Dr. Marcy Lee Howard

I do not recommend anyone take their child here. Prescribing the wrong meds for a common sickness after 20+ years of practice! Come on!!! My son had to see her when his normal pediatrician was out, if I would have known I would have waited or went to the ER instead! My 2.5 year old son had to suffer for over 2 extra weeks because she wrote the incorrect antibiotics. Which I confirmed with another Dr and a nurse practitioner. Had he gotten the right medication from the beginning it would have never gotten as bad as it did. You need to be better for our babies. Luckily I had a nurse practitioner that offered to prescribe the correct meds after hearing what Dr Howard incorrectly prescribed.

Saw us on short notice, good. Went downhill from there. She did not listen and was short with my wife. Went to another doctor with much better results. Two other doctors questioned her recommendations for my son.

Dr. Howard has been so helpful to me. My grandson is having some issues and she has gone the extra mile to help. She listens to you and talks to my grandson making him feel more involved. Some Drs. just talk over a child .Dr. Howard pulled him to our concerns.

She has been treating my son for 6 years and he won't see anyone else and her front desk person Marie is amazing

We are new to the area. The doctor and her staff have been great with our kids and answering any questions we have. No long waits and great at squeezing in sick visits.

We just moved to town and I needed to get my 3 kids into the pediatrician. We tried different people and had no luck. Her office staff was amazing they got us in on new patients sick visit. Her intern was amazing he explain things to the kids and interacted with them. So when it came to Dr. Marcy she sad mainly on the computer she was very short. With me and my children. She really didn’t listen to what we were telling her. It was all about some virus she’s interested in. We will not go return.

When you take your child to the doctor you can't get it wrong. Unfortunately Dr. Marcy did make a very bad decision and one can't risk a second bad decision on the health of your kid. We will NEVER be back. We should have looked at her ratings before we ever went. Bad decision on our part. I am just thankful there are other pediatrician in Crystal River that get it right.

Dr. Howard in the beginning seemed very thorough and spent a lot of time during appointments. In as far as my child's needs, I felt somewhat bullied into do what Dr. Howard wanted to do with little regard for my feelings. After starting a medication for my child (against my better beliefs), I stopped the medication and found a new doctor.

The doctor does not have bedside manners with children, she is too rough when checking ears and doesn't care if she is hurting them.
