About Dr. Lawrence Scott Wilner
Reviews for Dr. Lawrence Scott Wilner
AVOID AT ALL COST! The worst staff I have EVER encountered in a doctor's office. Where do I start? I should have left the moment Dr. Wilner was HAPPY to give me a script for Percocet when I was actually requesting PT. I had to argue with him that it was necessary (I have a very physical job) and I did not want to continue taking an extremely addictive substance because he insisted my 7 broken ribs and dislocated shoulder would heal just fine without PT. The office manager is the worst! Completely unreliable and incompetent. When I had COVID, the first time, I called ahead, so she knew, yet when I arrived she just told me to sit down in the waiting room with everyone else (Protocol it to be taken back immediately) The 2nd time I had COVID, I didn't go in, and THEY FORGOT TO CALL IN MY PAXLOVID, which I am high risk. I had to call my specialist. The final straw was the monthly fight to get my mental health medication refilled. I finally got sick of the game and kept calling until they called it in. Dr. Wilner spoke to me like I was a child and said "I won't reward that behavior by filling your request" (referring to the repeated calls to the office) WHAT THE F!! I was stunned he would say that. He even tried to guilt me by saying "We are so busy and understaffed and now you just took up 5 minutes of my time" FROM A DOCTOR, this is beyond unacceptable. Hey Doc, Maybe stop taking so many vacations with your Trump loving friends (He also told me about them) and focus on your failing business. YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. Your staff does not care about the welfare of their patients. The only reason he will defend his staff is because he can't keep anyone!! The only good staff I've worked with has left.
Lawrence Wilner is a DO not a MD! I followed him from Castle Pines urgent care to Summit primary which was a big mistake! He used to be a full-time doctor that cared about his patients now it just seems like he is working part time as a hobby! At first the office and the care seen pretty good until I needed referrals for a specialist and then he acted like the problems I was having were not serious even after several tests that showed there are yes problems that need to be addressed. It made me feel like he was not going to make referrals even if it meant the health of a patient. And also his attitude has changed with regards to even a regular physical to the point that he doesn't really look at things that could be a problem and that's what a physical is for I think. I have been trying to get a referral to a specialist for a month and I still keep getting the runaround from the office. Things like "oh we sent it" which has happened five times now and the specialist has not received anything from them. As far as other reviews go he might look like he is taking care of your health but in my case not so much. And though appearance of a good bedside manner and professional appearance does not make one a great primary Health provider or the one that knows more than a specialist. I am really disappointed in this practice!!
Dr. Wilner has been my primary care physician for over 30 years, so my high rating is not based on a one time experience but on a lifetime of the highest quality of health-care.

Absolutely horrible. Don't be fooled by the 4-star Google review average like I was, the bad reviews were all accurate with my experience and there's no way they are actually earning 4 stars with how ridiculously bad this office is. ---Prescriptions never filled on time (if they're even ordered in the first place - still waiting on one 2 months after my appointment). ---They never answer the phone and take at least a week to call you back, so you're stuck even longer without your needed medication. ---I was turned away for my first appointment because I scheduled through ZocDoc and apparently the office just ignored it without telling me. I got confirmation emails when I booked it and received no notification that the office actually didn't book my appointment so I didn't find out until I was at the office 10 minutes before my appointment. I know that being disorganized and having poor customer service is pretty common these days, but it's absolutely ridiculous when your doctor, that has your health in their hands, is the worst experience you've ever had with a business.

always friendly and great problem solver if needed
This review is not directed toward any of the practitioners. I'm sure they are great, however, the scheduling system of this place is absolutely awful. I tried scheduling an appointment online though this app called "Zoodoc," and after going through MULTIPLE steps on the app, I received an email to call the office to confirm my appointment. I tried calling multiple times while they were open and no answer. I show up for my "8AM appointment" this morning, and the receptionist told me that "Zoodoc" doesn't confirm appointments fully online and you have to call, which I tried doing, like I had already mentioned. The receptionist then tells me that the next available appointment is over a month away. I simply refuse to support businesses that have disorganized systems set in place that waste hard working people's precious time. Again, I'm sure the practitioners are great based on the other reviews, but the scheduling system here is very flawed. This review is not directed toward any of the practitioners. Dr. Wilner is such a charismatic provider. He has so much knowledge and is willing to share with you his ideas of what he thinks your diagnosis is. I thoroughly enjoy everyone at summit. I highly recommend this practice.

Overall a great experience.
This was my first visit with Dr. Wilner and it could not have gone better. Super easy annual visit and Dr. Wilner’s bedside manner and disposition were fantastic. Looking forward to having him be my PCP for years to come!
Doctor Wilner is very personable

Summit Primary is fantastic! Dr. Wilner seems to always surround himself with the best staff and providers. The whole team is welcoming, professional, and genuinely care. They take the time to listen to what’s going on and work to get to the root of the issue and not just treat the symptoms.
Great staff! Highly recommend.
Dr. Wilner has been my Primary Physician for about 7 years now. He is the old school type Doctor who has an in-depth wealth of knowledge in medicine, real treatment, diagnoses, and how to help our body heal, not just throw drugs at you or google symptoms on WebMD. He is a good Doctor which is now a rare breed. He has always made good calls for treatment and gave good advices on preventative measures. He is Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, which from research I found his field to be much more well rounded and robust. According to Osteopathic.org, Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine use a unique whole-person approach to help prevent illness and injury. I like the Alternative medicine approach so I can relate this his practice. I would choose Dr. Wilner over thousands of Doctors in Colorado. Dr Wilner is awesome! He really cares about his patients and it shows. He is very down to earth and personable making you feel relaxed right away. I completely trust his care and he has a wide range of specialists he is connected to if that kind of care is needed. I would say he is the BEST doctor I have ever seen in my 58 years and highly recommend him if you are looking for a new PCP. Dr Wilner is awesome! He really cares about his patients and it shows. This is doctor was very condescending. The place was dirty. His wife talks down to folks and is a just as condescending . I do not recommend this office.
I have been a patient of Dr. Wilners for several years and have really enjoyed him as a doctor. But, in recent years, his office has become a frustration. I am not sure if the business has just grown beyond the capacity of the staff -- but they have become virtually NON-RESPONSIVE. Recently, I left four messages, two on an answering machine and two in personal conversations with a staff member about needing a refill for a blood-pressure prescription. Two weeks later - they have still not responded or taken care of my refill. Obviously, I am changing Dr.'s this week. I need my medication from an office that actually responds to patients. A few years ago I would have HIGHLY recommended Dr. Wilner. But, the team around him is inept so I would suggest you look elsewhere.

Dr Wilner and his team are all practicing medicine at the highest level, AND they are invested in their patients’ long-term well-being and health. I’ve personally experienced their kindnesses and support numerous times. The whole team has been a blessing in my life.
Holy unproffesionalism! This guy is the worst. He will talk down on you, make you wait excessive amounts of time, and then be rude when you question what the delay is. There are many fine dr’s around here and Larry Wilner is not one of them. Do you and your family a favor and stay away!!

Dr. Wilner has been my family doc for over 16 years. I've followed him through 3 different practices because he is so personable and knowledgeable. I frequently recommend him to my friends that are looking for a family doc. His new practice in Castle Pines has 7 day a week service.
I have had several issues with blood work that was billed incorrectly and his nurse will never call me back. My insurance finally called the office and they were supposed to to update the bill and they never did. I am also being monitored on a blood clot and he has never asked to see me for a follow up. Doesn't seem like monitoring to me. I had called and left a message for was a medication interaction with my blood thinner. You would think something like that would get a call back right away.

Compassionate, intelligent, and honest. This physician has gone out of his way to assist patients. I highly recommend anyone seeking a family GP to establish primary care with Dr Wilner and his excellent staff.
