Kurt Richard Washburn

A friend of mind went to see Dr. Washburn because she had been experiencing occipital Pain that is debilitating from her chronic Tickborne infections (of who she is treating with one of the worlds leading Tickborne infection specialists). When Dr Washburn learned of her specialist, he start intensely insulting that doctor and saying things that are completely untrue and defamatory. Dr Washburn exhibits behaviors of impaired judgment and a complete lack of professionalism when he is asked about areas of expertise that he is unfamiliar with. It's not someone that you want caring for you when dealing with the sensitive nature of Psychiatry or Neurology.

I had the same neurologist for twenty-one years until his retirement. Eventually the neuro. associates group he was a partner of dissolved. I started seeing Dr. Washburn through default as he was the only staff (not a partner) that was not retired from the dissolved group. Initial meeting he sat facing a computer screen the entire time we talked. Two more regular visits were the same. I would not question his medical skills but based on discussions with him there was a lot of room left regarding his in depth experience with regards to multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Washburn is a terrible doctor. My elderly mother had just come off a severe head injury and he was very impatient with her. He rolled his eyes when she couldn’t answer certain questions. He was rude to us and didn’t offer any practical next steps for her care. We did not go back to him. We found a more compassionate and knowledgeable doctor and now she is thriving.

Extremely short and not interested in discussing solutions or individual breakdown of conditions. Because I have pre-existing conditions as well as conditions caused by a severe accident I was told that I had too many problems and could not be managed. Very blunt, no fellow feeling, no benevolence, just to bad , so sad , see ya later bye. He may be an extremely talented Dr. but lacks what I would consider necessary for patients who are desperate for answers to questions they themselves can’t provide. This may not be true for everyone who sees him , but he seemed very nonchalant and uncaring. Definitely a one and done for me!

I have been under Dr. Washburn's car for over 5 years. Hid communication has been clear and warm on every visit. I can name 3 other specialists in the same building that could learn from Dr. Washburn. I am a satisfied client despite what the haters are saying. I read some of the other reviews and find them totally unjustified.

I agree Dr. Washburn does have a God complex, I have worked with many Dr. I will not tolorate such an attitude. I livein this body and know bwtter what it does not him, he took an oath to Help people not belittle them or ignore them.

Honestly, he was so mean to be it was cruelty. He's got a God complex so huge he can't even be bothered with questions he doesn't think are worthy of his intellect or time. Sadly, he misses important details of the very speciality he believes himself such an expert at, or he doesn't want to be bothered looking for real tests or new treatments when a problem isn't easily fixed. I've worked hard to establish a doctor patient relationship, but he's failed me terribly as a physician.

This man should not be allowed to practice medicine. He lacks in all empathy and compassion. He’s ego is such that he refuses and resents referrals to other physicians, much less other hospital systems. His narrow minded neuro practice solely relies on one clinical expertise of migraines, although, he states having knowledge of all neurological disorders. I'm surprised at all the negative feedback. I'll admit Dr. Washburn is not much of a conversationalist but he listens to me and works to help with my issues. Each time I visit I am impressed with their record keeping and how his notes document my past visits. Both my adult children also see Dr. Washburn and have good experiences. Sadly I think this forum is like most and only disgruntled folks and satisfied customers rarely take the time to post.

I too have had horrible experiences with Dr. Washburn and stayed with him way too long as a doctor. He never listened or explored any other ideas when it was clear his treatment plan was not working for me. In the 2 years I was his patient he never ordered a MRI. I finally got fed up with him and went for a second opinion. That doctor immediately recognized my symptoms as MS a MRI confirmed that diagnosis. Glad I didn't wait any longer for Dr. Washburn to diagnose me.

Terrible communications and record keeping. On April 2016 I had an EEG performed. Since then I've moved out of state and I requested my records for my new Doctor. After about a dozen messages and talking to several employees, I was told that my EEG readings were archived and no longer accesible. Actually deleted not archived. I paid $700 out of pocket to have the EEG performed. Those are my records and should have been given to me or held in storage.

After our first appt and last appt with Dr Washburn, I can honestly say he is THE most arrogant and unprofessional physician I've met. No compassion for a young woman struggling with many health issues. Instead, he made her feel less of a person for all she is struggling with. The practice needs to drop him!!

Dr. Washburn is the most arrogant non caring physician I have ever seen and I have seen many. Dr. Washburn went so far as to make personal statements judging me negatively. After I had explained the reason for my visit and asked if he could help me Dr. Washburn respond "No I can not help you, why are you here to see me, what is it that you expect me to do for you", I mean wow, what physician says this to a patient? What physician makes personal comments negatively judging you? Never see him!

I had the same experience the previous two posters had. I actually had to stick up for myself because his behavior was so unacceptable. I told him exactly how I felt about his condescending attitude. Pray you don't have a question for him. He will tell you flat out what an idiot he thinks you are. Well if he can be nasty and disrespectfull towards me, well then I have the right to tell him what I think about his behavior. And that I did. I hope that my words today sink into his unempathtic soul.

Dr. Washburn has to be the rudest, non-empathetic, sarcastic doctor I've ever seen in my life. I've seen him on several occasions now and I thought maybe it was just me. He interrupts you before you can answer a question, if he doesn't understand other issues besides what you're coming to him for he gets smart. My theory is for any doctor if another specialty is out of your scope then it's up to that doctor to at least research it. A doctor should never say I don't understand, who does that?

Wow is all I can say. It really seems like Dr. Washburn hates his job. He was very condescending to us as if he was compensating for not having any answers. Had no answers so he became jerky. For specialist, I would think he should know his job, or at least the basics. Very disappointed in his interaction with us. Just plain RUDE!
