Dr. Kiumars Arfai is the rudest doctor I have ever met. And I’m a paramedic, I’ve worked with hundreds of physicians. His apathy and inability to communicate with patients is quite significant. I cancelled all future appointments at this facility and will seek pain management somewhere else.

Very favorable. I have been a patient of Dr. Arfai for many years, and have always found him to be truthful if not blunt, but kind and understanding. He agrees with the old philosophy of "Do whatever needs to be done to help a patient's pain," although he has been forced by the CDC ruling and its cruel and inhuman enforcement to cut back on prescribing safe medications which relieve chronic pain. In this he is unfortunately helpless, until we chronic pain patients revolt against government policy.

I have been Dr Arfai's patient for many years. I have never had a negative experience in this office. I found Dr Arfai to be a very kind man who listened to my experiences and opinions. I had a very bad pain problem in my back for a very long time. He spent MUCH time and diagnosed my problems and then proceeded to treat them. I have actually had 8 years with NO visits required until I reinjured my back last month. I am confident that he will determine what I did to reinjure my back and proceed with the appropriate treatment. I would call him "5-STAR GOOD". I have been Dr Arfai's patient for many years. Staff is rude. Went to the hospital 2 different times. The hospital paged the doctor. He didn’t reply. I told him and his response is “they have my number.” I do not recommend this practice. It’s a factory.

Great team and amazing Doctor. Very caring and knowledgeable. Helped my mom and I am grateful. The clinic is clean and very organized.

I am a retired registered nurse with chronic low back pain for several decades. I made no progress and suffered for years with unrelenting back, neck and hip problems, until I met Dr Arfai. I have recommended him repeatedly. He is a very kind and compassionate man. He LISTENS and he REMEMBERS what you say to him. I enjoy his subtle sense of humor. My care has required the use of epidurals and nerve blocks, RF Ablation and eventually I made it through the insurance nightmare to receive a Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator. That decision changed my life dramatically, for the better. That technology had never even been mentioned as a possible therapy for me. Dr Arfai felt that I was a good candidate for such technology. He was right on target. He is 5-STAR GOOD.

Dr Arfai doesn't listen to your concerns. He just writes a prescription most likely Opiate to help you out instead of going down to the root of the problem causing your pain. He is a fake. I saw him for three years and didn't solve any of my problems. Stay away from him.

He is very rude and don’t care about us .i never recommend him to any one.

Dr. Arfai seemed like he might be a good a doctor but between being unable to actually speak to someone in the office, get a message to the doctor or try and get any issues taken care of was impossible. The girls in the front were so confused and didn't communicate with each other that it didn't allow me to continue to see Dr. Arfai. Sadly, because of his neglectful front office, he pays for it.

I have seen Dr Arfai since almost he start at Mission Hills and now I have to make a decision to keep him or keep my personal doctor he has terminated his contract with Health care Parners and I'm so sad I saw this coming that's how good of a doctor he is now I need to find a pain management and it is hard most of the doctors dont care. I need your help Doctor Arfai to make a decision the stuff didn't tell me what to do in this case Dr Arfai is now like a family to me if you see this call me. Tx

Just don’t understand some people if you don’t like your job or unhappy you have an option CHANGE , you don’t have to sit there and mock disable person and get paid .

I saw DR about 2x. Offered pain pills and shots. Got 4 shots. Found out there's a 4 / year limit. I always saw the PA. I only saw the DR. for shots. I fell and hurt my back, saw the PA he ordered an MRI. Staff never got my results. PA said they weren't ready but they were. PA gave me more pills on my last visit then sent home. I got my CD and results myself and left. No more!

Office is too busy and overbooked. Dr. is never available for emergencies, they never EVER took my vitals and same thing on the day I ended up in the hospital where the surgeons told my husband and family I might not make it. Other than that I thought he was fine but I was urged to stop seeing him.

I've had 3 successful treatments and am now in need of a fourth. Today I've made 3 phone calls to your 'existing patient' phone number. Left a message with a callback number mid morning but no response by 2pm. Called again at 2pm and your message said your mailbox was full. Called again shortly after 5pm and could leave a 2nd message and heard that I could make an appointment online. When I tried that option the message is 'you only make appointments online for NEW patients'. NOW WHAT?

The stars are for Dr. Arfai, but not for his office staff. I had no issue with Sara, but jessica is a whole ' nother ball of wax. My PCP sends everything electronically; referrals and Rx's alike. This cretin named jessica(she does not deserve any capitalization on her name) did not have the common sense to consult her computer for a referral because I didn't have the piece of paper in my hand. Just like a monkey; incapable of abstract thinking and the ability to reason. So she then became very snotty & nasty in her attitude toward me demanding that I pay her the full price of an office visit. I had just been released from the recuperation center and had not been home yet. On top of major abdomino-thoracic Sx and a skullcracker of a headache(like a sledgehammer being repeatedly slammed onto all sides of my head), I had to deal with this little piece of porcine excrement extorting what for me is a large sum of money that the insurance would have paid for if she had checked her computer and not threatened that I could not see the doctor if I didn't give her the money. And since he was assigned to me by my PCP & the nurse practitioner, I don't have an alternative to get the right medication for my pain control without him. Yet when I attempted to make a month follow up appt., the little chochita snapped into the phone that " she didn' t MAKE ME PAY FOR THE VISIT BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE A REFERRAL. (But I did..from my primary ..and it had been in her computer for a week). And then she slammed the phone down in my ear. I have been having these headaches since I was 11 yrs old and I had to have my roommate make an appointment for me so that my voice would not be recognized by it. I love Dr. Arfai and his staff, Sara and Jessica. I have been a patient there for a few months now and have nothing but good things to say about them. People in pain (me especially) can be grumpy, irrational, and straight-up rude. But they consistently act in a courteous and professional manner. Doctor Arfai always listens to what I am saying and explains things to me in terms I can understand. It is obvious that he actually cares about his patients. I had experienced horrible treatment from a different pain management doctor and it took practically an act of Congress to get my HMO to allow me to see someone out of their network. I'm young, 26 years old, and had major back surgery (disc fusion at the L5-S1). I was scared, in pain, depressed, anxious, etc but Dr Arfai took time to hear me out and make me feel that his care of my pain was genuine. I work a demanding job as a property manager, and would have to change my schedule around often, sometimes last minute. Sara, Jessica, and all of Dr Arfai's staff have always been sweet and sympathetic, and have always tried to accommodate my requests. I know people in chronic pain can be impatient and downright mean, but they always seem to understand and try to help to the best of their abilities. With my surgery complete and my pain alleviated greatly, I'm eager to see Dr. Arfai less and less, but the time spent in his care helped me get through all of 2015. Don't waste your time with this doctor. He is totally incompetent and will not treat with any medications. He also judges you if you see other doctors for other conditions. I have several conditions and some give me meds but nothing narcotic. I didn't even want a narcotic drug. He judged me and broke his Hippocratic oath to treat the patient.

I went in with back pain I've suffered for the past 20 years, after finally, my insurance company allowing me to see a pain management specialist on Feb 1, 2016. Dr. Arfai ordered an MRI, which one of his staff member entered into the computer and got me an instant approval. She made an appointment for Feb 14, 2016. When I went in, he had the results, and before coming into the room, he had already read my MRI results and knew them without consulting the report!!! He is awesome!

The worst office one could ever encounter! I am having a problem with billing. I have been calling the office for months. They state that they don't do billing and gave me the billing contact. Billing NEVER answers the phone; Never calls back after leaving multiple voice messages. Went back to calling office which continually tells me that they have sent an email message to billing and are not getting any response. This has been going on for 6 months. This is a great doctor and his stuff is fenomenous I been going to see doctor Arfai over a year and have no problems what's of ever the doctor is very professional and he explains to you every thing he's doing if you have questions he responds to you right of way oh his stuff their the more kindness people I ever have to deal with if you need to see Dr Arfai and your appoitment is in 2 weeks they put you in right of way the next day Sara and Jessica are their names very nice young lady's I am so glad I found a good pain management Cus they are the number one here in the valley so don't way more make your 1st appoitment and experience for your self what I already have.
