Very efficient, you don’t feel like you waste a lot of time waiting to be seen. Overall, pleasant experience. Plus you can count on seeing a very capable staff.

Annual visit. Typically in and out quickly, but always feel like Dr. Poinsette is thorough in checking for any suspicious spots. Staff was friendly and welcoming at the new office.

She is thorough, complete in her evaluations, and easy to discuss personal issues with. She leaves the patient with confidence that all skin-related concerns have been addressed and needed actions have been set in motion.

Good as always

I waited over 2 months for the appointment. Dr. Pounsette spent all of 5 minutes with me and conducted a annual skin check that seemed rushed and not very thorough. She was not very friendly and seemed bored and almost annoyed that I was there.

Dr. Poinsette is very knowledgeable and thorough when checking the skin for skin growths / cancerous moles. She listens and answers question you may have.

Sounds like a simple thing to say, but she IS THE BEST. Her staff went above and beyond to see me sooner and that attention was not necessary but that’s how much they care. And because of that, I’m writing a review. I normally don’t take my time to do that, but she and her staff are exceptional.

Quick to be called back, doctor came in soon after. Dr. Poinsett is ALWAYS excellent. However, your contacting patients to remind us of appointments is OUT OF HAND!!! I started receiving emails and notifications at least 2 weeks before, I signed in to confirm I was coming, then got way too many texts and phone calls to remind me again and again. Your way of reminding us is most annoying. Please do something to change this procedure!

I have been seeing Dr. Poinsette for a yearly exam for a very long time (even before she moved to this practice) and I always appreciate her nice "bedside manners". She is very professional and does a great job! The nurses were also nice. I waited approximately 15 minutes after my appointment time to be called back.

Rushed in and out. Nurses more helpful. Removed something on my chest and as I was leaving said she think she misdiagnosed but charged me anyway . My husband also had an appt. She had no idea what was caused hives but told him cancer check was great . The hives and itch continued, so he saw another dr. Thank goodness because it turns out he has to have a cancer on his head removed. Really frightening lack of care.

My sister went concerned about a mole on her scalp that her hairstylist found. This doctor sent her home because she couldn't find it. My aunt found it in two seconds. She went to another doctor who also found it in two seconds and had a biopsy it was pre-cancer I'm usually not one to go out of my way to write a review but this is series she's only 22. Had a previous skin cancer removed in another state (2015). Had a spot that worried me so I went Feb 2020 to Dr. Poinsette. She said it wasn't a problem, prescribed some cream and told me to come back if it didn't heal. Went back about 2 months later because spot was still there. Was told it wasn't cancer or pre-cancerous. Spot started bleeding spring 2021. Went back and saw her physician assistant May 2021. PA biopsied the spot and I got a call that it was cancerous. Now i'm facing another MOHS surgery when that spot could have been removed a year earlier. Don't know why more care wasn't taken when I had previous skin cancer. Great, caring doctors & staff.

Dr.Poinsette is a most wonderful and experienced Dr. she has been treating me for many years. Never in a hurry, explains everything and always calls you after a serious surgery. I highly recommend her. The most caring Dr. !!

I have always been happy with Dr. Poinsett. She listens, is patient, caring, and pleasant. I do an annual body scan with her and she is very through and found a squamous cell spot on my arm that I never would have found myself. I feel very confident with her assessments and that is important with a dermatologist.

Appointment scheduling is great, prompt when arrival, hardly a wait and seeing the Dr. in hallway going into another patients room and then pretty much 5 min. after coming into mine and out the door in 5 min. it's an assembly line and I felt rushed, happened last appointment and that was a while ago so didn't remember what I didn't like till I went again and realized it was the same thing. Felt rushed, got in, got out as obviously did other patients. Didn't get to ask questions or discuss issues. Not what I want in a Dr., just my decision, not everyone is the same.

I always am back in the examining room within 5 minutes of my appointment time and she is in the room in 5 minutes or less to start her exam. Very thorough, listens to her patients, doesn't rush through visit. Dr. Poinsette keeps photographic records and recently noticed a mole on my back had gotten larger and darker from comparing photos from the last visit. Mole was biopsied came back precancerous and then a wide excision was done in the center of my back. As in a previous review she also made incision on an angle. I'm a nurse sand understand why, which was if it was a straight cut my normal daily movements would have pulled incision apart. As I'm sure the same would have been if there was a horizontal cur in the eyebrow as in prior negative review. So she DOES take the into account how the wound will heal and what normal movements we make. Maybe before judging an incision they should have just asked her why she made the incision she did.

I have gone to Dr. Poinsette for several serious and non serious (cosmetic) procedures. She and her staff always take great care of me and make sure I understand exactly what is happening and what to do post-procedure. I even received a phone call from her personally a few days after my more serious appointments, and I’ve talked to friends who see her who she’s also called. I’ve recommended her to everyone I know. She’s the best in town!

I have more than 50 treatments and surgeries with Dr. Poinsette. She has always been excellent in terms of her medical knowledge, concern and thoroughness. She and her staff have helped me survive several serious issues and referred me to other specialists when needed.

I had a basal cell carcinoma size of pencil eraser about 1/3 inch above my left eyebrow just to the outside of the pupil area. Told horizontal cut would blend with face lines. Mohs procedure never mentioned. Was given a 2.5" diagonal cut that goes into eyebrow and will permanently affect my eyebrow and appearance. She never considered the aesthetic consequences I will have to live with the rest of my life. For facial work seek a dermatologist with plastics knowledge. I wish I had known to!

Didn't offer much assistance regarding my skin condition Was passive and made it clear by her remarks that she was solely out for the money not patient care Appointment was maybe ten minutes at best Please seek an alternative dermatologist

Very personable and thorough - willing to listen to patient and check out your concerns. Keeps photographic records so she can compare changes from visit to visit. She is willing to talk and answer questions and concerns so if you feel slighted time or attention-wise, you may want to look at whether you are engaging with her on a professional level so she has something to respond to.
