Dr. Lawrence F Schrader

Been 10 years since partial knee done by Dr. Schrader and at 87 I am alone with no supporter at home. I had no hospital stay, no pain and no complications as he promised. At my age, I rely on 3 steroid shots yearly given by my local D.O. and couldn’t be happier with my knee replacement. Give this gentleman a try if you want results.

First visit and I'm impressed. Everyone was kind and the doctor was polite and attentive to my pain.

I came to see Dr. Schrader about my severe case of TMJ. At the time, I was unable to eat without extreme pain and was looking at surgery to try and correct the problem. Dr. Schrader was able to use the stem cell therapy they do onsite to help with this condition. I was feeling some improvement before I left from the procedure, and this improvement continued for the next month. 3 years later I am still pain free with my TMJ. I had a partial knee replacement in Dec. Prior to scheduling this I had a dental cleaning scheduled the day before thanksgiving. I canceled it and thought I would get it done while I was off for recovery. No one told me I would have to wait 4-6 months to get my teeth cleaned. So 6 months later I scheduled my dental cleaning with a new dentist. Per Dr. orders they have to call me in antibiotics prior to cleaning. because this is a new dentist and they have not seen me yet therefore I am not an official patient of record they can't call in my antibiotics. So they said called the orthopedics and have them call it in. Dr. Schrader's office refused to. Said it was the dentist job, didn't matter I was their patient. The office personnel was rude and wanted to argue with me that it wasn't their job to call in my antibiotics and Dr. Schrader would not call it in. I guess they got their money and moved on, so much for patient aftercare.

dr Schrader is professional, personable an excellent knee surgeon!

As an athlete and an active coach, at the age of 39, I must say the treatments given to me by Dr. Schrader in his staff continue to work 4 years later. I plan to visit soon to see new options available for my joints.

I would give Dr Schrader, his wife Kathy and all his staff 2 billion stars for the professionalism, caring and help they have given me over the last two years. I went to Dr. Schrader, self pay paying 375.00, for knee pain and swelling and because I couldn't straighten my knee completely. I sat in the waiting room for nearly an hour and a half then after called back and taking 2 xrays I waited another hour at least. When he finally came in he did NOT do a knee exam. He never even touched my knee. He went over how gel shots were not effective and said judging from xrays surgery is not needed. He ended up giving me what he termed "a 10 dollar cortisone shot" and said when the shot wears off to just simply call him and they would work me in to give me another shot. I called and the nurse told me to get that shot would be 250.00!!! I later went to my own doctor who heard me tell this story and he said he did the shots and I'd just have to pay 35.00, again self pay! I just finished watching a few videos of orthopedic doctors doing knee exams and realize now that I was just duped. Great doctor and great office staff!

Dr. Schrader and his team took care of a bill that had been sent to my house notifying that they were not in network with my insurance company. They apologized to me after realizing that they had confirmed to me otherwise before being diagnosed/seen and I did not have to pay anything. I believe that this is the best way to run a practice as patients are more likely to refer other patients. Dr. Schrader is an elite doctor (read about his accomplishments and you'll see). They apologized to me after realizing that they had confirmed to me otherwise before being diagnosed and I did not have to pay anything. Dr. Schrader really cares about his patients and I am well pleased with the care he gives.

I am very pleased with the 2 partial knee replacements he did for me. My recovery time was minimal.

I would never recommend Dr. Schrader to anyone. He did a knee surgery for my grandfather and ended up having to do another one because the knee was infected. Now the knee is infected again and he is refusing to do another one calling it an unfortunate circumstance. In the meantime my grandfather is sitting in the hospital unable to walk and no one else will touch him after Dr. Schrader operated on him.
