Dr. Nystune was the backup for our primary doctor, so we gave her a call regarding our son when our primary doctor was out of office and instructed us to call Dr. Nystune when he's out. During our call, we were never informed that there would be a charge for the conversation. A month later, we received a bill of over $100 because our call went over 5 minutes, (it was less than 6 minutes). We were shocked and called her office, the office manager Karen told us that most doctors charge calls from patients, which is a lie. We have had conversations with our primary pediatrician that had exceeded 5 minutes in the past and were never charged. All of our family and friends have not been charged by phone calls with their doctors. It is also very unethical to charge us for something we were never made aware that a charge would incur. If we were aware of this beforehand, we would never have called. I would give a negative star if I could.

It’s too bad, because dr. Nystuen is a nice person, but her office staff and policies are very penny pinching and difficult. for 12 years i took my 4 children to see Dr. Nystuen. Upon moving they have made it difficult to get things transferred over. Since I had told them we were moving out of thier practice they wouldn’t give me immunization records (for our new school) without paying a fee. In addition, I was charged $120 extra for asking a developmental question at our well child visit.
