I had a visit with Dr. Barschi on 6/13/16 at 12 Greenridge St, White Plains, NY office. I called on 6/14/16 and spoke to the receptionist (the frail looking one with thinning hair, bad dye job on her hair, and old jeans) and asked her to write a letter that would excuse me from work for attending this visit. The receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. She stated that she would not write me a letter and that in 27years no one has asked her to do that. I tried to explain myself and what my job needs from her and she just would not comply. She was very loud, rude, obnoxious and uncooperative. She proceeded to tell me to write on the appointment notification that "I attended" and that should be enough, because that's all I'm gonna get. I told her that's forging a Dr's note which is illegal. Are you asking me to do something illegal. She didn't answer that question, she just hung up the phone. I am appalled by her actions. I have never been told from a Dr's office that they do not write notes to excuse one from their job. According to the department I filed a complaint with, she has just lost this doctor some business.
