Dr, Ippolito sent me to have a MRI. He ordered it done without contrast. I did not find this out until he told me I needed a second MRI w/contrast. I asked him why hadn't he ordered it w/contrast to begin with as we had discussed my spinal fusion in length. The Radiologist said he could not tell if what he was seeing was scar tissue only or something else. I have insurance, but I am having to pay out of pocket approx $1,500 when it should have been approx. $700. In my mind it seems obvious that if a person has told you they have a spinal fusion, that it would follow that they have scar tissue...wouldn't you agree?
