Routine visit. Got see Dr. Torres there for my quarterly office. Dr Torres took extremely good care of me. All the staff is caring and very professional while being friendly. I did enjoy the visit.

I was fighting a tough infection and went to Dr. Juanita Broadnax at Cedar Niles Internal Medicine clinic. She and her associates were each and every one as kind and courteous as one would hope. I was able to tell Dr. Broadnax and her nurse the exact symptoms with which I was dealing, have them clinically examined and evaluated and received a clear and comprehensive set of instructions and necessary prescriptions to relieve my problems. Dr. Broadnax is terrific. I strongly recommend Dr. Broadnax, Dr. Torres (love you, Dr. Torres!), P.A. Carlene St. John and all of the professionals at Cedar Niles. They truly listen to you and offer the best medical care.

From the time I was called in to the time I was ready to leave with less than 10 minutes. I was there for strictly for blood work. The gentleman was fast and he was good. No bruising afterwards.

Dr. Torres is thorough. She has caught things other doctors have missed. She listens and that’s what makes all the difference. Also, my mom sees Dr. Broadnax and she is thorough and kind. Mom is in her 70’s and felt heard and respected.

Dr. Torres was very thorough and listened to all my concerns. She thought outside the box and her diagnosis was right on point. Her prescriptions solved my issue and she showed she truly cares for her patients. She asked how I was truly doing and cared for my overall health. Not happy

Dr. Torres is incredible. Not only has she taken great care of my health, but also she is lovely to speak with at every appointment. She explained everything to me in a very clear manner. She was also kind and friendly. All of the staff was great – they were helpful, patient and helped with my insurance and when i had some financial hardship her office was extremely helpful It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I recently moved to the area and was told that this facility does diabetes management. Being a type 1 diabetic it is extremely important I have the insulin that I need. I was running out of one insulin and completely out of another, since the doctor who I used to see is in another state. So I made an appointment so I could insulin. I also have white coat anxiety (anxiety when you see a doctor) and clearly explained this to the PA, Clarissa something. My pulse was high and blood pressure up (typical when having an anxiety attack) and since my pulse was high I was told "you need to go to the ER." I did not like the sound of that, so I was sent even further into my anxiety. So I got up and left her office, went home to calm down, and called her back a few hours later to see if my prescription was sent to the pharmacy. The PA got on the phone and said "I will not fill your prescription unless you go to the ER." Which shocked me to say the least but also filled me back up with anxiety knowing that I can't get the medicine I need to stay alive. A few hours later I went to the Baylor Heart Center ER, got an EKG, did blood work, chest x ray.... Pretty much a whole chest work up. The doctor there said "well the only thing we can find is that your blood sugar is high (duhh I've been out of one of my insulins). Luckily they gave me the insulin I needed and sent me home. TLDR, they send people to the ER when they have a high pulse and threaten your medication if you don't abide by there rules. I love Dr Torres. She listens and knows how to diagnose. I feel like i'm in very good hands and have full confidence in her diagnosis. She resolved my issues other practices could not. She is no nonsense, yet listens to what i have to say. I highly recommend her.

Have worked in Medical field for quite some time and was very upset with this office. Set up an appointment for a specific time, and showed up 15 min prior just like was requested of me. 30 min of waiting was informed of per my insurance this was not the correct provider. Called insurance and obtained reference number as requested from front desk. Turns out everything was correct and that the name was the name of the provider but just maiden name. Then told they would not see me, because they needed to see me for a hour and they had other patients.. Even though they did not tell me about the "insurance issue" until 15 into my set appointment and got everything they needed like requested and still rejected my appointment this day. Was very very upset that they would tell me to come back another time, even though I did everything they requested. Went to this office 2-3 yrs ago bc it was close to my job. I saw Dr. Torres once in all my doctor visits for about 5 minutes. The rest of my visits I was seen by a PA who told me she just new out of school. I finally stopped going when I went in when I was very sick. The PA gave me a z-pack and told me I should not take it unless I absolutely had to bc I had already been on antibiotics (which didn't work). I had a barking cough and fever. I ended up going to the ER and diagnosed with pneumonia. Another time I went for my appointment and the door was locked. A note on the door stated they closed at 1pm that particular day. So I called and no one answered but I left a voicemail. I had my husband check the door. Locked. So we left. 20 minutes later and almost home I got a callback. The guy said the sometimes the door jams. I told him it was locked bc my husband tried it too. He apologized and said they may have forgotten to unlock it after lunch and would I come back. I said no. So they rescheduled me. I also asked him why the note on the door stated they closed early that day and an appointment was made for me. He said that note was old and they had just not taken it down. Each time I went there were no patients in the lobby or in the office nor customer cars in the lot. It was very eerie to me. There were no pictures on the walls. No documents showing the doctor's certifications. I found that very odd and wondered how she stayed in business as each time I went, there were no patients. Only one time did I see one other person. I also wondered if I was the only patient in the office, how come I never saw the doctor to treat me? I was only introduced to her on my first visit. Made appointments to see her but she kept blowing me off and I had to see her med assistant. All they would do is tell me to go to various places for tests over and over. No real care. No compassion. She constantly pawns you off to someone else like it's their problem, not hers when she is an Internal Medicine doc!! You're better off going somewhere else to get a personal, real one on one time. After complaining, I got fired as a patient because she felt it was an "unhealthy relationship" Ummm when you ignore me and ship me off to other places, there is not a relationship! ***Additional info based on the owner response: I was fired as a patient(I still have the letter to prove it) and I have NEVER had a seizure in my life. I love Dr Torres. she found and fixed all the things wrong with me that 3 other Dr's couldn't. Her office staff is nice and friendly. I highly recommend this practice.

I brought my elderly mother-in-law. The staff spent a long time with her and addressed multiple issues. She has a Medicare HMO for which is is hard to do referrals with previous PCP, but they were able to find physicians in-network.

I called and felt it was odd that they said over the phone "uhh you will see an NP not the doctor and if you take a controlled pain medication we don't refill those types of medication and be referred to a pain management and if you have anxiety you will need to go to a psychiatrist" . Dr. Torres spends extended time with patients and is very knowledgeable. She listens to my every concern and addresses each one. She is prompt seeing patients.

Dr. Torres is knowledgeable, compassionate, and spends extended time with patients. Her nurse practitioner will see patients, but not the medical assistants. If the preceding reviewer felt it was a medical assistant and not a nurse practitioner he saw, then maybe he is wrong about his whole assessment of situation. You only have to ask and she will address your concerns. I have been a patient for 20 yrs and do not think she would terminate a pt. unless they were grossly noncompliant w/ care.

Dr Torres is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Her nurse practitioner, Danielle is also a very good, kind and caring person. All of the office staff are friendly and helpful. One of the best doctors offices I've been to in 40 years.
