Dr. Lance A. Roy

In our 1st meeting he was rude and sarcastic, because I transferred pain clinics/doctors which apparently was his college friend (how was I suppose to know). Then passed off to his rude NP. He needs better bedside training.

Poor and apathetic! I was referred by Duke Otho and didn’t check reviews. Didn’t read my chart prior to Virtual visit, I needed a bridge to get through till my knee surgery in July and he has me as needing Chonic opioid management! Dr Roy listen and read the chart! His nurse was just as rude when questioned what’s the plan! I am a retired PACU nurse and do not recommend the office! Go to Emerge Ortho!

So I understand, you're a anesthesiologist? You have your own practice. My wife's migraine hurts so much I have to hold a ice pack on her head sometimes at night. She cries silently as tears roll down her face yet she can't call anyone to help her. Her neurologist is Dr Collins and he is as arrogant as you are.Trust me, holding a bag of ice on the head of a loved on while they hold back tears from pain is heartbreaking! Dr Roy is BEST pain management doctor ever! It's true that he could be a little difficult to get an appointment with, but thats only because he is just that terrific! De Roy is definitely worth the wait!!!!!

Dr. Roy has a really good bedside manner, he listened to me, didn’t rush me, he legitimately seemed concerned about the chronic pain that I am suffering with and he seemed to really want to help me with my pain. I have been to other doctors who didn’t seem to care about me and why I was there at all.

I visited Dr. Roy after years of chronic neck and associated head pain. Dr. Roy and his staff were professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Previous physicians have discounted my symptoms. My husband, who is a physician, kept telling me to find someone who knew what they were doing because he believed my problem was more severe than indicated by other physicians. He accompanied me to my visit and was impressed with the quality of care provided as well as the accuracy of the diagnosis and recommended treatment. After visiting Dr. Roy, I was extremely relieved to learn that there was a biologic reason for the symptoms I was experiencing and a plan to alleviate the associated pain. I highly recommend him.

Dr Roy spoke very loudly to me, seemed to be in a very big hurry, and showed absolutely no empathy towards me. I would never recommend him as a “pain specialist” due to his lack of caring or being able to offer any options for my chronic pain.

Visited for severe, chronic pain. Treated me like a customer at a Used Car lot. Horrible bedside manners. He spent a total of 10 minutes with me, 5 of which I needed to explain why I was there. You would think he would have done some upfront work to understand my condition. He then gave me a bunch of product pamphlets on different brands of spinal implants. 10 minutes and then "pushed" a spinal implant?
