Dr. Marc J Hirsh

I have been seeing Dr. Hirsh for more than three years and he continues to impress me with his knowledge, not only about his specialty of rheumatology, but about medicine in general. He listens to my needs and provides practical, effective solutions, some of which are nonconventional. However, his advice and treatments have been very effective. Moreover, he takes the time to treat me as a person, not just as a patient. I am very blessed to have Dr. Hirsh as a physician.

Last week I made an appointment with The Hirsh Center in Delray Beach. They are rheumatologists. When I arrived they gave me new patient paperwork that included a blanket credit card authorization and a Statement of Charges form that included a $50 cancellation fee and a $75 walkout fee. I objected to both and told them I would not give them blanket credit card authorization so they said I would then have to pay in advance at time of visit. When I asked about the statement of charges they said if you wait more than 3 hours there will be no walkout charge. I told them this is not the kind of physician practice I am used to so I told them to rip up my paperwork and left. Saturday I got a bill for $50 for cancelling the appointment. Today when I spoke to the billing office they told me I had the appointment and was informed at time of service of the fees and by leaving they were entitled to bill me.

Caring, prompt, professional, polite and extremely thorough. I appreciated everyone I interacted with as I treated extremely nice by all.

Dr. Hirsch is extremely knowledgeable and very gentle.As busy as the office is, you don't feel rushed as he addresses all your aches and concerns.

I have been coming to the Hirsh Center for five years. I am a retired physician and when I go to his office, I always think that there’s nothing that he can do to help my problem, but that always turns out to be not true. He ultrasound to see into my joints and gather info to complement the exam. There is a palpable atmosphere that everyone treats patients and all employees with kindness and respect. I have a great deal of trust in Dr. Marc Hirsh.

To use an Army quotation: OUTSTANDING!! I don't know where to start, but I actually...literally and figuratively, put my life in Dr. Hirsh's care. I went to him as a police officer whose hands were so bad I couldn't hold and use my handgun or rifle because of the pain and weakness. As if that wasn't bad enough, I couldn't even make a fist and defend myself. I was not only very concerned, I was scared. Dr. Hirsh promised me he could help me get back on the streets doing my job - and protecting the lives of citizens and myself. Dr Marc Hirsh is an exceptional, knowledgeable and caring Dr! Successfully treated my trigger fingers- one on each hand. His ultrasound guided injection did the job of both stopping my limited motion and the feeling of my finger getting stuck in one position on both trigger fingers. He gave me back my full mobility in both trigger fingers after one injection for each finger. Dr Hirsh leads a wonderful team of providers and a variety of staff. After COVID Severe hip pain . 4 months and referred to Dr. Hirsch by orthopaedic. They called and had an earlier opening and I am so thankful for Dr. Hirsch and staff for their expertise, kindness. Dr. Hirsch diagnosed my issues and after Rt. Hip injections via ultrasound , I’m in less pain (reduced by 80%) and next week will have other hip injections. I went to this beautiful office for the first time last week. I was lucky enough to see Dr Hirsh. From the minute i walked in ,I loved the vibe..the friendly staff, the decor, and the cleanliness of the office. This was all impressive. But if i had to sum up my experience , I would say that this office is "the Traders Joes "of offices ! The issue I originally came in for was resolved. In addition, the staff were professional . I was called in as soon as I finished my paperwork so the wait time was minimal. I was sent to Dr. Hirsch by my Mother, She told me Dr.H kept my dad in one piece for year's. If he could do that he's the Man for me. After two visits to the center I returned for a third for my test results. After consulting with Dr Hirsh and his staff I was told that I had Rheumatoid arthritis, & to go on a regimen of Methotrexate and Folic acid. The office proceeded to call it into my drug plan. The following day I was informed by the plan that I needed to have a prior authorization from the doctor before it could be filled. I called the doctors office & was informed by the woman in charge. that there would be a $50.00 charge for her to call the plan and give them the verbal authorization. When I asked why, I was nastily told that was their policy. I called my drug plan & told them about the charge, they told me they had never heard of a doctor charging for an authorization. EVER. I will not be returning to the MONEY HUNGRY Hirsh center. And I would advise everyone that reads this to do the same. If you must go there, don't bring your grandchildren with you, if they give them a lollypop, You will be billed. -5*

I drive 200 plus miles to see Dr. Hirsh. I’m an avid tennis player and the other doctor’s I’ve see are frankly a waist of time forcing me to drive 200 miles from Orlando to see him. He has yet to fail me. He diagnosed my hip with arthritis which was completely missed by two reputable Boca Doctors. He injected it with PRP which has deferred a hip replacement indefinitely. The limp is gone. He injected my finger to cure a trigger finger, again totally missed by two specialists. Today, he properly diagnosed my elbow that I had seen a doctor in Orlando two months ago with no results. One injection and the pain is gone. Dr Hirsh’s secret is that he does not blindly inject joints but rather injects them under ultrasound in his office. It’s more labor intensive but the successful results reflect the extra effort. Staff is always nice, attentive and very helpful.Dr Hirsch seems confident and has a treatment plan. I’m concerned re my sero negative RA diagnosis because I have the symptoms but my bloodwork doesn’t support the RA diagnosis. He tells me 40% of RA patients are SERo Negative- I trust he is correct. I love the HIRSH center. They took me on as a new patient during COVID and literally saved my life. Evan Abramsky is the PA and he is amazing. He found out that I also had Parathyroid and that combined with RA is a deadly combination. I have had both knee replacements and I am totally fused in my neck. In fact, Dr. Hirsh “bought” me an extra year before I had to see surgeons for significant surgeries. Dr. Hirsh has always treated me with the finest of care complete with compassion and outstanding medical treatment. His office staff is the best around. If I have a sudden episode and cannot see Dr. Hirsh, I see Evan or Javier so I never have to suffer an extra minute. It is a great comfort to know I am not suffering without options. I think the best part of the Hirsh Arthritis Center is the treatment. Dr. Hirsh uses ultrasound for diagnostic and treatment of all areas of pain. Dr Hirsh has an incredible knowledge base regarding the human body, how it works and how it does not work. His work with PRP worked incredibly well after getting pain shots in that area from other drs for years with no successful results. Dr, Hirsh is the best Dr. I have in life!

Not only is he knowledgeable and helps with all my arthritis problems but Dr Hirsh, as well as his entire staff is kind, considerate and never rushes you in order to get to his next patient. We discussed my RA & continued my prescribed meds. He had a technician, Crystal withdrawn the blood . Crystal was excellent! I have difficult veins but she’s excellent! She found the vein & painlessly withdrew the blood!

Dr Hirsch is absolutely incredible- he is patient, kind, professional and always available- he always spends as much time with me as I want and I am never rushed-it is rare to find a Dr as compassionate and caring as Dr Hirsh and his team-

Patient care seemed secondary to the practice to maximizing billing. Very difficult to have a prescription refilled without requests through multiple phone calls. And an added fee or as they call it administration charge to assist in obtaining Prior Authorization from the insurance company. In addition, the office is a bunch of shoeboxes lining a hallway. Not comfortable in this Covid environment.

Didn’t get past the phone call. I have bad knees, back and have fibromyalgia. I was told he doesn’t want more fibromyalgia patients so if I want to see him for my knees, that was okay, but he won’t even discuss the fibromyalgia even if it plays a part in my problems. How disgraceful. I’ve been treated in other cities, and never had a Rheumatologist not treat me as a total. Horrible attitude.

I came to Doctor Hirsh with badly inflamed right shoulder which was limiting my movement and normal activity. He did an X-ray and performed a series of cortisone shots with the aid of his fantastic ultrasound machine. I felt better immediately and 100% better within 48 hours. I am now fully functional thanks to him!!!

After being diagnosed with arthritic knees and bone-on-bone by several well-known orthopedists in South Florida and New York City, after undergoing a stem cell procedure, PRP (platelet rich plasma), synvsc, numerous cortisone shots over time and even prolotherapy in the distant past, I was gearing myself up for a second stem cell treatment -- the first one lasted seven years -- and ultimately a knee or double knee replacement despite the fact I was without pain. Precisely why my orthopedists, correctly so, suggested not to undergo knee surgery. So, it was with some reluctance that I agreed to see Dr. Marc Hirsh, a noted rheumatologist and sports medicine specialist. I was not expecting anything new. Was I wrong? Dr. Hirsh diagnosed that my hips correlated with my knee issues, took x-rays and administered cortisone shots in both. An MRI on my back, too, to rule out spinal stenosis. Net-net: my mobility on a tennis court was back where it was 2 years earlier and I am happy camper.

Wonderful. I went to three other doctors for the same problem with my hand, He was the only doctor who fixed the problem. One of the other wanted to operate. I highly recommend him.

He is an excellent rheumatologist. He listens and cares about what you are feeling and has the expertise in treatment modalities to help relieve your symptoms.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hirsh for a number of years. My primary problem is Osteo and Psoriatic Arthritis. He is a very knowledgeable and talented physician. His ability to relieve pain is most appreciated. He is gentle caring and listens to the patients. I could not be more pleased with the results!

For months Dr. Hirsch drained my shoulder and gave me a cortisone shot. Two weeks later it filled up with water again. Again and again, he did the same procedure month after month, always with the same result. Then he convinced me I needed plasma rich platelet therapy. which Medicare does not cover. That made my shoulder swell up even more and after about 3 weeks he had to drain it all out and my $975 went down the drain. I went to an orthopedist and he said I have a torn rotator cuff an the only solution will be surgery. Dr. Hirsch took many x-rays and he never mentioned this. The orthopedist said Dr. Hirsch could keep on draining it for the next 10 years and it would't help my condition. I feel I wasted my time and money going to Dr. Hirsch for all those months and I would definitely NOT recommend him

Dr. Hirsh and his staff are extremely thorough. They ran on schedule. He explained my problem, gave me options for treatment and and I left my first visit feeling much better!

There is not enough good things that I can say about Dr. Hirsh. I had a severe case of plantar fasciitis and if it wasn't for the PRP treatment I still would have been in severe pain. His office is amazing and his nurse is amazing. I have recommended many people to Dr. Hirsh and will continue to do so.

Dr. Hirsh is a most caring, competent and compassionate physician. I have been seeing him for 8 years; just recently I was in terrible pain with a fractured vertebrae. He handled the planning of my treatment and coordinated it immediately with a spinal surgeon. I recommend him and his staff very highly.

I needed to get in to see Dr Hirsh due to terrible siatic nerve pain. I went on line and scheduled the appointment at 7:30 am, less than an hour later I received a call confirming the doctor would see me. He reviewed my condition, my previous MRI and explained the treatment I need. I received some injections and feel much better. He is an excellent doctor in every sense. Also, Javier in the office is a gem!

Wonderful. Because of a foul up at the X-ray site I got back to the DrS office after the Drs had left the office. Staff on duty called him in his car and he turned around and came to treat my knee. Dr Galvez went above and beyond to help treat me. This was just before Passover and Easter. I got excellent service, which relieved my pain. I dealt with this agency in the past and am glad to be back in their service.

I found Dr Hirsh to be very kind and understanding of my concerns, but most important I found him to be very masterful in his profession. I came to see him because of reoccurring problems with my shoulder that had ultimately prevented me from doing things I loved. He handled my issues and gave me options outside of surgery. I went to see Dr. Hirsh for a recurring case of tendonitis on my left arm. He was quickly able to evaluate the condition and recommend a treatment plan. I have been to Dr. Hirsch a few times for osteoarthritis of my hip joints. First, my left hip was so painful I could barely walk. After he injected my hip using ultrasonography, the pain is gone and has been for over 6 months. Recently, the right hip showed similar pain, the procedure was repeated in that hip, and the pain is now virtually gone. Hirsch is THE MAN for joint pain short of surgery.

Best medical experience in Florida. Dr Marc Hirsh center is the most professional health care office in Florida. After 30 years that I was treated medically in Boston MA I was very disappointed from most Of my experience in Florida. Dr Hirsh was different he hear and understands my medical needs, he used best technology available, and after leaving the office I felt the difference. I am very happy with this choice. Thanks Doc
