Dr. Lascelles Pinnock

Dr. Pinnock is extremely through and his bedside(office side) manner is awesome. He takes the time to speak to you about your problems and he give you the needed tests to offer you the solutions to your illness.

On 3-22-22 I had an appt. At this OFFICE. The staff did not take the tempature of ANY patients. I sat in the waiting room from 140PM till 230PM. Then I SAT in the exam room for another 20mins.The female Doctor was not wearing GLOVES and neither was the nurse holding a camera with a plastic tube to insert up my nose. And DOWN my throat TO take pics of my swallon vocal cords. I refused treatment. The Doctor walked out with the nurse and I SAT in the exam room for 15minis before the office supervisor came and said I would still be CHARGE for an office visit for refusing treatment. I said your office is not following COVID PRODICAL and she , Patricia Dunkan said she just got OVER COVID. I could not get out of the office QUICK enough.THIS WAS THE ONLY DOCTOR'S OFFICE I HAVE ENTERED IN THE LAST 2 YRS THAT DID NOT TAKE PATIENTS TEMP. BLOOD PRESSURE AND WEIGHT. My ears were extremely impacted with wax which has been a longstanding but increasingly worse problem and more than one General Practitioner/Internist has not been able to successfully remove it, sometimes even unintentionally making it worse. After coming here my ears are clearer of wax than they have ever been in my life and it didn't hurt one bit. The tools used were very modern progressive ones I have never seen before. I left the office without one bit of wax in them and my hearing is completely restored to its potential. I'm very grateful.

Bad experience If I could give a zero I would. I went there and they did not follow CDC guidelines. It was overly crowded. I waited an hour in my car and when I went in to see how many were still in the lobby. To my surprise one person had gone in another was in their place. I left and called my ins. I had a balloon dilation procedure done with my sinuses drained/emptied in 2017. I haven’t had a sinus infection since. He knew exactly what was wrong and picked the perfect procedure to help. Having ear issues since February 29, 2020 Contacted Dr Pinnock office was given appt with his assistant. He didn't do or prescribe anything for my clogged ears. They told us it would be about an 1.5 hours, and I waited for 4 hours. When they came out to get me, they told me my husband was awake. He was not, they literally just pulled him out of surgery and I was recovering him as he started waking up. Which included me being told I need to hold his arms down (it's normal for things waking up from anesthesia to go through and "excitable" phase and be very active, incoherent, and have no idea what's going on and it lasts about 20 minutes). I did not need to be the person to hold my husband down and literally have him fight me as he went through the stages of waking up. They went over discharge instructions with me as I am holding him down and I asked if they also had these written down. The nurse looked at me like I was drugs and then replied no we don't write things down. I mean there are a lot of diet restrictions we didn't know about that would be nice if they were written down, but thats expecting too much. As he woke up and finally sat up, I literally picked off 3 pieces of flesh and bone that was stuck to his back and the bed. Medication wise, they gave me scripts to fill and wouldn't call them in for us to save me a trip (it's just him and I and someone has to watch him). I didnt have to wait a really long time. Didnt see the doctor, but the NP Brian. I was happy with how things went. Everyone there seemed nice. They asked questions and told me what I needed to do. Looked clean.

I've NEVER had such a professional, compassionate Dr as Dr. Pinnock! He cares so much about his patients and staff!! Do not go to this doctor. If you have an issue with surgery they will tell you to go the emergency room instead of the doctor that did your surgery. And they are rude.

Extremely disappointed in the care and communication here. I waited weeks to get in with the doctors for my appointment to last 15 minutes, of which he was talking at me and prescribing me everything he could think of. I would go anywhere but here if you could.

Worst Doctor ever. Unfriendly, rude, and misdiagnosed me. The staff absolutely broke Hippa laws. The doctor billed me for services he didnt do. I saw him a number of years ago so its too late for me to report him and the staff to the licensing boards and to the insurance company for fraud. Its an assembly line. Called here to see if they do a deep wax removal, was told yes. Get there and the practicioner was the only one on sight. She looks in my ears and tells me I may need hearing aids down the road. That was all.

He's an awful doctor. I waited almost 3 hours to see him the first time. They took patients out of order. The office staff are rude but i dont blame them because people are upset at having to wait so long. Professionalism is not what you would get from this doctor. I had a deviated septum surgery performed by Dr. Pinnock in his office. I informed the staff that I didn't trust the person assigned to putting me to sleep. He seemed too nervous. During the procedure I had awaken to a lot of pain. Instead of apologizing Dr. Pinnock told me that because of my weight and sleep apnea that only a certain amount of anesthesia could be used. I'm sure that Dr. Pinnock has had experiences with people bigger than me with similar medical conditions. Staff is completely disrespectful, I have sat in the lobby on numerous occasions and the way they talk to their patients is just rude. Also, the wait time is Atleast 1-2 hours. They overbook themselves, when you finally get in to see the doctor, you will wait even longer, and after all that waiting he will spend 2-5 minutes with you then rush over to another patient and send you on your way. I don't understand all of the awful reviews here. I have been going for about 6 weeks now. First visit was a nice nurse practitioner that was cool and gentle, found out I have a deviated septum. I waited only 20 minutes or so in the waiting room. I went back the next week for my allergy test and the nurse was very kind when I freaked out seeing all the viles and needles. She was not pushy and gave me a minute to calm down. I had a CT scan the next week, the week after I saw the doctor and he recommended the surgery but I am waiting 6 months to let the allergy shots do their thing. They did not pressure me to have it after my decision. The doc was a little quick, I will agree with that, seemed like a bit of a whirlwind when he was in and out but I spoke to one of the nurses yesterday and she said he's just a go go type of person. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to get in for my shots weekly and they are closed next week because he is taking his entire staff to Jamaica for a holiday. Sure you may have to wait an 60 to 90 minutes to see him but, the good doctor knows his business. He was able to diagnose me in less than two minutes. Three other doctors prior to him could not. Thank you Dr. Pinnock for giving me hope that my daily pain will stop.

I used to go to him back when he was at DMC and stumbled on this in pursuit of looking for him. I came in for a consultation and found myself getting a procedure I never agreed to. First: this person stuck needle nose pliers up my nostril and caused a tear in my nostril which in turn caused it to bleed. She then injected some compressed air into my nostril causing what I think was a chemical needed to examine my cavity. For the next 2 weeks I had a clot that was so hard and so painful, I could barely sleep. They charged $800. Awful treatment and a ridiculous amount charged.

I can’t believe he’s still in practice. 11 yrs ago when I was in 8th grade I had a gland issue. He had me coming in weekly with no conclusion or help. This went for months as if he just wanted our money weekly only to tell us there’s still no conclusion. I’m so glad I found a different doctor who truly took initiative and solved the problem. I was referred to Dr. Pinnock by my PCP, who spoke very highly of him. I live and see Dr. Pinhook in Southfield, but get my shots in Allen Park. Giving one star because I was forced to before leaving a review. Nothing good to say at this time about the office staff. Shannon made my 17 year old uncomfortable and anxious in the office because she was treated disrespectful and the doc joined in while laughing and making gestures at my upset daughter. Amazing Doctor. I've been a patient since I was 5 years old. True the wait is long but definitely worth it. He's the best!!!

I am so surprised by all these negative reviews. My experience has been quite the opposite. I will say the wait is a bit long but I expected that being he's a specialist and a great one at that. Most doctors I've been to have a decent wait time so I always come prepared to wait. As far as the staff, I have nothing but good things to say. They are always so welcoming and warm. It's nice going into an office and seeing the staff get along and joke, makes for pleasant visit. I've never had an issue with any one of them. I've called on several occasions and they always promptly help me with my concerns in a professional but friendly manner. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. They would avoid talking to you because they couldnt explain the wait. I had to reschedule because of the wait and they told me to take tje earliest appt in the day for no wait. Lied doesn’t do surgery out of any oak wood or Beaumont hospitals. After being told and having a camera put in my nostrils then told surgery at harper Or providence hospital. Those are 20-30 Miles from me. I was told to find another doctor and billed$330 .the wesites and receptionist are Lying and I’m getting billed! Stay far away!

Absolutely horrible. You do have to wait a minimum of an hour/hour and a half, and then when you finally get called back the staff treat you terribly. I'm extremely irritated. You will wait 2 hours beyond your scheduled appointment time. Another kind adult mother and daughter duo waited two hours and then simply walked off. They asked the receptionist what was wrong. The staff said, it was always like this. The daughter asked why they don't simply adjust their scheduling practices, the staff had no response. I apologized to these women on the Doctor's behalf. Expect to wait at minimum 1.5 hours for service every single time you have to see Pinnock, even if his office is the one that selected the time. Then expect a hasty 5-8 minute perfunctory examination because he always seems like he is in a giant hurry. Went to him for about two years because it's a giant hassle and financial burden to switch both allergists and ENTs; having them both in the same office is very convenient, but pinnock's office manager is a tyrant and half of the staff here couldn't care less about the patients. I have on multiple occasions heard them gossip disparagingly about patients. Very unprofessional. When they found out I wrote a negative review online, they didn't apologize or ask me what went wrong. Instead, the manager called me and said she was dropping me as a patient AND that waiting 1.5-2hours every time I had to see Pinnock was routine and acceptable at any good doctors office and that I should feel lucky to be his patient. As a person with friends who work in good doctor's offices, and as a patient of many excellent doctors myself-- including specialists-- I can assure you this isn't the case. This is a sign of arrogance and overbooking by the office staff. As a side note, before telling me they were dropping me as a patient, they did make sure to charge me in full for my allergy serum, which they refuse to transfer to my new doctor and still haven't agreed to refund. In addition, after two years, I finally had scheduled two procedures that I have needed, which will now have to wait. Also, when I asked them for records from having a scope done, which are required by law, they refused to give some of them to me (because, I assume, they are lazy and didn't want to be bothered for whatever reason with making a DVD copy) for weeks, stating that they didn't keep such records, until I told them I wouldn't pay unless they gave them to me. Then, miraculously, the DVD record existed and appeared, after another very very very long wait. There are some new people in the office that are nice, but as a whole, this office really doesn't seem to care about its patients. And, the allergists in the office across the hall are great and friendly, however, and don't waste your time. But you have to go through Pinnock to see them and get your shots. Don't go here unless you unless you lack self respect and seek invalidation of your self worth. Dr. Stackler is an amazing doctor. Has a sense of humor but also shows that he's care for his patients. I recently had my ears tested and tubes put in by Dr. Stackler, I am so happy that I can hear normally now. The staff is friendly, yes there are wait times, but honestly what doctors office does not have them? I recommend this business and will definitely continue to use them as my ENT. Thank you DR. S! Exceptional Doctor and Surgeon. My family has been seeing Dr.Pinnock for 30+ years since my kids were infants. There is a wait both for getting an appointment and to see the Doctor when you get there. I do understand that as he is a Specialty Physician and Surgeon so this is typical but so worth it. I will never go elsewhere and hate to think of the day Pinnock retires.

Waited 2 months for an appointment and when we got there they said insurance isn't accepted. I checked and they are listed with my insurance. Horrible place. BEWARE.

Unfortunately did not get the chance to visit this dr. Made the appt. a month ago - they called yesterday to confirm the appt. - then they called today to say his insurance isn't accepted! The person who left us the nasty & rude message & was twice as rude when my husband called back (Cindy) should not be working with the public if you have no patience!! When an appt. is made for a new patient, shouldn't you find out then if the insurance is accepted or not??!!! horrible service!

went to a few ear, nose, throat doctors all blamed allergies and sonuses. dr pinnock only one food more investigation and discovered i was leaking csf fluid. he referred me too a surgeon. between the two they saved my life.

He's the best!! Has now done procedures on 3 of my family members successfully. Nice, but somewhat shy personality. High tech equipment in the office which can detect things the regular Dr's. cannot. He's wonderful.

Dr. Pinnock Is a wonderful and caring Dr. he has seen me many times as well as my son and i would highly recommend him

Very knowledgeable, well experienced. Knew exactly what I needed just by me talking before I opened my mouth for him. Up look my throat
