Dr. Lauren E Geaney

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Geaney for two operations on my feet. I had bilateral bunionettes. She explains the treatments extremely well and doesn’t belittle her patients. Unfortunately I have moved out of the area, but if I need any foot or ankle surgery in the future, I would be more than willing to drive back to Connecticut just to see her!

I found Dr. Geaney to be very knowledgeable and accommodating. She recently repaired my broken ankle. From my first visit (consultation) with her, I was impressed that she knew my history and reviewed my chart before she walked in. Very impressive!

Last year I started this journey to repair bilateral bunionettes. I had no idea where to turn and when checking with my insurance I was directed to Dr. Geaney’s office. I got an appointment within a week for my consult and before I left the exam room we had a wonderful surgical plan. She was able to fix both feet and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Her bedside manner is amazing and I would highly recommend her to a go w that is having foot or ankle problems.

Dr. Geaney is as good as a Doctor/person gets. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable. I transferred from another doctor who was less than satisfactory. She performed surgery on my ankle and it was super smooth and well handled. She is also warm, human, and is a wonderful person to interact with. You can tell that her staff like her as well. This is the first time I have rated a doctor although I have encountered other very good ones as well. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Geaney has been approachable, thorough, thoughtful, and kind. Her team was very helpful and made the day of surgery easy and low stress!

Wonderful human being, skilled surgeon. Treats patients respectfully. My husband and I were very impressed and felt confident having my foot surgery with Dr. Geaney. I was well informed, and prepared for the long recovery. My pain has been eleviated, my surgery was successful and I have my quality of life back. Dr. Geaney was recommended to me and from my first visit, she connected with me and wasted no time laying out my options, short and long term. Just as predicted, after 3 steroid injections to alleviate pain (over 15 months), I opted for surgery and a new implant that would allow me to forego a fusion. The outpatient surgical team were OUTSTANDING across the board. Following post-op instructions, within mere days of surgery, I had no pain and was fully weight-bearing with stitches out in 9 days.

I've had two bunionectomies with Dr. Geaney, one on each foot. I was advised against surgery by other MD's because of my foot structure, thinking they would likely return. I was referred to Dr. Geaney when they became more painful. She was able to do the procedures with confidence they wouldn't return, at least to the same degree they were. I was impressed by her on many levels. Dr. Geaney is not only really smart, she is also kind with a healthy sense of humor. I would highly recommend her

Dr. Geaney is an excellent doctor! Not only is she very good at fixing ankle and foot problems, she also takes the time to get to know her patients and work out "a plan" with them that is in everyone's best interest. If surgery is required, she thinks about the things you would need to get through the surgery, and after the surgery she talks to whomever is with the patient, and also assesses and talks to you before you leave the recovery room. There are not many caring and compassionate doctors!

After a fall I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Geaney very quickly. Aside from the injury she was awesome. She explained everything in great detail, answered every question I had and was very personable. I would highly recommend her and her staff.

I was treated with the utmost professionalism by Dr. Geaney and her staff. She takes the time explaining the procedure as well as the post operative time it will take to heal and reach certain milestones. She is pleasant, calming and reassuring when necessary and most important is an advocate for her patients.
