Dr. Girod is an excellent physician. I have been a patient of his for many years. My pain has decrease tremendously.

I was very satisfied with Dr. Girod. He was thorough and explained everything as needed.

Been seeing him for awhile now he has given me injections for my back and they last for about a yr which is good. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Have been seeing Dr. Girod for approximately 14 years now. My first back surgery was very successful at that time and I was pain free when I woke up from the surgery. It lasted 12 years and probably could have lasted much longer had I not kept abusing my back and doing things I should not have been doing like picking up large logs and turning and placing them on my wood splitter. That is when I re-injured my back. Dr. Girod performed a second surgery 1 1/2 years ago. This one didn’t go as well as the first one but Dr. Girod is working with me to follow up with different treatment methods to assure the best possible outcome.

Wonderful

Friendly staff courtesy and very efficient

I was in pain and needed to see him and they worked me in like always!

Dr. Girod is the best dr. anyone could ask for. He answers all your questions and he takes the time or does what it takes to find out why you have the pain you have. I have been with dr. Girod over 10 years. I have recieved nothing but the best care from him and his staff.

My wife had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Girod to discuss implantation of a spinal stimulator to ameliorate severe and incapacitating lumbar and leg nerve pain. She and I were happy and relieved when Dr. Girod and his assistant, Faiz, addressed for us in a comfortable, understandable way all of our concerns regarding the procedure, the preparation for it, and the expected post-operative course. We feel confident in their care.

A pleasure meeting and talking with Dr. Girod. He shared so much information with me regarding my issues and put my mind at ease for my healing and recovery.

Although I find they run a bit late for scheduled appointments, however once being seen, never rushed and very attentive. I am grateful for the amazing care I have received with Dr. Girod and associates.

Dr. Kyle Girod did my Neck surgery December 20, 2007 and I never have had a problem since until I hurt my back after Hurricane Ida I fell down my Steps and went down them on my back I put it off that I had Kidney stones but when my legs started going numb I got worried and was referred to go see Dr. Kyle Girod once again... A competent physician, but never on time... average wait is 45 to 60 minutes after scheduled appointment time. His staff never communicates, returns calls or offer any customer service at all. They are the most frustrating group I have ever had to deal with. The quality of care is great, but the absolute horrible staff communication and poor treatment of patients is not worth the quality of care.

While service and care from the doctors has continued to be excellent the wait time for appointments has become unbelievable. I had an appointment last week in the afternoon and arrived 15 minutes early like they ask you to do you can process the paperwork. After being there 1 hour and 15 minutes I asked how much longer would it be and was told that there were still 5 people ahead of me waiting for x-rays. I told the receptionist to reschedule me and got an appointment for the following week in the morning time. Again I showed up 15 minutes early and processed the paperwork. After waiting 45 minutes I was called to the back and took x-rays and placed in a room. It was then another 30 minutes before the doctor arrived. I was very frustrated by this time and let the doctor know. They apologized and were unaware. Something needs to change. People’s time is just as important as the doctors time. After a training accident and failed back surgery while in the Marine corps I've been living in pain since 1985, life held no joy. Then this past March I developed cauda equina syndrome and was rushed to the hospital. I was fortunate the emergency room physician called Dr. Girod at 2am , he gets out of bed comes in and talks to me and I was in surgery at 9. Dr. Girod and Mary Beth are amazing ????. They treat you like family there and listens to all your concerns. After my 2nd appointment with him we knew that I needed a spinal fusion on my lower spine level L4-L5. I had the surgery 2 months ago and I feel amazing. The doctors were shocked at how fast I was progressing. But I still have to take my time because it's not healed on the inside. I need neck surgery but that will come later. I had back surgery in October and neck surgery February, I took a drug test and failed because of marijuana so Girod decided he would stop my medication. Thing is you suffer from withdrawals and Girod will not prescribe anything to help. My body is knotted up, I keep throwing up, serious diarrhea , I’m hot and I’m cold. Marijuana helps with the pain but I’m suffering. Oh my god , somebody help me! Girod just throws you to the wolves. Dr. Kyle and his staff literally saved my neck. Had a ruptured (totally degenerated) disc. Fixed! No more numb fingers or jaw popping/clicking. Thank you Dr. Girod!

I like Dr Girod. He is extremely knowledgeable on spinal issues and presents his analysis of my condition in a direct manner. He gives me treatment options and then helps me decide on the path forward. On top of that, he's pleasant to talk with during the appointment.

Dr. Girod was extremely thorough. He and his staff asked me questions about my problem, checked the trouble spots, compared my current X-rays with past ones to check for the changes, answered my questions fully, and outlined with me a plan of treatment. We went with an initial conservative approach but planned for a further approach if this first one did not help. Dr. Girod also set up a timed check-up to measure progress after this initial plan. What more could you ask for? (He & staff were also extremely pleasant, positive, & competent.)

Best dr. one could find. Very thorough, friendly and answers all questions. His reputation from hospital staff is high, they think well of him. I have had a fusion and i can do anything i want 10 years later. He takes his time to explain and answer all questions.

Dr. Girod and Mary Beth have been good to me. 5 years they have helped me. I had spinal fusion surgery last July and everything went well. 5 months now and almost back. They were straight forward and never pressured me to have the surgery. I would recommend Dr Girod.

He was very thorough during my visit which I appreciated! Friendly, talkative (unusual for a doctor) but pleasant. His assistant was also sweet and encouraging to have as another confirmation of the next steps to take in treatment. Besides the unexpected wait time and broken ex ray machine, overall a good experience! And well I also found the saying “it’s a small world” to be at work in my visit as well! Lol!

The only issue I’ve had, consistently, is you will not get a staff member to answer the office phone. I’ve had to call more than 10 times and each time I’ve gotten a voice mail. Most of the return calls I have received were the following day.

Dr. Girod is the best! Lovable, concerned doctor. I would recommend him to anybody needing back surgery. This man is with you when you cry and will laugh with you when you need a laugh. You won’t find anyone better! Everyone in his office will go the extra mile for you.

I had 2 prior back surgeries first one was semi-better second one became worse and almost unwalkable. Ended up at another doctors office saying that the problem was in the sacrum. But as it turned out he would not be able to do the surgery he referred me to Dr. Kyle Girod. We made appointment to see Dr. Girod and the interview we figured out that Dr. Girod said my problem was not in the psych room it was actually definitely in my back. We took his advice and I had the surgery I am doing great I can ride my horses I can take care of my cattle I can do things that I was nowhere able to do prior. As of 28 August I was one year out of surgery. I am doing great thanks to Dr Kyle Girod his PA Mrs Mary Beth and his wonderful and courteous staff of nurses and Techs. Dr. Girod was thorough, well mannered, friendly, funny, caring, considerate and extremely helpful. My first visit he listened to everything I said. His office was fantastic at rescheduling my MRI when I became claustrophobic. My 2nd visit, he answered every questions and addressed every concern. With the current pandemic making surgeries and steroid injections next to impossible, he worked with me to find ways to manage my pain and informed me of what symptoms would mean my condition was deteriorating. He is a Doctor who will put your faith back into those practice of medicine. Every Dr I have seen at Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic over the years has been wonderful and he follows suit. I am sure that his friends and family are grateful for him as there is no doubt his patients are.
