Dr. Marc Jay Lustig

We were referred to Dr. Lustig for a second opinion and I am so glad we found him. He is so thorough; explains everything he is doing (which eases the nervous child) and has fantastic bedside manner. Dr. Lustig performed my daughter's eye surgery; he was caring and very professional. We do not live in Brooklyn but commute to him because we like him so much. I would highly recommend Dr. Lustig.

Dr lustig is great with kids. He is thorough and explains what’s going on. Although he had a full day, he also ran on time. I am grateful to have found out about him. I will definitely be referring more people to see him.

Dr. Lustig was very attentive to our daughter. He made our experience comfortable and answered all of our questions. It was a pleasant experience as first time parents.

The whole entire staff and Dr Lustig made my 5year old daughter feel very safe and comfortable. She didn’t realize was was getting examined because they made it fun. At the end of the examination, Dr Lustig explained everything to me and what our next steps were. I highly recommend Dr Lustig for your child.

We drive about an hour from NJ to see Dr. Lustig. He has improved my girls eyes (both girls deal with esotropia, and have one eye that turns in) the improvement on them brings me to the happiest tears & not to mention my girls love his funny sense of humor. Thank you Dr. Lustig from Gigi & Mimi!

My son was really nervous about his exam. Dr. Lustig used an amazing approach and relieved my sons stress! He’s amazing with kids! He explained what will be done directly to the child in simple terms which he understood with ease. My son felt like a million dollars! What more can you ask?

Just an amaZing physician. ! All around

We had great experience with Dr.Lustig, but Unfortunately! Although the assistant talk in a polite way, but I can tell she is a bit out of patience, she did everything "fast" and "rough," by saying rough what I mean is that when she pull the tape off from my daugther's eye, she pull real fast, my daugther still felt pains on her eyelid after the visit.

We have been using Dr Lustig for many years and he's just an outstanding doctor and an incredible mench!

Dr Lustig is great with my son and very practical in terms of next steps dealing with his strabismus. He's not rushing us to surgery but is instead monitoring his progress and planning accordingly.

My son is special needs and the care he receives is nothing short of a miracle. Everyone is so caring, patient, understanding, and amazing at what they do!

Dr. Lustig is a fantastic pediatric ophthalmologist. He has a wonderful manner with kids—cheerful, friendly, and reassuring—and is careful and clear to the adults. He clearly explains any treatment he prescribes and the reasons for it, and is efficient with his time. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get an appointment with him because he's so popular and not in the office all the time. But every doctor we've seen in the practice are excellent as well.

The doctor was outstanding. He was kind, courteous and explanatory. He was nice to my three-year-old; making him feel comfortable enough to open up to him. The reception on the other hand, wasn't. they were irritable, curt, and not friendly in the least. All they were busy with was, "Wear your mask", "No, Over your nose!". When I mentioned I can't talk like that, the response was basically, 'tough luck'. It was sickening. It is an eye doctor-not an emergency room. It didn't matter if you had antibodies, or double vaccinated, I wasn't allowed to look at them without a mask. All I can say is, it's a pity such a nice doctor has such a lousy reception. He was really so nice.....

There isn’t enough good things to say about Dr. Anna & this entire clinic. From the cleanliness, to the patience each staff member exhibited to the bedside manner. I will rave and recommend this place forever. We are so pleased with the care that we received. We’ll be back for sure.

We love our once a year visit so much we wish it was more frequent! But dr Lustig is such a great cater of eyes that we only need him once a year!

Dr. Lustig is the most professional, caring eye dr. His bedside manner is warm and welcoming. He clearly knows what he’s doing as he is part of one heck of a strong team of eye pros. I’d recommend him to any and all. You’ll feel well taken care of and my teens have been with Dr. Lustig since the age of 4. Now 14, and 18. He is at the top of his profession, truly gifted in his field!

Dr. Lustig is funny, great with kids and a real professional at the same time. He is extremely knowledgeable and very forthcoming with answering questions and sharing valuable information.

Excellent, understanding, to the point.

This place is a mill (I.e., they overbook like crazy), expect over an hour wait, even if you’re with a newborn. The doctors do their best, but they’re expected to see 20+ patients a day, which becomes problematic. Avoid at all costs.

Doctor Grace Liu was very pleasant and knowledgeable as well as knowing how to entertain the children. Dr Lustig is our#1 doctor. He is the best there is! Couldn't be happier with the care he gave (and gives) our little boy, starting with the initial cataract removal surgery as a newborn, follow up visits, eye muscle surgery, and continuous follow up care. Both surgery experiences we had with Dr Lustig were amazing. Outcomes are excellent. Staff and office is professional, friendly, and out there to make a new mom with a newborn as comfortable as possible. (They always helped me by warming up the baby bottle in the office when needed). The wait varies from a half an hour (often) to 2 hours (sometimes), but I've been elsewhere and this is GOOD. Dr. Lustig is exceptionally good with kids, at any age or stage. My little one remembers him and loves coming! He is patient and clearly explains things, listens well and responds to concerns, and is overall a real expert in the field. I feel that he cares for my child like he would his own. I highly highly recommend this doctor especially if your child has a congenial cataract like mine did -or any other eye problem that requires expert care. I've been to another top pediatric ophthalmologist in Manhattan but Dr Lustig is my preferred choice hands-down. I really trust his expertise and knowledge. There are 3 locations... 2 beautiful offices in Manhattan and 1 in Boro Park. I've been to all. Professional and well run. Dr Lustig is amazing, I cannot fully describe the extent of his expertise, nor can I adequately tell of his warm handling of my child in words. He is by far the best doctor I have encountered and he really cares. He loves his work, he loves children, and it is obvious. He performed two surgeries for my child and we couldn't be more satisfied. I highly, highly, recommend Dr. Lustig as an eye doctor and surgeon for children.

Dr. Lustig and his staff are wonderful. Every step from first appointment to post op follow up was efficient and pleasant.

Dr. Lustig is absolutely amazing with children. He somehow manages to do a complete and THOROUGH eye exam on my children (who have difficult eyes) all while keeping them so entertained they don't even realize they've sat still for the whole exam. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I take my kids on two trains (1.5 hour trip) twice a year to see him and my kids consider having an appointment with him a reward. He's just the best.
