Love this doctor she takes the time to really talk to you, she doesn’t brush you off like others and she is very thorough.

Dr Higley listens to what your issues are, discusses anything you need to talk about your health. She is very compassionate and caring! I would recommend Dr. Higley to anyone that isn't getting the results they need from another doctor.

Very disappointed in this Dr. Will be looking for a new one soon. ????

Devastated. New meds MUST be researched by family first. Family member put on med that resulted in permanent brain alteration that history showed red flag. Now requires constant supervision. Was told not the result of the med, of course, which google says otherwise. Unfortunately, convention has seemed to take the skill and classical thinking out of the “practice” of medicine and simple courses of medication are prescribed. More medication to counteract the side effects of the first, etc. Disease management, not healthcare. Devastated. New meds MUST be researched by family first. So I had been going to this doctor for I don’t know how long. When my 2 oldest kids turned 18 I switched their insurance here, my daughter 18 was having issues with her sciatica nerve, she was in lots of pain every day and it effected her daily life. She visited the ER one day and they told her she needed to see a specialist and of course gave her a number but that doctor did not take her insurance so I called multiple doctors on her insurance trying to stay with Mclaren doctors. I called the office and a secretary picked up (not sure if she was new or what, she didn’t sound familiar) I asked her if they had a number for the specialist and she says is your daughter a patient here I said yes a new one and she will be there Wednesday to see the doc and I explained everything to her and she said I need to call her insurance and so I said again I already did and none of them take her insurance and I’m trying to stay within Mclaren (I wasn’t asking for a referral I was simply asking for a phone number) again she said I need to call the insurance she can’t or won’t give her the number because the doc didn’t refer her!! I was so angry because I told her my daughter had been in pain for idk how long and she needed to see the specialist but that lady did not care AT ALL! So I hung up and found a Henry Ford doctor with no issues and immediately and she was in with the specialist within a week and I switched my whole family back to Henry Ford. I asked for a simple number so that I could stay with in the Mclaren health system and get my daughter to a specialist since Mclaren is where we have been for the last 10-15 years. My daughter is 18 and was in agonizing pain EVERY SINGLE DAY turns out she has 3 bulging discs that were pushing and her sciatica!!! Thank god she is doing better now but that made me so angry! I am my child’s advocate and I will not play games to someone just because they wanna be ignorant or was having a bad day! I have received numbers from them before AGAIN I NEVER ASKED FOR THEM TO REFER ME! It was clear that the ER TOLD HER THATS WHO SHE NEEDED TO SEE!!! This happens a few months ago and I’m just now writing a review because I feel like it is necessary and my doctor recently requested my records and they called to make sure that’s what I wanted to do and yes yes it is, I wish I had gotten her name. Great experience with Dr. Higley. She came highly recommended. I'm grateful to her caring staff for contacting me when they had a cancellation.

Dr Higley is the absolute best. She is thorough and caring toward her patients

I really enjoy being her patient. I have no problems with making appts. Everytime I have an appointment with her she is very thorough with her exams and also with explaining what the problem could be and how she is going to treat it. This is my first year going to her but so far so good.

This Doctor is the worst. I am diabetic and was having a allergic reaction to the medication and she talked down to me. She has no patience for overweight people. But she takes your $$. If you are and overweight patient please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. What a nightmare I was on my way to a stroke and thank god I found a CARING COMPASSIONATE doctor.

Dr. Higley and staff are professional and I highly recommend. She explains things in understandable language and answers questions. Dr. Higley orders tests when necessary, and refers to specialists as appropriate. I am very satisfied with Dr. Higley.

Dr. Higley is a very skilled and kind doctor.

Dr. Higley was first referred to me by a coworker. I have not been disappointed with the care and service I have received in the last few years. I have recommended Dr. Higley to others seeking an a great primary care physician. My only suggestion is please make room in the waiting area for small tables to set coffee cup or bottle water.

Always felt like dr. was talking down to me and never addressed my concerns. Trying to get normal prescription refills was like pulling teeth, felt I needed a separate appointment for every refill, every month. Also, office staff not quite together, repeatedly failed to get insurance information correct over 3 year period so was repeatedly billed for entire visit and I have 2 insurance plans, intentionally, to cover everything. Giving up.

Was a patient for almost a decade and it was more convient to find a new doctor. Eventually moved back to the area and tried to get back into her practice and was told by the office staff that Dr. Higley decided I was not welcome to be a patient again. Highly disappointed after ten years that I was not welcome to return (I did not owe any money to her offices).

Dr. Higley is great, I was referred to her for Thyroid treatment. She explains everything you need know and takes the time to answer your questions. The whole staff is friendly and always remember you. They are very prompt in getting back with you on any test results, including refilling your prescriptions. I would recommend Dr. Higley.
