If you have fibroids - Dr. Marc Winter is the chosen one. I was diagnosed with 3 fibroids (10, 7 and 5 cm). I used to say that I had a fruit salad inside of me. I said “used to say” because Dr. Winter successfully removed all via robotic assisted laparoscopy. When you have fibroids, you need to ask yourself what is your end goal. Do I want to keep my uterus? I don’t want kids so I am fine without an uterus? I am asymptomatic so I will just be mindful and monitor the fibroid growth. Decide your path and go from there. Find yourself a doctor that will listen to you and help you reach your goal. It took me almost 2 years to settle on Dr. Winter. When I was first diagnosed, my OBGYN at the time mentioned I should have a consult with Dr. Winter. I then of course didn’t listen to her and went for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th. My 7th consult said to me: “have you heard about Dr. Winter”? And I totally had a Lion King circle of life moment. I went through 5 different OBGYNs, and 2 different radiologists. I searched for the most non-invasive procedure because I wanted to keep my uterus almost intact. Almost every doctor recommended an open myomectomy cause of the size and location of my fruit salad. Literally a c-section where I would deliver my fruit salad instead of a baby. I still can’t believe Dr. Winter removed my fruit salad via robotic laparoscopic. What kind of sorcery is this?. He uses intuitive surgerical products..Davinci,Robot. He has made a living off of using women as guinea pigs. I told him he belongs in jail...and in my opinion he does. He is a great sales person...awful..awful..awful doctor. Literally ruined my life in June of 2013. He lies and lies and lies and lies. He settles out of court if you are lucky to get 10 bucks from him. Everyday I think of this man whether I want to or not-- He ruined my life as he took my health. Dr. Winter has my utmost respect and admiration. In the day of having to chase a doctor down for help, he is truly the exception. He is responsive and alert to danger signs .. I simply cannot say enough good about Dr. Winter. I trust him above all others.

I’ve been going to Dr.Winter for 15 years. He is an amazing doctor . His bedside manner is exceptional and he takes the time to listen and I don’t feel rushed at my yearly appointment. My mom recently started going to him per my recommendation and loves him also!

I owe Dr. Winter a review. He operated on me in March 2015 to remove a fibroid. The operation went extremely well. He did an excellent job and I can't thank him enough for it. I would highly recommend him to family and friends. Thank you so much, Dr. Winter. You are an excellent doctor!

Dr Winter is an exceptionally talented surgeon with a perfect bedside manner. He performed a robotic myomectomy to remove a fibroid in my uterus which had caused me to have severe bleeding and ultimately resulted in serious anemia. The surgery was performed outpatient. I avoided a hysterectomy. My recovery time was minimal and my scars are hardly visible. I highly recommend Dr. Winter.

Dr. Winter is an incredible doctor & person. He will do whatever it takes to make sure his patient(s) are doing good and are feeling good. I'm so blessed to have found a doctor like Dr. Marc Winter. I COMPLETELY recommend him.

I really dislike the enormity of the practice, with wait times on the phone, and standing in line to pay your bills. I want to be fair, my age demographic is over 65, so I can still remember house calls and the one person practice--but I get it, those days a long gone. HOWEVER, I really like Dr. Winter. I was referred to Dr. Winter by an OB-GYN who only specialized in at risk pregnancies, and is on staff at UCI and of all the doctors out there, she recommended Dr. Winter. He performed my hysterectomy in 2013 and my recovery was quick and complete. I like that he seems to stay abreast of the latest technologies that are shaping his field of practice. And he doesn't use a tablet while he's talking to you, but waits until you have had a chance to explain what's going on and ask questions you might have. Then, he puts the info into a computer. Getting an appointment can be an issue, at least for my particular concerns. But he's really good. I wanted to take the time to write a review for Dr. Mark Winter and his staff. A few months ago I visited his office for the first time and was diagnosed with a prolapsed uterus. He spent time with me and I did not feel rushed and after been given my options I opted for the laparoscopic hysterectomy. I also had to make a decision as to whether have my tubes and ovaries removed. Dr. Winter gave me the current information on this and it was up to me to make this decision. My thoughts were if something is not broke don’t fix it. I told Dr Winter that when he was doing the surgery if he found anything suspicious to remove my tubes and /or ovaries if not let them stay. Even though I am 62 years old I still felt keeping them might have some benefit to me and I had no history of cancer in my family. All of Dr. Winter’s staff at his office and the nursing staff at Memorial Hospital were professional, efficient and caring. Through Dr Winter and Dr. Skinner my anesthesiologist I was able to be discharged the evening after surgery as I did not want to spend the night in hospital. They made sure I was in no discomfort. I did not have to have my tubes or ovaries removed. It is a week since my surgery and I have one more week of no lifting but I have been walking and I feel great. I highly recommend Dr. Winter.
