Even though you may have to wait to see Dr. Beard, he is very through and takes time to explain with his patients. He cares even when he is busy. He has so much experience and knows medicine.

His lack of willingness to listen to a long time patient, resulted in misdiagnosing, and overdosing an elderly woman. He kept increasing dosages on an UNneeded medication when (surprise,) it didn't work.

Dr. Beard is an amazing Physician!! He has taken care of my family for over 20 years. The wait time in his office is sometimes long but, Once he gets into the examining room he is there for the duration of the time, he is 100% focused on what you need and what your concerns are. Dr. Beard is one of the greatest doctors I have had the opportunity of knowing. He has treated me for several years and has consistently provided me a great deal of relief with the issues I have acquired over the years. I am so glad I am still one of his patients as he is highly respected by me, my family and in the community. This is not only an excellent doctor, but he truly cares. He always explains everything i might not understand completely. Takes time for his patient.

The time Dr. Bpends checking my currents meds., current health conditions and reviewing with past health issues is unmatched! He not only asks about my meds, but checks them over to make sure they are current and that i am taking them correctly. Once, I was hospitalized and was having trouble with breathing. The nurses were escorting my family out because they thought their presence was causing anxiety. Dr. Beard came in told them to treat Asth

I think he is great. Explains things to you thoroughly and takes the time needed to satisfy your questions. Never seems rushed. Of course this does lead to some longer wait times. But he is worth it. Most of the time with morning appointments you wait 10 to 20 minutes. Pretty normal, actually.

He put me on meds that didn't work with my other meds he knew I was on

yes, you do have along wait, but he has spent time with me and doesn't seem to be pushed. He is very thorough and explains well. The wait is worth the quality. I don't know I could find as good all around dr. when he retires.

Better make sure he understands what kind of an exam you are there for. I needed a yearly type of exam, he put it down as a start of service exam so my insurance wouldn't pay for it. He refused to change how he billed it even though what he did qualifed as a basic exam. Such a stupid rip off! His nurse was very pushy and rude as well. I have never complained about a physician before!

Waited over 3 hours for my appointment. I received the help I needed but the wait was insane and the staff was awful and treated us poorly,

I have been a patient of Dr. Beard's for years and wouldn't trade him for the world. He really cares about his patients. My only complaint is usually the wait time is over an hour. But, he is still great in my book.

I think this was the most rudest individual I've ever met..

My questions are always answered and my problem resolved, and he's good natured to boot! Great Dr. great staff.

Dr. Beard looks at Numbers NOT people. I took my ailing mother to this Dr. he appeared confident and firm. He spent most of appointment looking over reports, wouldn't answer questions, drastically changed medications, drilled me on a completely different diagnoses than the previous doctor gave, and simply dismissed half of my mothers symptoms/complaints. He got upset when my mother tried to discuss things with him and he told her to "Shush!" We left his office upset, in pain and without any help. Dr. Beard looks at Numbers NOT people. I have known Dr. Beard for over 20 years now. He has been the best Doctor I have known. Yes, he is data oriented. He does not practice medicine by his gut. I'm an engineer by trade and he is very good to review any data and explain it to me. From there he recommends a solution and we proceed and he has me follow up when needed. My wife has been a Diabetic for 20 years. When she was first diagnosed she went to a specialist. She really had a hard time trying to get her blood sugars stable. She struggled for several years going to 3 different Doctors. She finely went to Dr. Beard. She has been in good control now for about 17 years. Dr. Beard has an excellent background in diabetes and my wife has done very well with all of her health car needs. Please understand that Dr. Beard has a habit of spending a little more time if a patient needs it. So sometimes you will have to wait to get in. Just be patient it will be worth it.
