Madeleine Fortin

My visit on August 5, 2021 went very, very well. Dr. Fortin is very kind and she listens to everything and then she advises. She treats you like a human and not as a robot. She doesn’t brush you off like your concerns are of no importance, like my ex pcp did. Dr. Fortin in great!!

Dr Fortín is a great Dr. I came in with some health concerns and I am leaving with confidence. She is a Dr that I trust and is the only reason I stay with Kaiser. I trust Dr Fortín.

I am happy to share my experience and my appreciation to my primary physician from Kaiser Dr. Madeleine Fortin, MD. I have been a patient of Dr. Fortin since January 2013. Dr. Fortin is highly qualified, very experienced, and passionate about her job and her patients. I have selected Dr. Fortin in November 2012 ,and I have never regretted my choice to select her as my primary care physician. Furthermore, I selected the different medical insurance in the end of 2018, and I returned back to Kaiser in January 2021, because I have realized that Dr. Fortin is one of the best doctors I have had in my life. Dr. Fortin is an amazing and considerate family doctor. In all my visits she took time to answer all my questions. She always cares about my safety. She is very professional, caring and dedicated doctor who provides highly qualified treatment. Overall, I strongly recommend Dr. Fortin if you need thoughtful, caring, experienced family doctor. Dr. Fortin is the BEST! She listens carefully to me as I describe a problem and then offers excellent solutions/referrals to resolve the problem. She cares for me as a whole, which is important, given that I have a variety of health problems where each needs to be addressed with the others in mind. I can't thank her enough for her care and caring about me as an individual.

Dr. Fortin has been my primary care physician at Kaiser Permanente for at least 10 years. I feel like we are partners in maintaining my health. She is remarkably patient and open-minded; I can talk to her about anything. She also has NO EGO. She's warm and humble and never "talks down." If you want a doctor who takes over your life and gives orders, go elsewhere. If you want a doctor who'll listen to you carefully and work WITH you, see Dr. Fortin. (I know I'm not the only one; a bunch of people on NextDoor.com were also fans.)

Dr. Fortin has been my Primary Care doctor for 4 and a half years. The reasons I love her are that she really listens to me and she trusts me to be a full partner in my own healthcare. She is a great in person doctor, very thorough and careful, she is also incredibly responsive through the Kaiser Health Portal which has been especially helpful during the pandemic. I have no hesitation in recommending her if you are looking for a fabulous provider.

I saw Dr. Fortin once so far for a physical. I had not had one in a couple of years, and I have to say she made me feel comfortable, she was professional, knowledgeable and caring. I strongly recommend her!

I have been Dr Frotin's patient for almost 9 years. She has helped me through many issues of my health. From assembling a team of specialist for my heart problem and also my Lambert Eaton Syndrome. She has worked diligently to keep my medical well being under control. Dr. Fortin is the absolute best primary care Dr. I've had in my 80 years.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. My first visit as a new patient. I went in to see Dr. Fortin about back pain. She was very strange. Normally Dr's ask you why you are there and then do an exam. She did not do an exam, but proceeded to diagnose me! I asked if I could get a referral for someone who might know more about the back or if I could have an xray or mri. She became very hostile and stated they didn't do that. She said, "those machines cannot tell you anything about your back" ...Say what?? I confronted her about her rude responses and manner. She became remorseful and apologized. Still I would not recommend this dr. She was a little too crazy for me and became angry when I was asking questions as any normal patient would do. I never look dr's up, but I will from now on! I found this site because I wanted to know who she was. I feel KP needs to be made aware each time this occurs. She needs coaching on bedside manner or to quit being a Dr.

Excellent doctor listens and concerned about my well being. Been my primary care doctor for the past three years .she is why I stay at kaiser. Very concerned about my health. Always encouraging me to make life style changes

Terrible. She is very dismissive and condescending..certainly not cut out to be a doctor. I can't see how someone with her bedside manners would qualify as a doctor, let alone a good one.

It takes a LOT to make me go to the doctor, I probably average a non-wellness visit every 5 years (or less.) So when I do, it's usually for something painful or concerning. Dr. Fortin was dismissive of my concerns, even though she was unable to diagnose them. I ended up later finding an answer/dx (to what is a common issue) on the internet. Thanks, Google.

Just saw my Dr. Madeleine Fortin, with Kaiser in Kennesaw, GA! I have been seeing her for years...I am so happy that she works for Kaiser.. She is extremely knowledgeable in her medical field, she is very caring, she has great listening skills too, really takes her time to get to the root of the problem!!!! Great Job Dr. :)

I starting seeing her just as a primary care doctor, so it didn't really matter that much. The short time spent with her didn't bother me too much. However I started having problems with chronic pain and she just seemed like she didn't really care. She threw a bunch of medicine at the problem and when it didn't work she just kinda said "well sucks for you". Shortly after I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Months later I got into a car accident that sent me into a terrible flare up. I was out of work for nearly two months. I'm a dog groomer and have a very physical job that my illness got in the way of. I couldn't stand for more than 45 minutes without feeling like I was going to collapse, couldn't bend, have serious issues going up and down stairs, bones popping constantly, and serious fatigue and brain fog. But all she could say was "well its because you gained weight". I gained weight because of all the meds she put me on. After that excuse fell through it was "well fibromyalgia is a

Very passive to patient concerns, as well as rude in her manners. High self-important personality. Ended up going to hospital for an issue I saw her for because of the amount of pain I was in, and she basically brushed it off when I had contacted her beforehand.

She is flat out rude (especially if you are overweight or obese). Instead of talking with me and listening to what I had to say she incessantly pushed a gluten-free diet on me and I was there about things completely different from my nutrition. She saw me for a total of 6 minutes and the entire time she made me feel awful about my life. Doctors shouldn't make you feel like you are nothingness under their boot. Patients need someone who is in their corner and not someone who judges them.

She didn't address any of my concerns. Even when I brought in recent (from the current month) lab tests she questioned my illnesses. I ended up asking for a referral and left.
