In much pain, went to Pancare for a UTI where I met Dr. Chan. I sat in a chair waiting for the doctor, whom I've never met. He did not enter the room, but stood in the doorway and first words out of his mouth was, "You eat too much." Stunned, I responded,"Excuse me?" His reply, "You need to lose weight." Honestly, who does/says that when introducing yourself as a physician?" Two weeks ago, I finally got shots in my bone-on-bone arthritic knees and have gained 10 lbs from lack of inactivity from pain over the past six months of intense suffering. However, I felt no need to explain anything to him, as I knew he would look at any response as an excuse. I started tearing up and asked him why he was so insulting and insensitive. His response: "It's my job." I then said, "I came in here for an acutely painful UTI, not a weight loss consultation." He stared expression at me and responded, "Again, I tell you, my job." Weirdo!
