Dr. L. Douglas Waggoner JR.

When I first became Dr. Waggoner's patient, I thought I'd hit the jackpot. Not only did he seem like a really nice guy, but he came across as both highly competent and concerned about me as a patient and as a person. But that was only when I saw him at a scheduled appointment. When I called his office for guidance in relation to a sudden new heart -related issue requiring quick action, however, the story was completely different. Not only was his staff impatient and unhelpful. but when I finally got through to him, he was plain rude, and he didn't even try to resolve my issue. It was clear to me that his friendly manner was a ruse, that I was not a valued patient, and that perhaps he was not as competent as I originally thought.

Dr Waggoner and his staff are always pleasant and make you fell comfortable. They listen well and inform you about what they are going to do and what to expect. Will always be my cardiology provider choice.

Dr. Waggoner stands out comparing to other doctors I had in the past. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Waggoner is wonderfully thorough, a great listener, and up-to-date on the latest methods and research. He's a great physician!

I have been a patient of Dr. Waggoner's for 10 years and my most recent visit with him was on April 9, 2018. He is the most personable physician I have ever met. He answers questions completely and always appears to have more than enough time for all ones questions. I would recommend Dr. Waggoner to anyone looking for a cardiologist.

I would like to say my visit with Dr. Waggoner was outstanding all the way from the beginning and on on duction and through the testing for my aorta all was excellent. I feel that the visit with Dr. Waggoner and his staff was the best it could possibly be,

Very kind. Took his time with me and answered any and all questions/concerns. Didn't make me feel like I was on an assembly line or he was trying to get me out of there ASAP. I would recommend to anyone with heart problems.

Dr Waggoner was thorough in his evaluation and in explaining my options for a new blood thinner, as I wanted to change to one that did not require frequent monitoring. This was my third visit and as usual, he took all the time needed and was unhurried.

Dr Waggoner is the cardiologist for both myself and my husband ( Danny Christensen) He really listens to you. We never feel like his attention is elsewhere. We never feel rushed and believe he is truly interested in us as a person, not just a patient.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Waggoner on January 31, 2017. He is very knowledgeable and thorough with his examination. He is an understanding, kind, caring and courteous doctor and I am a grateful patient. My heart, lung and I give him a big thank you!

Warm and welcoming personality. Is genuinely interested in his patients' well being. Makes it easy to discuss issues and concerns.

Dr Waggoner is friendly, professional, and has given good guidance. He has referred to other very skilled specialists when needed. I appreciate the quick and easy access, by telephone, to his nurse for advice or assurance in situations that are new to me. I appreciated the immediate consult with our GP in relation to an associated health problem. I have confidence in Dr. Waggoner.

From greeting to exit, Dr. Waggoner was an active listener and probative inquirer. Since I didn't 'get' the nature of my heart issues, he used a diagram to explain aspects I'd been unable to grasp. I felt comfortable enough to share my concerns about the effect some of my meds had on me, and my angst about others suggested by another doctor. Dr. Waggoner listened respectfully, gave me his opinion, but was not dismissive of my concerns. I will check with him if I have further concerns or changes.

Dr. Waggoner has an excellent rapport with his patients. He is very intelligent and following the visit, the patient is left with the feeling that he/she is under the watchful eyes of THE BEST!
