Mark W Dersch

This practice has many physicians, all whom are expert in the field of Urology. They also have an ARNP who cleared my problems like a miracle. Their practice is busy, efficient and usually crowded However you will be served quickly and wonderfully.

Have been seeing Dr. Dersch at Advanced Urology for over 15 years and am very happy with him and his practice. By the way, Tressa, the x-ray tech in Oxford is awesome.

I have seen Dr Dersch for several years with Kidney stone issues and was pleased until now. However, I am now in the hospital with bilatetal cysts and he refuses to come and help or even send another colleague. Beware if deciding to use him. A Doctor is only as good as his staff. I don't like wasting my time . But, this Doctor has twice failed to allow me to see him by not being in the office I made the appointment at. Then, you don't get call back even from the office manager. Overall , a terrible experince.

Dr. Dersch is thorough, and never seems rushed. He listens, and answers your questions. He gives you all the information you need, and helps you understand what is going on in your body. He also will give preventative information. His staff is amazing! Nicole is super amazing at scheduling, Alexis is extremely efficient and a pleasant check out, Tressa is efficient and very personable in getting you ready for your appointment. They all seem to be able to cover where they are needed, and all seem to have a genuine concern for the patient. Acey, who scheduled procedures, called me before I reached my car; Wow! She is extremely fast and available! Everyone in this office has been pleasant to me every time I have had an appointment. Truly an awesome crew!!

Great Drs and staff. Brian and Janet were very attentive and friendly.

Visit went smoothly and efficiently. Dr. Dersch reviewed all test results with me and explained all content in simple and easy to understand language.

I am writing this review is to share my disappointment with the care and concerns that my husband William was given by Dr. Dersch and his nursing staff. In our most dire time of need Dr.Dersch was unresponsive to my telephone calls, or did not show up when he was most urgently needed. Making us feel like we were all alone with no support… not knowing what to do or to expect. For over ten years William suffered from prostate cancer. Recent prostate problems landed him in the hospital. After an 8 day hospital stay during which time Dr. Dersch preformed a Cystoscopy Bilateral Stents procedure, things were looking up for William. He was recuperating at home and getting stronger and better each day. After 9 days at home it was time for his scheduled Voiding Test. Things took a drastic turn for the worst. The test did not go as planned and a catheter had to be reinserted. But now instead of urine going into the folly bag (which was how it had been) it was blood and also blood was coming out

This doctor is how all doctors should be.

I had a bladder tumor resected that was encrusted with stones. Surgery on the 15th of August...one week ago. I came to in the Post op and asked the nurses if there was any stones...she looked at all my several bottles of urine and said "doesn't look like it...clear...no blood. Then I found out Dr. Dersh told my twin brother that it was a stone encrusted tumor. One week later I feel like a new man. I cant say it was easy going for me...but IMHO I think Dr Dersh is one of the Best Urologists.

Dr. Mark Dersch is a wonderful urologist and an excellent surgeon. He was able to remove several kidney stones, including one rather large one, while I was under anesthesia. The surgery only left a small scar on the right side of my back. He sent me home with enough medication to get me through the healing process with very little pain. He also went out of his way to try different medications to ease the spasms from the stent he left in my kidney. Leaving the stent was his way of protecting my ureter from an enlarged uterus pressing on it, and also to make it easier for the gynecologist to see it when he performed my hysterectomy. I still have kidney stones in my left kidney, which he said we will discuss options for in the next month or so. I trust Dr. Dersch completely and know he has my best interest at heart (that's not something many can say about their doctor). I would never want to go to another urologist. He is very kind, understanding, and patient. He explains procedures to my daughter and I in words that are very easy to understand, answers any questions we ask, and makes us feel safe, and at ease. had 2 doctor appointments canceled on short notice.....is scheduling his apointments 10 minutes apart....my LAST wait time was 90 minutes...lady before me 1 hour

Dr. Dersch wrote a prescription for me, and then would not do the prior authorization that was needed to get prescription. When the staff member called me that he would not give prior authorization until I got labs which I had done a week earlier. Seemed like he just wanted a follow up apt. My primary care never received any report from him.

Excellent Dr and staff. appointments are always on time, efficient, and the entire staff is friendly and caring. Dr Dersch cares and explains everything in a manner easily understood. He provides you with all options and helps you decide on best option and then proceeds in a very professional manner to accomplish stated goals.

Well organized and well run offices. Dr. Dersch took/takes the time to talk eye to eye with my husband and I. He makes sure we understand diagnosis and treatment options. I'm a nurse, but I didn't tell the office/doc that detail. His communications are consistently patient and family friendly.

Dr. Dersch's staff is beyond compare with their courtesy and helpfulness. They have a way to take the anxiety of going to a urologist.
