. He was very respectful and compassionate.

My first hip replacement was in January of 2021. Then in October, Dr. Wang worked his magic on my left hip. Quite honestly, I haven't felt this GREAT in over 5 years. I could barely walk, couldn't stand for more than an hour, and sleeping was literally...a nightmare. Today I'm actually working out with Battle Ropes and lifting weights again. I just finished making a bunch of pies for T'giving. It was a marathon 5-hour session, and I felt NO pain...none, zero, nada, zip! Dr. Wang is an absolute blessing!

Everyone was very efficient and very caring. I felt comfortable and was able to discuss future plans with Dr Wang. I finally feel like I am in good hands !

I didn't actually see Dr. Wang..I saw Doctor Raw. He was great. He showed me my XRay and explained everything to me in a compassionate and easy to understand way. He also explained my options and we decided a shot of Cortisone might help. If it dies not work he told me to advise him. A good overall visit

Doctor didn't keep me waiting. Was direct and to the point on what he saw and offered me short term and long term solutions that could work for me. Initial cortisone shot has alleviated most of the pain in my knee which should help with addressing long term management and mitigation.

Best experience I've had in a long time at a doctor's office. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The office and patient rooms were impeccably clean and the Doctors cared about my condition and found the best course of treatment for me. Thank you Dr's Wang and Law , best wishes.

Came to this doctor when I was in severe pain especially during activity. He suggested surgery and explained the process. Very pleased with my outcome. Surgery went well and recovery was positive and speedy. At present, 12 weeks later, I am very satisfied. My quality of life has improved significantly and activities are improving daily. I have no regrets. Dr Wang is efficiënt and highly recommended in my opinion and experience. My quality of life is 100% better. Thank you Dr. Wang!

I was seen before the time of my appointment. Dr. Law, Dr. Wang's colleague, had read my history. He gave me a thorough exam, told me what he thought the problem was and recommended physical therapy which was scheduled moments later. Doesn't get more professional and more compassionate than this.

We did not get to see him right away but we did see his intern immediately. A few minutes later he walked in to tell us he would be back in about 10 minutes and that was the case. Today is the one year anniversary of my total knee replacement at Holy Cross hospital with Dr. Roche. My knee is great and is every bit as flexible as my other knee. I have no restrictions at all, and it is imperative that I keep active so that it doesn't stiffen up. Dr. Kevin Wang is officially my knee doctor. He is excellent and has a warm, friendly personality. What a delight compared to many orthopedists I have known over the years. The office personnel are efficient (if incredibly busy) and the nurses seem to really care about the patients. Dr Wang is excellent. He listens to your issues then responds to your questions and gives you a prognosis on what's happening to your body. He is extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk with.

Dr Wang replaced two knees and one hip for me. He is one of the best doctors l have ever had. Very clear about the procedures. Great bedside manor. Really cares about his patients. Would never use any other doctor. Wish he also operated on shoulders!!!

Dr Wang explained and demonstrated my hip surgery with a plastic model. I feel very confident that my hip surgery will be successful. He is compassionate and understanding.

Unfortunately the first visit turn out to be just a waste of time. It look to me that the Holly Cross is specialize themselves in over bearing, arrogant and autocratique surgeon, anyway there is my story, I'm suffering from my left hip, I'm active in sports, and lately I cannot run and I'm in constant pain. Today I was super excited to see Dr. Wang, I had 3 weeks old MRI made by Windsor Imaging top of the line in my hand First the front desk lady was rude, I had never been there and she kinda give me a smirk comment by not coming to the right window, then the forms.... many ask you all the same info and the info that the front lady has since she made a copy of you driver license and insurance info.. So fine no big deal, 30 mins later I'm called inside beautiful facility with all kind of prosthetic and busy place so I got all stoked up, cool I thought.. that must be the place for me, the nurse or the MA that review my papers was nice, until I said " did my doctor send you my MRI, in all cases I have a copy with me" She responded that we will need to take an X-ray anyway... I'm not a doctor but give me a break, an X-ray will show you better than an MRI ???? So I said "I do not want an X-ray" I like to use what I have now (MRI ) and see. Anyway an MRI is way better than an Xray. She responded that she will upload the MRI and will talk to the doctor about not following the protocol. The doctor comes back and telling me that to better serve me I will need a xray. (I ask how much will it cost because I had many bad experience before with unforeseen bill and I dont like surprise) He said well I dont know if I will be a good fit here, because i have to follow protocol so argument followed. My point was I do not want to pay for an Xray when I have a state of the art MRI in my hand, and for the first meeting it was completely unnecessary. At that time I had lost all trust in a doctor that tells me an Xray is better than an MRI so I said " I'm losing trust in you Doctor! he responded "trust goes both ways" Humm like I'm the one that will cut open the doctor and put a prosthesis in him???? So the doctor ask me what I wanted to do, stay or look for someone else , so I left. I hope it was just one off, the end of the day in a busy office.
