Dr. Louis Michaelos is reminiscent of the days when family doctors made house calls. He is comforting, caring, knowledgeable and informative. I first saw Dr. Louis on 3/16/22. I had no vision in my right eye due to a severe cornea infection. Dr. Louis saw me everyday including opening the office on Sat. and Sun. (except on the day he had surgery, then his father, Dr. John examined my eye and he was also very caring and thorough). Dr. Louis' aggressive treatment with medicines and then performing emergency surgery to replace my cornea on 3/24/22, saved my vision. I highly recommend Dr. Louis Michaelos and St. Michaels Eye and Laser Institute. He is an amazing doctor and the entire staff is efficient, courteous and very personable.

Helped me with my keratoconus

The entire staff has been extraordinarily helpful and kind. Dr. Louis has been great, I would highly recommend him for cataract surgery. He is honest, thorough, knowledgeable, and has given me vision that I have not experienced before in my life. With the information he gave me and the technicians, I was comforted and never apprehensive about surgery. I never thought I would see this clearly and I have a new lease on life.

It was a great experience, Doctor walked me through the entire EPILASIK process. Surgery took less than 10 minutes. He is very informative and reassuring. Staff is very sweet and kind as well. I have the best vision I have ever had now.

5 stars all around. From the reception desk to the technicians and nurses in the surgical center all are friendly, caring and amazing. As for Dr Michaelos he is a rock star in my opinion. He takes the time to explain the procedure, and makes you feel at ease. I am thrilled with my cataract surgery and would recommend him to anyone for their vision needs.

Ecstatic with the outcome of my surgery and very happy he grabbed the bull by the horns and made a decision to do Toric lens in my right eye. Shows true concern for his patients and their visual outcome.

My mother had a horrible experience with this doctor. She had cataract surgery that he charged for an upgrade in lens that he did not implant in her eye which was confirmed by the doctor who did her second eye. She went back to him for problems which ended up costing her thousands of dollars.

Was noticing changes to my vision and went for a check-up. Cataracts were the issue. Doctor and Staff were helpful in my decision making process. When scheduled for the procedures was treated with respect and compassion. Follow through has be excellent. All facility, Equipment and Staff are excellent. Appreciated that scheduled appoints were on time with slight wait times.

I should start by saying I had the Vivity lens placed into my left eye during cataract surgery. Best experience ever. My eyesight is so much better. Highly recommend.

After scary eye injury, Dr. Louis did a wonderful job. I was really scared and he worked with me and got me the medicine I needed. He was real informative with going forward with my medical treatment.

Very professional staff. Very courteous. Accommodated requests from me while in the waiting room before surgery to make me comfortable before the surgery. Answered all questions when asked. Doctor Louis Michaelos is so sweet. And of course he does a great job.He is very professional and makes all of his patients feel comfortable. From the check in process, techs, doctor and check out. The flow seems to go absolutely great!! I highly recommend the Mittleman eye center for all of your eye needs.

Dr Michaelos is a terrific doctor! He's smart, very thorough, doesn't rush, and listens to what the patient has to say. Combine all those qualities with a kind and calming personality, He's everything you could wish for in a doctor!

Staff was great and thorough. Made sure all devices were cleaned before use. It started with Carlos spending a great deal his time to get my referal in place. Tiffany was welcoming and helpful. Hermano who executed the exams, took his time and very thorough. Laura and Leigh were cordial and pleasant. Dr.Michaelos took his time to explain and discuss the results and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for Ophthalmologist. Last but not least was Leean who could not have been nicer. On the whole I was a good experience.

After going through all the tests with all the helpful people, Dr. Michaelos was straightforward and to-the-point. He moved quickly and listened to my concerns and then gave me a prescription that worked with my eye problem. Absolute thorough care. Wonderful experience from the time I walked in to the time I left. Marcelin checked me in, Dr Alvs was the first technician, Katherine helped in the optical and lean checked me out.
