It took me a while to to really begin to appreciate Dr. Stevens. He does not adhere to his schedule at all because he spends more time with his patients than the average psychiatrist. Often I feel as though I've had a therapy session after leaving his office. He does not restrict his interactions with patients to medication management and it is rather off-putting to have lengthy waiting time before getting in to see him. However, he is kind and really gets to know his patients.
Opinion- he is arrogant and pompous Fact: I waited over an hour past my appointment time...no apology or even an acknowledgement. Also, he increased the strength of Effexor for me and I had a horrible reaction-severely depressed. I emailed him and called his office twice over the course of three days for direction and he finally got back to me on the fourth day. Four days of suffering due to his lack of urgency.
