Terrible! I guess he totally miss the semester on bedside manners! He was so rude, spoke to me like I was a 2 year old, extremely judgemental, and didn't listen to me at all! Which is crazy because I mostly agree with his diagnosis but because of his behavior I will not take the medicine. I cannot trust someone who did not even try to get to know me.

I was a patient of Dr. Irfan for three years. He asked the same questions at every med check appointment - was I working, what did I do, etc. It frustrated me that he wouldn't take a few minutes to review my chart before our appointment. Our encounters lacked personalized attention and he seemed in a hurry to refill my prescriptions and send me on my way.

Zero stars. Terrible psychiatrist who does not listen to his patients. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned he is sexist. I was transferred to him and he selectively ignored one of my confirmed diagnoses (which happens to be one that is vastly underdiagnosed in women) and refused to prescribe a [low dose of] medication for me because it had the potential to be addictive. The worst part is, he did not tell this to my face- HE HAD HIS SECRETARY CALL ME. When I met with him next, and pressed him about it, he completely ignored my question and responded with "So what are you doing for work now?" .. So at best he's hard-of-hearing and senile.

I saw Dr. Irfan last month and told him I was extremely depressed and he refused to adjust my medication. I had a telehealth session with him this month and told him that I felt even worse than last month. He talked to me for less than 10 minutes, said he would refill my medication and to call the front desk to schedule an appointment for 2 months from now. I went to the pharmacy and he had put in the brand name of one of my medications and would not allow it to be subsituted for the generic form, making it EXTREMELY expensive for me with my limited financial means. I will not be returning to him, he is insensitive, careless and will not even do his job properly by adjusting medication. Do not waste your time or money to see him.

I find Dr Irfan to be very caring, considerate and a good listener. The appointments are on the shorter side, but you also see the counselor, it is a team effort and if I ever needed more time, he was always available. I am never rushed. Anyone who has any type of mental health issue, wether mild or major, needs a team effort, involving doctor, counselor and family. I do believe sometimes the doctor may benefit from getting the perspective of family/friends other than just the patients perspective. This way he can treat the patient with a full perspective. Sometimes the patient may not see things as they truly are. Dr Irfan is very crucial in helping me to see things as they truly are and learning to cope better. I am thankful for the progress Dr. Irfan has helped me make and have recommended him to many, who have also been very pleased.

He is a great doctor like I told him a few days ago.

Everytime i see him he calls me a different name.

I can NOT believe that this Doctor is receiving a 4 star rating ! I went to him a few years ago and he was AWFUL, insensitive and money hungry. I have OCD and he assigned me to a clinical social worker (because I was on Medicare only at the time) , who didn't even know how CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) works and was asking me about how it was done ! What an idiot ! I have been to clinics at Emory and the U of Pennsylvania and seen doctors at Harvard, so I know the great ones. Stay away !

Dr. Irfan is a nice human being yet as a psychiatrist he is a paper pushing robot. Every month he acts as though he is meeting my child and me for the first time. He remembers NOTHING in terms of relevant history from previous conversations. He actually provided recommendations which were the exact opposite of his recommendations for the same issue just the month prior. HIs listening ability is marginal at best. He sits at this desk and stares at your paperwork and his computer screen full time.
