I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Pomerantz. He is professional, courteous, and thorough. It may sound silly but even the way he introduced himself to me as "Mark Pomerantz" made me feel at ease. I felt that he not only listened but heard me out, and I left his office with a very peaceful feeling regarding the diagnosis that I was worried about for so long, which other doctors only made me feel worse about. I appreciate his expertise and calm nature. Highly recommended.

What I most appreciate about Dr. Pomerantz-- aside from his expertise and his affable disposition-- is his refusal to condescend to his patients. He treats us as intelligent people, and if his explanations occasionally border on the arcane, he is willing to rephrase them in layman's terms without appearing to 'dumb down' his language. Because Dr. Pomerantz keeps abreast of new developments in cardio care, he is willing to explore new medications, which he will recommend (or not) depending upon their cost as well as their efficacy. He is also connected to the cardiology center at Englewood Hospital, which offers a wide range of high-level testing and treatment should the in-office diagnosis warrant additional services. A visit to Dr. Pomerantz's office is both a stress-free and an educational experience; as a result, one comes away confident of having received excellent cardio treatment from one of the best practitioners in the field.

I would never, in good conscience, refer anyone to this provider. This doctor was in charge of my mothers care. He not only failed her once but a total of three times. She fell and ended up with stitches on Christmas Day. Soon after she began to get dizzy and we brought her back to the hospital for another catscan and to monitor her blood pressure because it was low as was her heart rate. Instead of having her admitted she was sent home. We made an appointment for her to see this provider and brought her in following this hospital visit. He did not give her an ekg to check her heart, did not order any further testing he took her off one of her pills and sent her on her way. The pill he took her off of was a pill he wanted her off of in October but she was scared and didn't want to come off of. So instead of actual tests he said "I told you you should have come off this pill, this is the cause of your issue". My sister and I had a conversation after my mother left and decided she needed more testing. My sister called his office and demanded a 24 hour heart monitor test and an echocardiogram. They agreed and we went to get the heart monitor. Within 4 days of having the monitor on, we received a call from this doctor telling us to get her in an ambulance and get her to the hospital immediately. We did and it was shown that she had a major issue with her heart. When this doctor showed up he said to my sister and I "I guess I missed this one". I said you think? My mother was admitted to the hospital. Her heart rate and blood pressure were erratic at best. We were told that her heart wasn't beating within normal range and they put her on a pill to assist in putting her heart back to normal range. While in the hospital she only saw this doctor twice and the rest was the house doctor the surgeon because they were thinking of putting a pacemaker in and the horrible house doctor. Upon discharge we weren't told about any other medications changing added her new medication to her daily routine. We went to his office for follow up and because my mother had an adverse reaction to the drug four days after discharge he gave my mother an EKG and said all was well and lowered her dose of her new medication . Printed out a sheet with what the visit was about and sent her on her way. We read the sheet to see that he took her off another medication she was taking but never mentioned it in his office or at the hospital. We again had to call his office and ask what was going on. He said he took her off this medication in the hospital but never shared the information. Other meds he took her off of in the hospital were never mentioned as well. He is the worst cardiologist that I have ever had to deal with and my mother has since gone to another. His office is refusing to release the electronic records saying that the doctors work and notes are in those records and this doctor does not want the new doctor to have them but they will only release what is in the paper chart, however, all of his records are electronic so I'm not sure what they will be giving us. He doesn't like to answer questions and become annoyed when you ask for an answer and his office staff is worse. I would never, in good conscience, refer anyone to this provider. I have been a patient of Dr Pomerantz since 1997 when I had a Heart Attack which resulted in a Quintuple Bypass. Here it is 20 years later and I am still here. Dr Pomerantz and his staff have taken care of me the whole time. Their service and skills are fantastic. I highly recommend them.

This provider not only failed my mother once, but 3 times and we had to change her provider. He was arrogant, as to her care, and because he needed to prove himself correct, when he wasn't right, and didn't order the testing she needed on her visit before she was admitted to the hospital without a phone call from my sister. He never told her that he took her off of medications in the hospital and my mother had a bad reaction from the new meds when home. He does not listen and hates questions.
